General Suggestion - Maintenance Staff should be inside/at the containment of what they're fixing. - Denied

What are you suggesting? - Instead of allowing Maintenance Staff to do repairs outside the containment, have Maintenance do repairs inside the actual containment.

How would this change better the server? - It decreases confusion as to why the containment breach was stopped, as Staff provide a vague answer of 'your breaching was stopped' when no one was at, for example, the 035 glass, fixing it in the process of being broken at the same time.

Are there any disadvantages of making this change to the server? If so, explain. - Little to no disadvantages, however, the one thing I could think of is that Maintenance need to take a few extra steps to enter the containment area in question (for example, the 096 doors, the 106 box, and the 035 glass container).

Who would this change mostly benefit? - SCPs, since they don't need to be confused as to WHY their breach was stopped.

Like going into the area where you can kill them? That would lead to a shit load of failrp.

If they've recently been RC'd by MTF, then they physically cannot do that.

Assistant Head of Maintenance and Engineering here: I would rather not go into the containment cell of a highly volatile and dangerous creature/object that could kill me if I step wrong. In addition most of the self breaching processes occur upon malfunctions/rusting/damage. This in turn would nullify the need to go inside of a containment chamber, as for any long term damage we typically go into cells when SCP's are off site and repair any long term damage that may occur. As for the confusion, most if not all self breaching process rules have the term of "Maintenance can stop self breach" In some sort of capacity.

Note: In addition this would add more confusion in my opinion as there are possibilities for the SCP's to murder said maintenance personnel or in 096's case they would be aggro'd when a person walks in.

Examples:
SCP-096's self breaching process can be stopped by Maintenance successfully fixing the door malfunction.

SCP-610's self breaching process can be stopped by maintenance staff checking/repairing the containment cell structure.

SCP-106's self breaching process can be stopped by SCP-106’s base being replaced by a Containment Specialist or Maintenance Professional.

SCP-098's self breaching process can be stopped by its cell being cleaned by a Maintenance Personnel.

Denied. The SCP-RP SMT has decided against adding this suggestion for performance reasons, the benefit to the server, or another unstated reason.
