ICR
Nobody likes mingey players. Lets say we did this: What you want to see? - On your first time on the server, the MOTD stays on the screen unable to close for 5 minutes. Why should we add it? - This may encourage new players to read the MOTD What are the advantages of having this? - We can have less mingey or clueless players on the server and have a better time. Who is it mainly for? - New players/Staff ICR/IceColdReality Former GenSec CPT/HOPO
Chip&Dail
This could discourage people to play on the server. They have been loading for 10-20 minutes and they are ready to play, but the MOTD is being shoved down their throat. They'll just leave. Thats why staff is there to keep the rule breaking away. Earl Scruggs
I agree with Chipdail, however something like this could be helpful if players have been told to read the motd by staff but they refuse. Some kind of command that puts it on their screen would be nice. But no it should not be required after loading in. Eternity
Most players know the rules upon joining. We can't force them to follow them. PoliceRP Manager
Mag1c
I agree with Eternity and Chipdail, if you are joining a DarkRP server, you usually know the rules. It is really whether you decide to follow them or not. Also they will just leave after like 40 seconds because no one besides people who actually want to know all of the rules would like to sit in the motd for five minutes. Aaron Faustin
-support to the suggestion for reasons above however i would like Mod+ to be able to force motd players that are jailed. That could be useful for some situations.
Matthew
Denied. The SMT team for this server has decided against adding this suggestion for performance reasons, the benefit to the server, or another unstated reason.
