1. Steam Name: MattMan

2. Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:114863335

3. Roster Name: Matt2

4. Current Rank: Captain

5. When were you promoted: 4/29/23

6. How long have you been a member of GENSEC (roughly): 6/01/22 - 11/27/23 + 3/17/23? - Present day: 8 months.

7. Do you promise to uphold all rules instated by GamingLight and by the many Security guidelines: I promise to uphold all rules instated by GamingLight and the Security guidelines.

8. Do you promise to uphold your duties as a command member in leadership, mentoring, problem-solving, etc: I do.

9. Do you promise that you will listen and respect your lower / higher rankings: I promise.

10. Why do you want to become a senior command member? (150 WORDS+):

I feel that I've worn the skin of low command for a while, having resigned and now once more as of late made it back to Captain. If I wasn't ready before I certainly am now. I've faltered to other branches but no matter what, I look at security and know it's where I belong. In my current position, I feel limited at my current rank because I wish to be able to do more to help out the branch. The basic building blocks of command are built on LCMD duties but I yearn for more than blocks. I'm certain in my eight months of experience, not to mention the time I spent in CI command, I can take a seat amongst my Senior Command and fit right in. I admit, I have my flaws and faults but I know I can make up for them. I believe I have proven myself competent, upholding my duties in a range that I do not end up pouring from an empty cup as I failed to do the last time I was captain leading to my resignation. I try to be on every day looking for those shining worthy of a promotion, I try to host an event every week so our Enlisted and NCOs may have some fun or have their voice heard. If an issue comes along ill resolve it, and if I need help ill go to my peers who I trust. In short, I wish to help more than I already can so this branch can continue to thrive. I hope to prove worthy of this position.

11. What would you do if a Security Officer was constantly leaving D Block: If an officer was constantly leaving D-block and I happen to notice, the first step is to ask them why? If they provide me with a valid reason such as going to med-bay or going to retrieve a different gun then I would allow this Officer to continue, if the situation is tight then I would ask them to try to stay in D-block to assess the current issues. If the Officer does not provide a valid reason such as wanting to chat with personnel outside of D-block then I would remind them of some valid reasons alongside telling them to remain in D-block unless they finally have a valid reason. If they continue to leave D-block without a valid reason then I would take the proper action whether it be a simple watch list placement and stern warning or even a removal.

12. What would you do if an NCO kept on leaving d-block with terrible reasons:  I would have this NCO come to bunks and join a separate TeamSpeak channel. I would see why this NCO feels the need to be outside of D-block considering an NCO should know the valid reasons already for they have the experience and a standard to achieve, being a mentor to the enlisted. If they are bored of standing around in D-block then I would encourage them to patrol. If we reach a compromise then the NCO would be dismissed with only a verbal. In the situation that this NCO continues to leave D-block with terrible reasons then I would have to take disciplinary action, most likely a strike or demotion depending if the situation gets to that point.

13. What do you do if an E-11 private comes into D-Block and attempts to take command of all of the security: I would tell the private to leave and remind them that E11 is not allowed in D-block. If this private persists then I would try to get evidence and send it to E11 command explaining the situation.

14. Explain the process of promoting a corporal to sergeant in your own words: After having them in bunks and TeamSpeak, I would provide them the NCO guide and go over the patrol and stationing guide. I would inform them that they can now become a sniper by asking a 2LT or higher and a FTO by a SFTO, then I would inform them that they can now apply for WO when apps are open. I would then tell them that they must have a forums account. Finally, I will tell them that they can now go on the catwalks. Once all of that is done I would give them their tags and go over how to do NCO activity logs, once all is said and done I would finally give them their whitelist.

DO NOT GIVE THIS MAN SENIOR COMMAND.

In all honesty, Matt2 is a pretty solid command member from my experiences with him and while I have unfortunately not gotten the opportunity to talk with him as of recent due to our very different roles, the limited time I had with him when I was a COL/MAJ was pretty good. Best of luck.
