[+/-] From the video evidence provided, in my eyes that would be ARDM. However according to the PRP MOTD, it states "Criminals must have a VALID reason to shoot at police. This includes but is not limited to - Having a warrant for shooting at government - Your vehicle being wanted in a prior pursuit - Your life is threatened by an officer" The person in question, did have a warrant for shooting a government official but his life was not being threatened by the officer in question. The rules DO NOT state that all of those conditions have to be met in order to shoot at police, it states "this includes but is not limited to" so the player in question was reasonable to assume that he was acting according to the Police RP MOTD. I am going to have to disagree with any action taken against the staff member and the player in question. However the staff member in question, if truthful that he did not give a chance to the player to explain his reasoning, then that was a mistake. He should've allowed the player to give an explanation and this would've most likely be taken as misunderstanding of rules and would serve as an education of the MOTD and a slap on the wrist, that is what was needed in this case. A verbal warning would've been justified for this situation, due to the misconception the MOTD can give.

[+Support] Funny number! Anyway, on a serious note. With my brief encounters I have had with you, you seem like a great law enforcement officer. You hold yourself to professional standards and have integrity while conducting your duties. I really can't comment on the "inactivity" that was stated in another responses because I haven't seen it. When I stated "brief encounters" it's because I tend to arrive on scenes and disembark quite fast, and don't really socialize at times. I think you would be a great fit for the job, I wish you luck on your application.

[+Support] It's been a a couple of years, and people can change. I suggest a removing the ban and place a note on him, if he receives any punishment for RDM related offenses in the 2 weeks of the removal of the ban, that the permaban would be re-issued. Also it's quite obvious that he put N/A for dispute probably because he doesn't understand what it meant. Also I checked his POs relating to his warns and its really not that much warns if you compare them to the repeat offenders that currently play the server. I wish you good luck on your appeal.

I got into Garrys Mod RP, around back in 2013 when VenturianTale and Vanossgaming were doing Gmod videos, I played off and on the GMOD rolepaly servers.

However as said above, this server is designed for a "mature audience", I am going to speculate that there is a reason for that warning. Which is foreshadowing that adult/inappropriate language is permitted outside the certain blacklisted words, such as derogatory slurs. As I have observed, the word "dick" has been used on the server many times, in different situations. If someone wants to have his name as "dick helmet", it's kinda weird but it's doesn't seemed to be defined in the server rules. The warning in the MOTD does alert players to expect adult language. When you connect to the server, you agree to the MOTD therefore the child that reported the issue should've read the MOTD and understood that. Not to mention, they shouldn't really be on GMOD in the first place. This may seem like +support, but It will remain as a +/- due to the fact this staff report was even filed, and because the MOTD doesn't define naming rules. I do not believe that this staff member should be punished, as he was acting on what he thought was right and wanted to keep the environment comfortable for the player base. I have experience as a Trust & Safety consultant across servers, and have coordinated with other T&S sub-departments, such as Discord's T&S & Facepunch Studios Support Team. Both of these organisations have a terms of service like our MOTD they dictate what is allowed on the platform and what you agree to when you join their platform. The MOTD defines the intended audience of the server, as I stated in my previous points. I just suggest that SMT define more in their MOTD, to avoid situations like this. I don't know if there is a punishment guideline for staff that has "inappropriate name" as an offense that can be moderated if so it's not defined in the public MOTD so the player is not at fault. If that is the case, then I just wonder how much punishable offenses are not defined in the MOTD. Edit: [-Support] I was in class when I wrote this up, so I was distracted but it had me thinking about the name that you choose to name yourself and knowing from past experience those type of name choices usually mean that they are either just trying to be funny, no intent to role play, or just a minge in general. I have done some checking of your warns, and I am just astonished how you haven't been banned yet, I will not defend someone that violates the server seeming like on a every other day basis.

Never had a problem with it before, but I use geforce because my PC itself is really old and can't run most servers on GMOD so I would actually have to open up gmod on my pc.

I just realized this ban is on every gaminglight server, yet I am not even on the ban list?
