SCP-049 Survey Logs: "The Finer Things in Life"
Sgt. Salvador replied to Salamander Guy's topic in Foundation Test Logs
9/10 +Love the layout and intro +Interesting test idea, I expect a follow-up document for the hobbies & pastimes/sports +Love the graph -Only negative thing I have is length. Could've been a bit longer. -- EDIT: Just now realized you'll be updating it. Next time, just hold out from posting it until you've got all the information you need, that way your grade isn't affected by it being shorter. Great test log overall! This is what I, and the entirety of command, loves to see! Keep up the awesome work! -
8/10 +Good test idea, it could help with specifying more on what 912's capable of enforcing. +Great layout, easy to read. +Took precautions to avoid issues with 912. -No visual stimuli -A little short Overall, this is a good test! Keep up the good work and keep pumping out good tests! You're doing great!

General Suggestion - Bring back crossing to negotiations! - Denied
Sgt. Salvador replied to IgnisNuts's topic in Denied
If RP is defined as people talking in chat about how much to sell someone for, then meet up for 2 minutes and walking off as RP, then I now understand why RP is lacking compared to combat. Sure, it's 'RP'. There's not much roleplaying going on in handoffs though. Right now, it's more of a rule than a RP reason for 'negotiations' to go well. It's one of the very few times that CI and MTF don't attack each other but I'm positive there's a way to give negotiations more than just "8k" "no 10k" "no 9k" "ok" And that's it. Maybe allow crossing only in specific scenarios -- Such as SCPs are the involved hostage, high priority targets are in the negotiation group, stuff like that. I like the idea of crossings being allowed because it'd make full sense to ambush. Maybe even punishments for a failed ambush and rewards for a successful one. Make it a balanced option. "If we decide to ambush them, we can instead get XXXX and XXXX instead of 10k." Maybe like new guns or a keycard for next raid, or more armor. Stuff like that. Punishments could be longer cooldown for raid timer, you must advert your next raid, etc. MTF could be rewarded with a successful cross with money, XP, new weapons, etc. -
Fix the Dr Maynard /Dr.Bright / Dr Thaddeus models
Sgt. Salvador replied to Nydekore's topic in Completed
Does not fix the missing RFA models. -
6/10 +/- The layout looks nice but could use some work. Decluttering mainly, the classifications confused me a little but I realized that they're for the respective SCP named. +Use of images to let readers quickly identify which SCPs were used. -Not much to it, length wise. I would've loved to see more in-depth writing about what happened to the D-Class. Such as what killed them. 'Cloud' could've possibly died to cardiac arrest due to a sudden and violent shift in biology? Stuff like that. -A bit confusing to read the observations. Make sure you clearly indicate who's saying what as well as what's happening. I.E. *Cloud grabbed the cup, drinking the liquid quickly* Cloud: "Tastes like an ethics..." Cloud then suddenly turned into a raptor ---- Still a nice test log though! Just needs some work on the layout as well as describing the actions and words of those involved. Doesn't need to be exact, feel free to change words around and what happened if you feel it isn't interesting enough to add!

SCP 432-1 Interview (for grumpys giveaway)
Sgt. Salvador replied to Adams the research one's topic in Foundation Test Logs
8/10 +Liked the layout of the document, thought could a little longer and more in-depth +Loved the use of an actual audio log, definitely want to see more -No test of SCP-432 in lore have SCP-432-1 speaking. Minor amount of points though, because it doesn't say it CANNOT speak either. -Length of test could've been more, though because of the use of the audio log, won't take too many points off for this. Overall, great test document! Keep up the great work and continue making more of them, I love it! -
What are you suggesting? - All actions that give XP should give double XP during "Double Salary & XP" Hours. Examples: Researcher testing groups, feedings (on the odd chance that there's enough people on during those hours). How would this change better the server? - It will encourage more testing and general RP activities during late nights, which may help with activity during those hours. Are there any disadvantages of making this change to the server? If so, explain. - It'll require some more activity late night from staff, or for those who need XP to log the activity either through picture/video proof to receive their XP. Who would this change mostly benefit? - Mainly branches that get XP through activities, so most people if not all. Please link any workshop content, screenshots, or anything that you think may be helpful to those who view this suggestion - N/A

General Suggestion: /it Command [Completed]

Bump. RP of every branch can benefit from this. Even medical and maintenance. Hurry up and +support this so we can get it in -
Name: (Steam) Sgt. Salvador - (In-game) Drake Salvador SteamID: STEAM_0:0:27835911 Current Rank: Lead Researcher Time in Research (Estimate): Since my second day on the server. A few weeks under two months. Why do you believe you should be in Research Command?(100 word requirement): I believe I should be in Research Command due to the fact that I am active solely in Research and have many ideas that could potentially benefit both the Research and the server as a whole. My activity on here so far has let me see how great the server is despite warns from my friends that the community and server isn't all that good but. I have obviously been proven wrong and I wish to further develop myself as a member of this community by being an example for other researchers to set for in order to strive to be the best they can. I wish to join Research Command because I believe my abilities and experience from countless servers over the past ten years can help research become more active and from that, benefit the server as a whole through a developed and stable Research Command. What can you bring to the table that others can't? (100 word requirement): Though I don't really like comparing myself to other players to my benefit, I can bring experience from both ten years of staffing and gameplay. I like to believe that through hours and hours of dealing with other players and their misfortunes to community-wide catastrophes has given me the experience that trumps most others when it comes to dealing with other people and how to keep them content or happy in situations such as sits and, most importantly in research, activity. I have seen many eras of types of communities and their structures within crumble down and need to be rebuilt due to low inactivity. Not just from players but from staff and command of the server. Not speaking about Gaminglight SCPRP, only of my previous experiences. I can bring to the table a mindset that has been molded by Garry's Mod and its communities within to try and keep it alive as much as possible through positive actions and a firm hand when needed. What would you do to better Research and increase activity? (100 word requirement): (Off-topic note: Writing applications brings back many, many memories from GMod.) --- My actions within research are all for the better of the branch. Either through suggested modifications to try and attract new players and keep activity high, holding mass tests on SCPs as often as my mentality can take them, try and think of new research test events to keep people interested and involved, and many more activities I may think of sooner or later. There's near endless opportunities of interesting RP and server-changing possibilities (if the right steps are taken) in Research, it just needs to be opened and dug through. As many people know, trial and error is one of the best routes to success. One of the methods I plan on taking is brainstorming new testing events, or just events within research, to keep putting out new activities for enlisted to partake in. I also plan on making sure enlisted researchers are continued to be heard by making sure to let researchers (And others obviously) know that if they have any questions, that they do not need to hesitate or be afraid to ask. No question is a stupid question. Unless it's a stupid question. Although admittedly, my training numbers aren't as high as others, my eagerness to see research thrive is just as high if not higher. I am willing and ready to put that eagerness into gear and try to find more ways to keep Research alive and functioning.

+Support Don't know exactly who Stabby is, but as a Gmod veteran, I feel that people who appeal permanent bans after so long have more often changed for the better. Also, Head Admin on Icefuse must've been nuts.

Sorry man. It's an American server, most people are AFK at that time anyway. You'd really have nothing to do that wouldn't involve some type of rule being broken, outside of the breaching one in this case, as most people would be AFK. The odd combatant or two may come out to try and stop you but odds are you'd just smash through them and they'd just go AFK since it's already pretty hard to recontain quite a few of the SCPs at peak times. Imagine if there were only 2 combatants on and 682 was self-breaching at 5 in the morning with 45 people on. The best you can really do is try to hop on during the weekends because peak hours extend during those days. -Support It sucks too because, as far as I know, there's no AU SCPRP servers.
-
Right now, SCP-096 is only strong for surprises around doors. Even then, THREE whole seconds. By that time, they've already turned around, ran up to you and posted their RC binds. What about making it so that if your body is even facing 096 for 1 second, if you're in the HCZ with him, he rages. But anywhere else, it's 2-3 seconds. Or maybe if he's in voice chat range and you even glance at him? Idk. There's plenty of ways we can buff 096 without making it hard. He's sorta' pretty bad. That whole thing with "Bursts of rage only last X minutes" is pretty funny, considering they don't last more than 15 seconds at most. +Support

+Support, even if it's planned, this sounds like a good idea if weapon balancing is priority with health and armor caps of some sort. -

[SCP-079 Pentesting/Hacking Test] ~ Research(10/22/21)
Sgt. Salvador replied to Julias's topic in Foundation Test Logs
The only 'safety' we have from 079, besides keeping it off the internet, is its extremely short memory. If someone were too breach SCP-079 itself and connect them to the internet after upgrading their memory? Phew... -

General Suggestion - Clarification on D-Class CC NLR
Sgt. Salvador replied to PlantBruh's topic in Completed
+Support D-Class should be able to leave their cell, go mine, and be by the elevator but CANNOT go ON the elevator, or press the button to make it go up.
