  2. In-Game Name: Abumi Steam Name: [GL] Abumi SteamID: STEAM_0:1:125882381 What is your staff rank and the server you work in? I am currently a moderator and I staff on Imperial-RP. (Note**Was given permission by Head of Staff to apply**). How often are you online on the forums? I am on the forums daily whether that is checking command applications, server updates, or even just checking the general posts in the imperial section. Why do you believe you're qualified to serve as a Forum Diplomat? I believe I am one of the most qualified individuals to serve as Forum Diplomat. I have experience in multiple communities such as Zeus Gaming where I had assisted my community as a Super Admin. Some of my roles included managing quality of posts, relocating posts if necessary, or locking/deleting posts that were spam or inappropriate. In addition, I have shown throughout my time as staff that I am reliable whether that is aiding players who are not familiar with the Custom job format and correcting their post or showing my support through forums posts when necessary for important decisions. I am also accountable as I always show up to meetings on time and have always done what I am asked of by my superiors in a prompt and timely manner. Furthermore, I am detail-oriented and am always looking for ways to improve as a staff member whether that is asking for advice or requesting feedback from my peers on my work. In the community, I am always respectful to my peers regardless of their status and have shown that I am approachable, friendly, and attentive in situations where its needed. Above all I have great communication skills whether that is speaking with my superiors such as JMT or SMT on where I can improve as a member of the community or simply advocating my own opinions on ways the server can improve on the forums even if its by simply +supporting a post on the forums because the community input has value and without our input the community would be worse off. Would you consider yourself to have good judgement? If so, please describe a situation that required you to make a difficult decision? I do have good judgment as a result of my experience. I have worked multiple management positions at companies and had to work through obstacles that had inhibited the work environment. Specifically, when I was in a leader position at Walmart I had to decide on whether or not to fire an employee or not. They had great work ethic, however, they did not cooperate with the other coworkers and often got into heated arguments with them as well. This led me to sitting down with them and discussing their conduct and how I can help them improve. After the discussion, I gave them an ultimatum on if it were to happen again that their place in the company will no longer be suitable. Despite this individual being a close friend of mine, I later had to release them from their duties because of the actions they chose by inciting more problems. As a result of his removal, the work environment began to thrive and we later found replacements that were more beneficial to department as a whole and led us to one of our highest grossing years for the department. Without having the ability to take my emotions out of an important decision it would have prevented me from being able to achieve a greater team. How would you deal with a situation where a user is spamming in various topics due to getting banned from one of our servers? I would first begin to hide the user's posts by reasoning of spam and reach out to the Head Forum Diplomat or a SMT member if the Forum Diplomat is not available at the time for a forum warning as a result of their conduct. I would then request for their future posts to be put under content moderation making it so they need approval in order to post further content. This will help prevent further spamming on various topics. How would you deal with a situation where two users are aggressively arguing with each other in a warning appeal? I would first lock the post preventing further arguments in the discussion then state why the discussion was locked. Afterwards, I would hide posts that are deemed against the forums rules and give the reasoning for the action in a response. I would work alongside Head diplomat/SMT in regards to all actions needed to be taken whether it be possible warns or content moderation for the users depending on the severity of their posts.
  3. In-Game Name: Abumi Steam Name: [GL] Abumi SteamID: STEAM_0:1:125882381 What is your discord username (Ex: Jayden#9452): Cjjjj#2415 What is your staff rank in Gaminglight? Moderator How often are you on Teamspeak? I am on TeamSpeak daily for at least 3-4 hours a day. How often do you use Discord? I use discord very often and am always watching for notifications or important pings. Why would you like to be a member of the Support Team? (150 word minimum)? One of the many reasons I would like to become support is in order to be able to provide the player’s a great support experience. I know personally if I am invested into a game or gamemode and something goes wrong, having a great support team only helps enhance players’ enjoyment. In addition, I believe I am great at actively listening to my community as I a staff member and I am always willing to help whether that is within sits or roleplay scenarios. Another reason is I that I have a calm and neutral personality I do not hold bias nor get emotional and let my emotions take over my decision making. I always view the issue logically and if challenged I have a foundation of knowledge to help towards a quality resolution for our players in the community. Lastly, I have always been a very giving person I stop at nothing to make feel people welcome and accepted into the community and I would be able to effectively translate that into the support team role. How would you greet someone that has a problem in one of our tickets, or support channels? “Hello, my name is Abumi and I am one of the supports here to help you today, what seems to be the issue you are running into and how can I help?” if Its evident that the player is not having a great day or is feeling angered I would reassure them and let me them know I will do the best I can to make their day even a little bit better.
  4. +support - leads very well - keeps it fun as well as serious when needed - does his best for the battalion - Helps out when I always need advice on anything Good luck and I hope to see that CMDR in your name ️
  5. Questions 1. What is your IGN? (In Game Name) : [GL] Abumi 2. What Regiment are you applying for? Stormtroopers 3. Why do you want to be a commander of this branch? I want to become a vice commander of this battalion to further my abilities to lead and guide our NCOs and Officers to leadership that they wouldn't think would be possible months from now. As a Shore Captain I enjoy the interaction I have between my shore troopers no matter what their rank. I am always constantly asking for feedback from them on what I can do better and what they would like to see to changed. The reason I decided to stick with STs in the first place was the welcoming and enjoyable members along the way and I truly believe that healthy environment starts from the highest in command and trickles down the chain. I want to be able to make my experience a reality for anyone who decides to stick with STs. From my experience the command team should be a direct reflection of what the ideal member of their branch should always be and that they behave as such even when no one is watching or they aren't being accredited for their efforts. In addition, I enjoy making/updating documents as well as hosting or co-hosting SIMs to provide more of a memorable experience for the troopers within my battalion. Having vice commander will also enable me to continue updating our battalion and furthermore produce much needed changes in the future as seen needed. Lastly, the new players that join Imperial-RP are some of the most important and impressionable players of this community and I believe I do my absolute best to assist these newcomers as a staff member and officer whether that is taking time to explain rules or simply just showing them around the map to leave a good image of our server even if in the end they do not stick with our battalion/server. 4. How much game time do you have on the server? I have roughly 7 weeks server time however, I have been playing since January of 2020. 5. What is the Main Purpose of a commander for a branch? As commander the main purpose is to ensure longevity and stableness of the battalion whether that is building up your roster or continually introducing new changes to keep it fresh for your branch. However, they also have to maintain rosters, documents, and additional information to ensure that everything that is said is as black and white as it can be and easily understood with little to few hiccups in between. I personally believe it is the commanders duty to ensure that all officers are taught on how to lead effectively yet efficiently in order to maintain day to day activity as well as continue the trend for well-taught NCOs and officers among a branch. In addition, commanders are responsible for addressing any drama that can occur within the battalion as they are seen to be most fit to handle in most cases and can solve issues. This is important because as seen from my experience in my two years even the smallest of drama can become immensely overwhelming overnight and can most definitely cause a battalion a lot of unnecessary burden as it can affect the stability of your branch. Above all, it is imperative that the commander provides structure and order to the branch as any disfunction can easily become much more. For example, if a tryout document is outdated and it contains information that is no longer valid that is then passed onto future trainees who then will go on to teach what they had learned. This then creates a cycle of misinformation that will eventually have to be widely addressed instead of taking the time to preclude this from occurring in the first place by simply maintaining documents. In conclusion, commanders will create a stable environment for their battalion, provide structure to train effectively, and lastly create continual development for the branch. 6. Why should we trust you to be a commander? : This battalion has really pushed me to improve upon myself daily in order to do my absolute best for everyone within STs. I have worked immensely to restore shore as an active sub-battalion, when I first became a Shore NCO I was all that we had. I had to step up as a leader and continually hosted 15-20 tryouts a week just to get new members. Even when I was not getting new members to join, I did not let that discourage and it only fueled my desire to continue to push for what I had envisioned. As a result, we have made measurable growth by having a consistent 4-5 active shore members on a day to day basis with 4-5 Shore NCOs creating more opportunities for Shore to continue expanding. In addition, I adopted responsibility for updating Shore documents and cleaning up the roster in order to improve the overall experience for my fellow shoretroopers. Specifically, I am always on-time when given a time restricted task and have always proven to my superiors that when given an objective it will be completed thoroughly and most importantly correctly. As my responsibilities have increased I have yet to back down and have always stood to the challenge no matter what sacrifices I had to make in order to make it happen and bring the battalion to new limits. As a staff member of Gaminglight, I am always adhering to the rules and enforcing them as well when broken. Furthermore, I teach my NCOs on leadership qualities that we should always try to improve upon such as respect, patience, and humbleness. From my time on the server, I have noticed humbleness can sometimes be an overlooked quality for leadership as power can easily go to someone's head and turn quickly into abuse within the blink of eye, I always think back to when I first started and respect everyone regardless of their rank as for me I can always learn from newer members and take constructive criticism seriously without taking it as an insult. 7. How often can you be Online? : I work from 1 pm to 10 pm CST everyday except for Thursday and Friday, but I am constantly on at least 6-7 hours a day in the earlier parts of the morning and a little later during the nights as well. 8. Do you have any Warnings? (What for?) : I do not currently have any active warnings.

  8. 1.What's your ingame name?: [GL] Abumi (Shore Captain 1SG Abumi TK4301) 2.Whats your steam id?: STEAM_0:1:125882381 3.Did you read the ST Sop?: Yes, I have read all of the SOP and understand its guidelines. 4.How long have you been on the server: I have been with the server since January of 2020. 5.How many warns do you have?: 0 current warns 6.Why do you want to be a 2LT: (Minimum 1 Paragraph) Being a 2LT will grant me the opportunity to better grow the ST regiment by promoting more enlisted who show leadership qualities and furthermore want to build from the ground up in terms of players. As an officer I'd also be able to give many of our NCOs leadership advice as I've seen what it takes in order to lead battalions to excellent activity and I will also be able to host more SIMs that are engaging and will lead to more turnout during events and other missions on the ISD. Lastly, I want to be 2LT to show other battalions that despite STs being labelled as "Mingey" or "Not serious", that there are people who take it seriously and are willing to put in the work for change as a whole even if its not easy. 7.What Timezone are you?: Central Standard Time. 8.How well do you command this Regiment?: (Minimum 1 Paragraph) As Shore ASL, I make sure to always be doing tryouts for incoming Shore Troopers as well as the regular STs and I do my absolute best to make sure they understand the rules from the SOP and teach them proper discipline even during times when others minge. During events, I give orders to STs for their battle-stations and where to properly position as well as explaining why we are positioned there so in future events they understand to head immediately to Courtyard/Pits Room. I am good at reeling troopers back in on a task if focus is lost and remind them of what we are doing and the positives of completing tasks such as promotions or simply a fun little competition to get the group motivated to give their best 100% of the time. 9.What makes you stand out from other applicants?: (Minimum 2 Paragraph) Compared to other applicants, I tend to be more understanding before judging a situation as I have experience of dealing with inter-personal relations between members of a battalion as well as experience in my own shoes of the drama that can sometimes occur from it. I am also well-equipped with all the necessary knowledge with Imperial-RP and the do's and don'ts on the server as I am a staff member and a gamemaster. One of the most important quality traits I have is my patience, I do not let my emotions get the better of me even in situations where it seems just to get heated or angered by someone/something. I always maintain professionalism even when I am on my custom class or other life as how people see me can affect how they view the Stormtrooper battalion as whole whether you like it or not. Another quality that tends to be overlooked is confidence, I am always confident in what I say and make sure when I speak it is articulate and understood. This is extremely important because as 2LT I would be leading meetings or possibly be ground command for events and you need someone who 100% believes in what they are saying and doesn't question their own commands as it could disorient your battalion and possibly call into question your capability as a leader.
  9. What do you want to see?: I would like to see the hotshot crate probability numbers readjusted more. Currently it is too low for meaningful profit at all and defeats the purpose of engaging players in a different means by granting players opportunity for progression in currency used to participate in different aspects of the ImperialRP Why should we add it?: It should be added because hotshot crates are already expensive for new players.Having tested over 4,000 crates. On average you are losing 30-50% of your original investment and for new players starting out with 0 GC that just won’t cut it for long term use of the crate system. The 5,000 and 7,500 are too common and the 20,000 GC rarity came to an estimated 10% drop rate making it a lot easier to just straight up lose your money in comparison to its original values before it was reworked (this in no form infers that the old values were balanced). Another thing to note if there is no money to be made out of crates. It becomes another addon filling/lagging the server and I really think crates are a cool concept to give reason for players and fellow staff members to afk overnight to best support GL servers and bring our community to greater heights. The crate system is the main way of making money ingame unlike other servers such as GL policeRP that have AFK jobs that have a higher wage increase compared to the normal job to promote AFKing overnight as said earlier. One of the solutions I was brainstorming in my head was to remove the 5000 GC drop all together and instead have the 7500 GC drop increased to compensate while raising the rest of the rarities by small progressive increments to more so balance the loss of 1 of the possible drops out of 7. It increases your odds while still making losing money not as punishing for investing your time into the content. What are the advantages of having this?: Allows for another outlet for sensible progression without spending irl money or climbing battalion ranks Grants an engaging activity to promote activity on the server even during late night hours for afking on the server. More GC for NCOs and officers to host sims with rewards correlating to GC and prizes as such to keep players active on the server and wanting to come back for more fun. Can add more people to joining the merchant to purchase items that otherwise would be barred off by the GC divide between players Who is it mainly for?: New players and long time players looking for engaging content to do outside of the daily regiment RP.
