In-game name: TrainOverlord

SteamID: STEAM_0:0:95000511

Current RP rank in All Divisions (Ex. Senior Medic, Security Officer): Research Supervisor

How long have you been an Event Team Member: Since 7/30/21

Have you received any strikes (please give reasons if you remember): N/A

How much time do you have on the server? (Press F1): 2 Weeks

How well do you know the SCP lore in general?: In general? Quite well, I know pretty much all common knowledge and some more indepth knowledge about the more hidden and unknown aspects of the SCP lore. Overall in a general sense I would place myself at a solid 9.

Why do you WANT to become a Senior Event Team Member?:

A Chance To Give Something More

Well, I could say there are many reasons why I would desire to become a Senior ET member. I would be lying if I said that the additional freedoms and privileges that come with being a Senior ET aren't part of it. While they definitely are they are it's more than just having access to these powers but rather what I can use them for is what truly drives my desire. These additional privileges will be used towards future events of mine. I believe being a Senior ET member will raise the bar for my events and with additional powers will be able to deliver more fun and unique situations to events for the members of the SCPRP community while of course using these additions with care.

My desire to be a Senior ET member however isn’t just about the powers that come with it but also the responsibility. Being within the ET I have a high level of dedication and admiration for it which in turn drives my determination to go so far for it in terms of events and this very application. I desire to become a Senior ET member not just because of the additional privileges but because I see it as a chance to give something more to both the Event Team and to the members of the SCPRP community. I strongly believe I am capable of handling the additional responsibilities I may be entrusted with and because of my enjoyment of being a part of the Event Team, it's almost natural I would strive for more.

Why should you be trusted to be a Senior Event Team Member?:

Activity

When it comes to activity on the server and as part of the Event Team I would like to think I do both sufficiently. I am on the server daily often hosting events or simply being on the role. I believe activity is valued as a Senior ET simply because an inactive Senior ET is an inefficient one. What makes my activity as an ET rather high is that I am not on the ET role purely for events but also for preparation of events and experiments for events which sometimes can take time. My events tend to involve building beforehand that further amplify the enjoyment of the events. Some examples of buildings I have constructed by my own hands and used for events can be found in the link below. I should be trusted with the role of Senior ET because my activity is what drives my experience and abilities.

Strikes/Warnings

Within my time of being a part of the Event Team, I have never had a strike or given a warning. I believe this shows several points of interest in me being an ET. It refers that I haven’t crashed the server (yet), abused my privileges, or done anything worthy of being given a strike. A good history of strikes/warnings is important for Senior ET as they are granted additional privileges which when given incorrectly can result in consequences on the server and themselves. However, despite this potential risk, my strike history is clean thus I believe I can be trusted with the Senior ET role when also combined with other factors of this application.

Event Planning

Arguably one of my stronger points and arguably one of the most important factors of being trusted as a Senior ET is the events themselves. My events are not planned instantly but rather always ahead of time and almost always with preparation beforehand in the use of dupes either constructed by myself or found on the workshop. This means that my events aren’t as simple as giving myself a gun and going on a killing spree within the Foundation but rather involve lore, an SCP, and a build to go off it. I find that when I construct something for the use of events (either a room, props, or something similar) the enjoyment and immersion factor of the event dramatically rises which is why I employ it so often. Sure, the construction of the event can take some time (upwards of an hour or more) but seeing everyone’s pure surprise and shock of “Where the hell am I?” is something I enjoy seeing and makes it worth it. My events tend to prioritize the enjoyment of the participants an example would be the creation of illusions of danger. To be more specific let’s say during an event that MTF is being shot at with an M79 escaping into the Foundation. Instead of killing them with the M79, it's more likely I would shoot extremely close to them and allow them to escape under the pretence of missing. Why? Because from their perspective they believe they just escaped death under the skin of their teeth thus creating a memorable moment in the event, a lot more memorable than dying and being stuck under NLR. Escaping an impossible situation is a lot more enjoyable to the players. That’s the type of planning that goes into some of my events and is important when considering event balancing. This isn’t to say I don’t kill or hesitate to kill individuals in events, however.

With the added privileges of Senior ET, these experiences can only be enhanced.

Something to note is that because events are planned doesn't mean they can't be changed. My events are flexible to be changed which allows my events to be changed significantly depending on the actions of the participants inside. Whenever the participants find another way to do something or do something entirely crazy, I allow it and alter my event to do so. However, that doesn't say there aren't consequences for actions. To recall a previous event to mind, a Foundation helicopter was requesting landing permissions and access to Gate-A over adverts. An unknowing E11 branch shot down the Helicopter resulting in the dangerous anomaly onboard to escape pre-emptively into the Foundation during the crash.

My events also tend to be inclusive. Whenever it's D-Class, Research, Gensec, MTF, or CI all branches typically see events from myself in some nature. I believe I should be trusted with the Senior ET role because my events are up to the quality and are inclusive to all parts of the server.

Experience

Tying up why I should be trusted as a Senior ET is the experience, I have gone through being an ET member up to this point. Since becoming an ET member I have gained a mastery of the ULX system, planning and hosting events of various sizes from passive to mega, and overall gaining a solid foundational knowledge on how to perform my duties as an ET member. I have solidified my dedication and ability to control and adapt to newfound situations in events and unexpected troubles while maintaining the quality of the event. I successfully can delegate roles and manage all situations thrown at me. I only believe that being trusted with the Senior ET roles will significantly raise these experiences and abilities to newfound heights and I welcome the challenge.

Have you mastered ULX?: Absolutely. I am familiar with the ULX system and the commands that we as ET use during our events. Oddly enough the one I had most difficulty with was sprint speed for whatever reason but I have a grasp on that now.

Are you experienced with planning Mega-Events?: Yes! I recently made and performed one. If you are interested here is the link to the now (public) document

Give an example of a mega-event:

Now, I could make another document like the one above but I promised myself for the sake of everyone reading this application I wouldn’t make it extremely long, so I’ll summarize it to the best of my ability.

Let's call it "Patrick Star"

To summarize it in sufficient detail, a series of cultists belonging to the Fifthists will infiltrate the Foundation with the intention of building a sacrificial rite within an available room inside LCZ. While this is occurring, similar infills will occur at Ci's base. When the cultists have successfully built their sacrificial rite they will sacrifice their souls to their god which in turn will cause a large black wormhole to appear on the surface. An advert will be made in open communications with little detail with the exception of "When it appears, the world will become a wasteland of doom and destruction". Right on cue, an unknown tentacle creature will begin to appear out of the wormhole at a slow rate (made in percentage % rates over comms). As long as the wormhole remains open creatures from another world will descend upon the server (in the form of zombies) that will attack everyone throughout the Foundation, surface, and CI's base. The overall goal of the server is to stop and close the wormhole before the entity leaves it which is currently protected by a large energy shield. If CI/MTF arrive at the scene of the wormhole they will discover a computer that was set up by the cultists beforehand that is required to be hacked into before they can attempt to stop the approaching entity. When hacked into, the server will discover that to prevent the entity's arrival they must destroy the sacrificial rites that were set up across the server.

it is basically a race to disable the rites before the entity leaves the portal with the Zombies slowing them down. The cultists will be reanimated by the entity to protect the rites in order to slow the server down.

If the Foundation is successful in destroying the rites the portal will close cutting the entity in half. The half (or %) that left the portal will remain alive however and the energy shield protecting it must be disabled at the terminal. Once disabled surface personnel may open fire at the entity in whatever method successfully terminating it.

However, if the Foundation fails and the entity exits the portal it will destroy the site and everything around it requiring an RP reset. It's basically a 'game over' screen of the failure of the site.

What do you consider to be the best event you have ever created:

I'm going to assume it's cheating to say the mega event. If I’m not considering the mega event I would say overall it's difficult. Different events have different aspects that make them the best. Whenever it be enjoyment, planning, or how it turned out. Throwing one out there, however, I would say this little event here.

20210914134505_1.thumb.jpg.7364243528040abe5cc11614c75e6457.jpg

To summarize the event. MTF bought a unique portal from two anomalous door salesman under the thought that a high-ranking Foundation official was trapped inside the portal injured. MTF forces entered the portal and found themselves trapped inside as the portal itself was a trap. MTF found out that to exit the portal they had to collect 4 ‘cores’ from various trials inside the room. Firstly, they had to survive a few hordes of Zombies in order to proceed. Before proceeding, however, MTF had to offer a 'sacrifice' to proceed. Originally a sacrifice was required however, they opted to take a harder wave of zombies instead which I compromised on.

There were 3 trials. Trial of ‘Wit’, ‘Strength’ and ‘Knowledge’.

Trial of ‘Wit’ - MTF had to answer 3 increasingly difficult riddles and whoever answered them incorrectly was killed. = They survived the trial and gained the first core

Trial of ‘Strength’ – MTF had to kill a large dog-like creature. = They survived with causalities and gained the second core

Trial of ‘Knowledge’ – MTF had to answer questions to proceed.  = Once again survived granting the third core

After overcoming these trials MTF forces had dwelled. They were, however, given the option to bring back the fallen MTF as the consequence of undergoing a significantly harder wave of Zombies. MTF had accepted and their brothers were resurrected. However, the wave was gruelling, and one could argue its worth.

Afterwards, MTF had to fight the two demonic creatures. MTF had come victorious however, only 2 had survived the ordeal. The last core was dropped, and the survivors exited the portal leading it to collapse in behind them.

What is your Total Amount of Events according to the "Events Hosted" column on the roster?: 15

How active can you be: Same activity as usual so on a daily basis for a few hours. Translation would be an 8 or 9.

From the few events I have seen train do, his events are always entertaining and creative. My personal favorite was the scarlet kings sister event or somethin like that. He also wrote more for his app then I did for my school essay so, there's that.

I played in this event. It was well thought out and fun, and I hope for more events like it.
