Upon entering, I took numerous pictures of HCZ. I then encountered an MMF, who shot at me twice but didn't hit me. I shot back and killed him in self defense. At this point, I was simply trying to get out of the facility since I had been shot at. I go up the elevator, only to run face first into an O1. He immediately attempts to cuff me in the enclosed elevator. Due to being shot at previously, I felt my life was in incredible danger and opened fire in self defense, fearing what would happen should I be detained. I was then reported and told that being cuffed was not a valid reason for self defense and promptly warned. Why do you think this warn was false: Lets think abut this realistically. I've broken into a government facility to gather information, and am immediately shot at by the first person that sees me. Believe it or not, I'm going to be on edge, so when I run into another person and they immediately try to detain me, my characters gonna light em up because of the fear of being fucking executed upon being cuffed. I think I had a valid RP reason to fight back, and a warn wasn't necessary. Are you supposed to resist arrest which will eventually guarantee your capture or just... let yourself be captured? Example: A maintenance can shoot back at a CI that tries to shoot him but that doesn't satisfy him going ballistic on all CI. In this case 1 guy opened fire, he got shit on then you are no longer in fear. It's really stupid so I DONT THINK YOU SHOULD'VE BEEN WARNED however.. shaft Posted July 22, 2023 Share Posted July 22, 2023 I was the warning admin. In the clip, the MMF did shoot at you, which warrants a reaction of lethal force. However, this does not carry over to the next person you come into contact with. The O-1 simply tried to cuff you which is not threatening to your life in any way. The rules regarding civilians clearly state, "Civilian jobs are non-combatant with the exception of: - Sheriff - MC&D Associate - MC&D Sales Specialist". Reporter is not included in this list, which was the job you were on, meaning you would be held to the non-combatant self-defense rules. As for a realistic situation, I highly doubt that a reporter who has broken into a highly secret facility would take it upon themselves to murder a heavily armed man with a DMR when said man was simply trying to cuff them. Goat Posted July 22, 2023 Share Posted July 22, 2023 Not only did the MMF not hit you once, the Omega-1 who was completely unrelated to the situation, whose job it is to handle ethics, you killed after they tried to cuff you....I whole heartedly believe with Shaft and believe he took the correct course of action here.
