Minor 682 rework - Denied

What are you suggesting? - SCP-682 rework

How would this change better the server? - it would bring more of a realistic sense of 682 and how it functions with the rest of the server

Are there any disadvantages of making this change to the server? If so, explain. - It might make 682 a little overpowered but that’s also part of the point

Who would this change mostly benefit? - people who play as 682 along with those trying to contain it.

Please link any workshop content, screenshots, or anything that you think may be helpful to those who view this suggestion - N/A

 

Implementation: Weapon: 682 swep

Buff: Change it from single point to an Area Of Effect more like a cone.

Suggestion: So currently to avoid being hit by 682 all someone has to do is repeatedly jump crouch and its near impossible for 682 to hit them. My recommendation is to reduce the range of the attack while creating more of shotgun pellet style spread that only goes a certain distance. This would prevent crouch spamming but also keep 682 from becoming too overpowered, even though that is kinda the point.

Massive +Suppoort but this must be changed for all SCPs with Varius Ranges to their attacks.

This Clip currently shows best the current state mtf vs SCPs are, we spread out ,( like it should be ) and then when he reaches us, we jump around like crazy. This is an absolute horrendous Experience as SCP, you essentially wait 15+ minutes to kill 1 to 2 people max. And be recontained 1 minute after getting to LCZ

It's a bad example for this suggestion, that day there were probably 30+ MTF and multiple SF all at the CP to deal with 682 alone. Of course he got shredded, not because of spam but because there was 20+ people there shooting at him. It also takes some sort of strategy playing any SCP, if you wanna run into that crowd and get mauled then that's on you to do so.

Other than MTF meeting day, which is when that clip was taken, when 682 and other SCPs are breached there's only around 10-20 MTF max and most wouldn't even be able to respond to the breach quickly, during prime hours even. During these hours 682 easily gets out, and stays out for around 30 minutes minimum depending on if they run into groups of people that they shouldn't.

 

Other than that, I'm 50/50 about this only because it then may be able to kill multiple people, or accidently hit ones you don't  want to, but I wouldn't mind the range nerf whatsoever.

Also it's not impossible to hit people spamming, I've seen multiple terrifying 682 players dominate the server for around 30 minutes or more cause they're simply more skilled.
