  1. Vice Sovereign Application 1. What is your IGN? (In Game Name) Lore Senior Guard Rev | Saber Guard Incarceratus 2. What Regiment are you applying for? Imperial Royal Guards 3. Why do you want to be a commander of this branch? I am looking to become a commander as i look to progress my experience and be able to bring a new experience for the server and the Royal Guards battalion with a new command member. I have also been a Vic Sov before, but unfortunately I received an injury which effected my attendance and I had to leave the server for some time. However I wish to make up for the past issue by apply for the position again and bring a new experience to the battalion that people have not seen within the battalion before. I also wish to become a commander within the battalion to sharpen my skills with the server, as I know some things are different from what I have done over the years as a leader and as a commander. This will help me understand what will need to change within the Royal Guards. I also want to become a commander to show other that I am capable of leading them and to show that they are being heard. I am also wishing to become a commander within the Royal Guard battalion to make changer's where possible. This will be done by going to every Royal Guard member and letting them speak their own mind. No form filling out as i know most people prefer speak one to one. However this does not mean i wish to remove the suggestion forms at all. I would simply like to speak one on one with each member and see what they want to changed or be improved on if I am given the chance to become a commander within the Royal Guard battalion. I also want to become a commander of the Royal Guards as I know i am more than capable of doing so. With my knowledge and experience I do believe I can make great things happen within the Royal Guard battalion. For example. I have already made a few documents as a member of the Royal Guards, I have also make sure that people under me have a voice to be heard. I also speak my mind to the current command staff with matter that need to be addressed. I also have the many years of being a leadership figure and as a commander of troopers/members. I know for a 100% that I will make a great commander within the Royal Guards with all the skills, experience and knowledge that I have. I also wish to be a commander as I believe it is time for a new face on the block, however this does not involve others apply. I believe with my time in the Royal Guards I have gained lots of information and also seen different sides to other members that have been in the position before. This will put me a step above them as I see what the command team does not see right now. This will benefit the Royal Guard battalion in so many ways. 4. How much game time do you have on the server? 8 Weeks 5. What is the Main Purpose of a commander for a branch? When you think of a commander of a branch. Most people will think of a strong willed person, but some people will also see a different side of this. However I believe a commander is to lead his guys and go above and beyond for them. Even if it means putting himself at risk. However the main purpose by default for a commander of a branch is to make sure that his or hers members of their branch is to tow the line. This will always start with the lower ranking officers. If other officers fail to perform then the NCOS will fail as well. This will also continue down to the cadets. A commander must go out of their way to make sure that the chain does not brake. This is all held together by the commander. The next purpose of a commander is a hard task/job for some. This is administration work I.e. sorting documents, training files, arranging new types of files and keeping a database updated. Most people do falter at this however I know I will not as I have had many years doing all of what is listed above. Another purpose of a commander is to hear is men/members out. If a commander or leader does not take input from his or her members, then they are not a team player. This will make people hate their commander and will lead to people rising up against them or even members leaving. 6. Why should we trust you to be a commander? : I know I can be trusted with a commander positions over the years I have lead many groups on a wide range of games. The most i have lead a group is for 17 years and I still do run part of a branch/Section/battalion. I also deal with administration work, which I know comes into play with a commander position. With that knowledge I know I can be useful and bring a lot to the table. To add onto my experience but focusing on Royal Guards. I have been in the battalion for quite sometime. And in this time I have spoken my mind, made many suggestions on how to improve the Royal Guard battalion. I do believe that some of the suggestions that have been made were also where I went out to other Royal Guard members and let them speak their voice. This I know is important to do as some people do not put suggestions forward in our suggestion form, but would rather be asked person to person. I believe I can also be a commander for the following- Trust worthy Reliable Responsible Man of my word Respectful Active Take responsibility for my battalions actions 7. How often can you be Online? : My activity time frame depends on the day due to work. However in total per-week I will say 20-30+ hours a week. 8. Do you have any Warnings? (What for?) : I have no warnings for the Royal Guards battalion or any other Battalion on the server. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2. 1. What is your IGN? (In Game Name) : Elder Guard Filler 2. What Regiment are you applying for? Royal Guard 3. Why do you want to be a commander of this branch? I wish to become Vice Sovereign to help lift some of the responsibilities off Reaper's shoulders and to make Royal Guard a better regiment. I feel like Royal Guard requires more that just one command member, as there is too much to do, though hats off to Reaper for taking on Royal Guard command by himself, and as I love this regiment with a burning passion, I wish to become their Vice Sovereign. Since joining RG and rising to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, my commitment to the Regiment has grown and I deeply care for its success and still continue care for it, hoping to set a shining example for all members past, present, and emerging. I am eager to do more for the Royal Guard as a Vice Sovereign as I am limited as a Lieutenant Colonel. Additionally I am an Australian, this means Royal Guard will have a nearly 24/7 command team, which can really help as people are able to contact a Vice Sovereign at any time of day. I would also like to improve Royal Guard's enjoyment as a lot of Royal Guards goes inactive due to lack of activity of VIPs. Royal Guard would needs more activity, and I will be a active Vice Sovereign and will make people are getting on and doing quotas. I am a more laid back type of person which is good for Royal Guard as it shows that we are a fun little community, but I am very much capable being strict when required. Overall, I my desire to become a Vice Sovereign is to help improve Royal Guard in any and all ways possible. Royal Guard should be the role models of the server as we are the most recognizable people on ship, and I will make this reality. 4. How much game time do you have on the server? 1,304:41 At time of writing 5. What is the Main Purpose of a commander for a branch? The most important role of a Vice Command, and in this case Vice Sovereign Protector, is to support the regiment's Commander (Sovereign Protector) by being the first to addressing any arising issues or challenges. Additionally, they are responsible for maintaining and updating essential battalion-related documents, including the roster and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Ensuring the currency of all information is crucial, and they are accountable for promptly addressing and resolving problems and suggestions. The Vice Sovereign's duties extend to overseeing the training and preparedness of Officers and NCOs for leadership roles. They play a vital role in implementing appropriate disciplinary actions for those who require them. Moreover, they act as the main spokesperson for their respective regiments, being readily available for lower-ranking individuals or representatives from other regiments to listen to their concerns and issues. It is essential for Vice Commanders and Commanders to function as a cohesive team to eliminate any doubts about their competency in performing their duties. They should communicate effectively with each other and report any issues they cannot resolve internally to higher-ranking authorities. This collaborative approach ensures the smooth and effective functioning of the regiment's command structure. 6. Why should we trust you to be a commander? I can assure you that my experience as a Commander on other games has prepared me for the role of Vice Sovereign, even though I haven't served as one on this server yet. I am fully aware of the responsibilities and expectations that come with being a commander, and I am familiar with the do's and don'ts in such a position. Rest assured, I am committed the Royal Guard. I have no intentions of seeking opportunities elsewhere, and I am dedicated to making the Royal Guard my permanent regiment. Even if not chosen now, I will patiently await the possibility of being selected in the future. The encouragement and support and help from others have inspired me to consider applying for the role of Vice Sovereign. I don't wish to let down those who trust and believe in me. If given the opportunity, I will handle the position with utmost care and responsibility. Moreover, I possess the ability to handle stressful situations effectively. If challenges arise, I will persist and not give up easily. I am determined to overcome any obstacles that come my way. Thank you for taking the time to consider me for the position. I hope to earn your trust and be given the chance to serve as your next Vice Sovereign. 7. How often can you be Online? : I'm online mostly during my afternoons which are the server's off hours, but I do strive to get on during early in the morning any chance I have to help Royal Guard. 8. Do you have any Warnings? (What for?) : 1 RDM as people got into my way of kill orders.
  3. What is your IGN? (In Game Name) : SHGOC Lore Senior Guard Aero 2. What Regiment are you applying for? The Royal Guards 3. Why do you want to be a commander of this branch? I wish to become a commander of the Royal Guard battalion as I have a goal within this server. My goal is to become the Dart Vader of the server. Most people already know this is my goal and becoming a commander within the Royal Guard battalion will help me get to this goal. However if I am rejected to become a commander within the Royal Guard it will not stop me. I will always keep pushing for this and I will always be trying my hardest to reach my goal. What members want- More activity's [New] Missions [RG only or RG, IQ base] More duty's to carry out. Another sub branch [This will be hard to get | Not just Pilots] These are just but a few things that the Royal Guard battalion lower ranking members want to see. And I know for a fact most of these have not be pushed as a suggestion, so with that knowledge this put's me above of members as they know I will push what the members want and I know most of it will get rejected, but they need someone with a voice to try. 4. How much game time do you have on the server? 6 weeks and still going. 5. What is the Main Purpose of a commander for a branch? When you think of a commander of a branch. This will show that I always do what is needed and they know I go above and beyond what I do for the Royal Guard battalion. 7. How often can you be Online? : The minimal hours I usually play per week ranges from 48-56 hours. However this does change depending on the days I work. However I still try to be active after work. 8. Do you have any Warnings? (What for?) I do not have any warnings at all within the Royal Guards and Shadow Guars. Thank you to all who have supported me and for any who will. And thank for for any feedback for myself.
  4. 1. What is your IGN? (In Game Name) : SHGO Lore Senior Guard Vacander Jax 2. What Regiment are you applying for? Royal Guard 3. Why do you want to be a commander of this branch? First and foremost, I want to help lead an already unique and fascinating battalion in the best ways I know how. I love to teach and pass on knowledge that has been personally accrued by myself or passed down to me. With this in mind, I would like to be the person that any Royal Guard member, regardless of rank, can approach for guidance in any aspect of the duties that we carry out as well as personal issues that might be affecting them that they need to talk to. I believe that it is essential to help with mental well being if we are going to lead a battalion with efficiency as we are people at the end of the day. I feel as though this position would grant me a broader spectrum in which to implement my style of leadership so that I can put my best efforts into making this the best battalion to be a part of. In addition to the things I mentioned in the first paragraph, I also want to be able to have a direct influence on in a leadership position such as this so that I can be a voice for all of Royal Guard. This is directly in tandem with the aforementioned approachability aspect. I have been in several leadership positions that encompass both video games and real life and I have always enjoyed having the ability to be there and go to bat for those placed in my charge. With all these things being said, I also want to become a Vice Sovereign for selfish reasons as well. That sentence tends to come off as a bad thing, but I will explain. I take great joy in doing things for people that make them happy. I have no care for GC or items which usually all go towards giving a new player a leg up in their future with Gaminglight or to fund sims which I do to keep things interesting within the battalion. There needs to be a sense of giving when in a position of command and I know and want to bring that to the table as a Vice Sovereign and hopefully beyond that position, if its in the cards for me. Experience also counts for leadership and I have plenty of that to go around. I want to take that experience and share it with all of Royal Guard so that we can all achieve the greatness that this battalion is and has potential for. I also want to use this to mold future leaders who will hopefully take my spot after I have vacated from it. In short, the main reason I want to become Vice Sovereign is to further strengthen us as a battalion and a family. 4. How much game time do you have on the server? I have 5 weeks in total as of right now 5. What is the Main Purpose of a commander for a branch? This has many answers, as there are many facets to command. First is to lead the battalion and keep it running like a well oiled machine. Doing this requires swift action and judgement. Handing out punishment is the dark side of this, but the better side is handing out merits such as promotions, rewards and more or different responsibilities. People should be eager to get on and play on their Royal Guard job and should get a sense of enjoyment out of it. A different aspect is to go to bat for those under your command. What I mean with this is that you should be willing to sacrifice anything if that person is in the right. I would gladly sacrifice my rank for anyone in my battalion as long as they are in the right. This does not mean, however, blindly sacrificing for no reason. This is where good judgement comes into play as it is essential for anyone in a commanding position, regardless of if its in real life or in a game. Having tact is another facet of command. If one cannot talk to those in command over them in a respectful but direct way, then they are lacking as a commander. Balancing compromise with rigidity goes hand in hand with this. If a commander is a doormat, the battalion gets steam rolled, if they are so rigid that they cannot see the point of any compromise, the battalion still gets steam rolled. With this in mind, a commander should be able to know the perfect medium between the two and be able to use tact to relay to higher command where they are willing to compromise and where they are not. Lastly, a commander should understand that, at the end of the day, they are there for the battalion and those in it and not for themselves. The commander should not dictate policies that no one else in they’re charge agrees with unless absolutely necessary. With this, suggestions should be welcomed openly from anyone in the battalion. 6. Why should we trust you to be a commander? : First, I have been in this position before and know the duties and responsibilities of a Vice Commander. I was removed from position about a month into it, however. Most of that stemmed from an inactivity period that was spurred by someone with which I did not agree with who is no longer on the server. It ran deeply within me and I could not justify trying to help lead a battalion while having to beg for scraps of information about what was happening with different situations occurring within my battalion. With that being put into the open, I do have reasons that are very valid for trust to be extended to me for this position. I do not back down and I am willing to stand up to something that I believe to be unjust. I have no problem doing this, but if I am shown that I’m in the wrong, I will see that and immediately back down. That being said, I also know when whatever the decision may be, if its for the best of the battalion and people in it, I will endorse it to a fault. My experience is a huge factor not only in regards to my past positions held, but also from my real life positions. I am a veteran and have led my fellow service members into real battle as well as dealt with administrative things back home when we were not deployed. I have also been in leadership positions in a plethora of civilian jobs as well. These experiences coupled with my love for this battalion enable me to bring a lot to the table as a leader that I think will only help to benefit Royal Guard and someday, maybe the server as a whole. 7. How often can you be Online? : I can usually be online every day at the end of work. The time that I can be on depends on my schedule, as being a truck driver tends to make my schedule erratic at times. I can usually be on for two hours at a minimum everyday, but I have also been know to sacrifice sleep so that I can stay on and help lead or do sims for my fellow Royal Guard. 8. Do you have any Warnings? (What for?) : I have zero warnings
  5. What is your IGN? My in-game name is Caps or SHG Lore Senior Carnor Jax. What regiment are you applying for? I am applying for Vice Sovereign Protector/Vice Commander of the Imperial Royal Guard. Why do you want to be Commander of this branch? I want to be Vice Sovereign because I enjoy participating and interacting with all members. Personally, Royal Guard is perhaps my favorite branch to be a part of and participate in. The Roleplay is fun and interesting. The members are great people and how we coordinate with each other and cooperate with other Battalions is impressive seeing as how it is so fluid. I like to help and work alongside the Vice Sovereign Steel to allow for the Battalion to operate at peak efficiency. Right now, I seek to revise this Battalion and help it achieve its full potential as a Branch. As a Vice Sovereign, I entirely believe that I can help create better relations with other Battalions and try to organize better joint Sims and Ops. I want to progress not only myself but also the Royal Guard Battalion as a whole. I try to maintain my activity in all its aspects: the Forums, In-Game, Discord, and TeamSpeak, to be available for anyone in need of assistance or potentially if Steel needs to reach out to me and ask me to handle something for him. I seek to progress in this Battalion and that is why I want to become a Vice Sovereign Protector. What is the main purpose for a Commander for a branch? A Vice Commander must be involved with whatever it is that goes on inside of their Battalion. A Vice Commander has many jobs such as: making sure the Roster is updated and kept up-to-date, Vice Commanders should be active in the GamingLight Community since they are a major representative of their Battalion/branch. Vice Commanders should be making sure that their members are feeling welcome and should be giving everyone a voice in future decisions that impacts them. Vice Commanders must monitor their officers and make sure they are doing their jobs wholely, as well as making the decision to appoint new and responsible officers who are both capable and responsible enough to lead both new and future members of their Battalion. A Vice Commander must be tracking the Battalion's activity (making activity pings and contacting any inactive members whenever it's necessary). Finally, Vice Commanders must be available for anyone who has trouble or issues while also enforcing and ensuring the CoC is maintained and respected. Why should we trust you to be a Commander? I believe I should be trusted to become a Vice Sovereign because I love being a part of this battalion, helping members with what they need, guiding/training new members, and teaching people how to get started in dueling. I understand that I can be a little bit immature and goof around sometimes but I fully believe and understand that there are times where you may have fun and times where professionalism must be maintained. Professionalism is something that can make or break Battalion's reputation. I believe in leniency, such as giving someone a second chance to learn and be better. I also value professionalism as such a core instrument in how a Battalion operates. I will always continue to maintain the boundary between the two and make sure others understand these principles as well. As a Vice Commander, I believe I can become a better teacher and mentor to those below me on the rankings passing down knowledge that officers or NCOs can apply themselves and use that to better themselves as a whole. I have been hosting Dueling Competitions, and other SIMS always making sure everyone has something to do, especially something fun to do. I will as Vice Sovereign uphold and maintain all the guidelines in the Command Guidelines document. For these reasons, I believe I am qualified and capable to uphold the position of Vice Sovereign. How much game time do you have on the server? Here are my Battle Metrics: https://www.battlemetrics.com/players/972392006 , I have 2 weeks on the server and I have had Royal Guard since 12/14/2020 How often can you be online? I can be active every day for at least 3 hours, I am most active at 8 am EST. Do you have any warnings? I have 1 warning for RDM.
  6. What is your IGN? My in-game name is Caps or SHG Senior Honor Guard Caps. What regiment are you applying for? I am applying for Vice Sovereign Protector/Vice Commander of the Imperial Royal Guard. Why do you want to be Commander of this branch? I want to be Vice Sovereign because I want to help progress not only myself but also the Royal Guard Battalion as a whole. I enjoy participating and interacting with all members. Personally, Royal Guard is perhaps my favorite branch I have been apart of, from the members to the way we operate, everything is such a great and memorable experience. I would like to help and work with the new Vice Sovereign Steel with whatever he may need help with to allow for the Battalion to run fluidly and without any issue. Right now, I hope to revise this Battalion to help it achieve its full potential as a branch. As a Vice Sovereign I believe that I can help create better relations with other Battalions and try to organize better joint SIMS and Ops. I seek to progress in this Battalion and that is why I look to be Vice Sovereign Protector. How much game time do you have on the server? I completely recognize my immaturities however, I fully believe and understand that there are times where you may have fun and times where seriousness must be enforced as well as upheld. I have been hosting Mini Dueling Competitions, and other SIMS always trying to making sure everyone has something to do, especially and most importantly something fun to do because it helps to keep people on their toes and making sure they are staying active and engaged in the Battalion and it's workings. I will as Vice Sovereign uphold and maintain all the guidelines in the Command Guidelines document. For these reasons, I believe I am qualified and capable to uphold the position of Vice Sovereign. How often can you be online? I can be active everyday for at least 4 hours, I am most active at 8am EST - 11am (ish, sometimes 12) EST all week. Do you have any warnings? I have 1 warning for RDM.
