Vice Sovereign Application 1. What is your IGN? (In Game Name) Lore Senior Guard Rev | Saber Guard Incarceratus 2. What Regiment are you applying for? Imperial Royal Guards 3. Why do you want to be a commander of this branch? I am looking to become a commander as i look to progress my experience and be able to bring a new experience for the server and the Royal Guards battalion with a new command member. I have also been a Vic Sov before, but unfortunately I received an injury which effected my attendance and I had to leave the server for some time. However I wish to make up for the past issue by apply for the position again and bring a new experience to the battalion that people have not seen within the battalion before. I also wish to become a commander within the battalion to sharpen my skills with the server, as I know some things are different from what I have done over the years as a leader and as a commander. This will help me understand what will need to change within the Royal Guards. I also want to become a commander to show other that I am capable of leading them and to show that they are being heard. I am also wishing to become a commander within the Royal Guard battalion to make changer's where possible. This will be done by going to every Royal Guard member and letting them speak their own mind. No form filling out as i know most people prefer speak one to one. However this does not mean i wish to remove the suggestion forms at all. I would simply like to speak one on one with each member and see what they want to changed or be improved on if I am given the chance to become a commander within the Royal Guard battalion. I also want to become a commander of the Royal Guards as I know i am more than capable of doing so. With my knowledge and experience I do believe I can make great things happen within the Royal Guard battalion. For example. I have already made a few documents as a member of the Royal Guards, I have also make sure that people under me have a voice to be heard. I also speak my mind to the current command staff with matter that need to be addressed. I also have the many years of being a leadership figure and as a commander of troopers/members. I know for a 100% that I will make a great commander within the Royal Guards with all the skills, experience and knowledge that I have. I also wish to be a commander as I believe it is time for a new face on the block, however this does not involve others apply. I believe with my time in the Royal Guards I have gained lots of information and also seen different sides to other members that have been in the position before. This will put me a step above them as I see what the command team does not see right now. This will benefit the Royal Guard battalion in so many ways. 4. How much game time do you have on the server? 8 Weeks 5. What is the Main Purpose of a commander for a branch? When you think of a commander of a branch. Most people will think of a strong willed person, but some people will also see a different side of this. However I believe a commander is to lead his guys and go above and beyond for them. Even if it means putting himself at risk. However the main purpose by default for a commander of a branch is to make sure that his or hers members of their branch is to tow the line. This will always start with the lower ranking officers. If other officers fail to perform then the NCOS will fail as well. This will also continue down to the cadets. A commander must go out of their way to make sure that the chain does not brake. This is all held together by the commander. The next purpose of a commander is a hard task/job for some. This is administration work I.e. sorting documents, training files, arranging new types of files and keeping a database updated. Most people do falter at this however I know I will not as I have had many years doing all of what is listed above. Another purpose of a commander is to hear is men/members out. If a commander or leader does not take input from his or her members, then they are not a team player. This will make people hate their commander and will lead to people rising up against them or even members leaving. 6. Why should we trust you to be a commander? : I know I can be trusted with a commander positions over the years I have lead many groups on a wide range of games. The most i have lead a group is for 17 years and I still do run part of a branch/Section/battalion. I also deal with administration work, which I know comes into play with a commander position. With that knowledge I know I can be useful and bring a lot to the table. To add onto my experience but focusing on Royal Guards. I have been in the battalion for quite sometime. And in this time I have spoken my mind, made many suggestions on how to improve the Royal Guard battalion. I do believe that some of the suggestions that have been made were also where I went out to other Royal Guard members and let them speak their voice. This I know is important to do as some people do not put suggestions forward in our suggestion form, but would rather be asked person to person. How often can you be Online? : My activity time frame depends on the day due to work. However in total per-week I will say 20-30+ hours a week. 8. Do you have any Warnings? [150+ words] A: I wish to become a Trial Senior Guard so that I can further help out Royal Guard. I have been active whenever possible, though this activity may slow down because of school and being an Australian, but still, even with Officer Quota being higher, I am still willing to try and over achieve that goal. I also would like to support the this battalion in any way, shape or form to the best of my ability to ensure the engagement and enjoyment of all members, and being a Trial Senior Guard can help me improve these things. As a Trial Senior Guard, I can show my leadership skills to Command and provide assistance to not only the Cadets, but also the NCOs from learning the rights from wrongs. The job also enables me to efficiently issue orders and communicate with VIPs during critical situations, as well as allowing me to talk to troops that are causing issues with ease. Effective communication is crucial for a strong Officer team and a fortified battalion in the long run. I am committed to giving more than one hundred percent to assist the battalion in any way possible. My eagerness to assist is the primary reason for my interest in becoming a Trial Senior Guard. Q: How could you assist Royal Guard command with this rank? [100+ words] A: My aim is to support the command team by always following their orders and organizing regular training sessions and simulations with the Royal Guard. I will strive to overachieve my monthly quota unless I am on LOA. Furthermore, I will host SOP training/quizzes for both cadets and NCOs, with a bit more focus on the NCOs to ensure they are ready for higher demanding ranks. I will also host assassination SIMs from time to time to train them in saber discipline, usage of saber, and effective hunting techniques (which is a necessary skill for becoming Saber Guard and Shadow Guard). As an officer, I will ensure that everyone follows the rules of the Royal Guard and will hand out punishments when necessary. Before promoting anyone, I will ensure that they are worthy of the rank and ready to take on higher responsibilities. This includes evaluating their ability to follow orders, level of activity, and leadership skills if they are an NCO. My goal is to maintain a healthy battalion that is capable of performing tasks unique to their skills and abilities. Q: How many strikes do you have? A: N/A Q: Do you have any prior experience in being an Officer? (If yes, explain) A: Sort of, I have never been an Officer in GMod before, but I have had heaps of experiences as an Officer in other games and have several experiences as a Commanding Officer. Q: What Qualifications could you bring too the Royal Guard Officer Team? A: As stated above, I have knowledge of being an Officer as well as knowledge on guarding formations and general guarding rules. I am also a fast learner, decent leadership skills, well known, respectful, friendly, and most importantly, tries to be fun. Do you understand that the officer corps is a serious commitment with a lot of responsibilities (Including but not limited to: handing out Promotions and Punishments, and required attendance to the weekly meeting)? What do you want to see?: One of the many things IQ and RG have pride in is their dueling capabilities. They want to boast their proficiencies in lightsaber combat and they want to have bragging rights when being the best in the art of lightsaber combat. This system will not only allow more competition within Inquistorious branches, but also allow people to acknowledge the best duelist on the server. Here is how this system will work: - Every week at a specific date and time, IQ Command will host a dueling tournament to determine the duelist of the week - The person who wins the duelist of the week tournament will hold the title of "Duelist of the Week" and they will receive a special spot on the roster and will receive 1 FREE SITH HOLOCRON from the Holocron registry system - Everyone who partakes in the dueling tournament will switch to Apprentice Job and GM will give them HP 2000 and Armor 200 -If there is already a Duelist of the week, the winner of the dueling tournament will fight the current Duelist of the week to claim the title for themselves Rules and regulations: - You have to be apart of IQ, Purge, or RG to partake in the Dueling Tournament - People can still challenge the Duelist of the Week on their own time with the following conditions: - GM must be present to set HP to 2000 and Armor to 200 - IQ VCDMR+ must witness this duel for it to be valid - Both players must be on the Apprentice job for the duel to be valid - If the Duelist of the week loses the challenge, he will lose the Duelist of the week title and it will be given to the challenger - Duelist of the week MUST accept at least 1 challenge per day to keep their title (If no one challenges the duelist of the week, this rule is voided) - After the 1 challenge, the Duelist of the week doesn't have to accept any more challenges unless the player wishes to accept more challenges - If the Duelist of the Week is on LOA/ROA, the title will be automatically stripped from the player - If the Duelist of the Week is inactive for 3 days or more, the title will be stripped - Holocrons will ONLY be given out after the dueling tournament has concluded - If the Duelist of the Week does not show up to the Dueling tournament, the player voluntarily is stripped of the Duelist of the week title and the title will go to the person who wins the Dueling tournament Why should we add it?: We should add this because it gives more incentive to IQ to improve their dueling skills in lightsaber combat. Usually, I would see lightsaber users use force reflect, lightning strike, or other force powers to fight instead of dueling Jedi. Although using force powers is a viable strategy, it weakens people's ability to conduct lightsaber combat which is one of our many skills to be proficient at in IQ. The Second reason is to add more reasons for people to join Inquistorious branches. Whenever I get on the server and it is Defcon 5, IQ doesn't really have anything to do. Sure, there may be an occasional SIM, but other than that, we either AFK in bunks or duel each other. Instead of dueling each other to appease our boredom, I want to create competition and ambition for people in IQ to strive for. I want players to want to play IQ more and having a duelist-of-the-week system will get that to happen. What are the advantages of having this?: There are a lot of advantages to having this system in place. The first advantage is to give more Holocrons to people. I have noticed that GMs don't give out that many holocrons on off-ship events because it either doesn't fit the narrative of their event or doesn't think it is important to spawning holocrons for Inquistorious. If we have the Duelist of the Week system in place, the utilization of the Holocron registry will become much more apparent and will give people more rewards for becoming better duelists. The second advantage of having this is getting bragging rights. I always love competitions and competitive spirit and believe that the Inquistorious branches will also have competitive spirits. Hypothetically, if the duelist of the week is an RG member, the RG branch will be very happy and IQ and Purge will have the incentive to practice dueling to reclaim their spot as the best dueling branch. This system will create a friendly rivalry between IQ and RG which will spark more people to join Inquistorious and create an exciting environment for people to partake in.
