i just wanna thank policerp and gaminglight. no this is not a community resignation so no partys. i first got my pc back in early april of this year and started playing gmod, i started playing on servers i didnt enjoy, then i found PoliceRP Gaminglight, and started to really enjoy myself the server was well built, well maintained and had great staff that were fair and understanding and that still has not changed now, it was my little dream to be apart of a great staff team and community. i obviously started off as an Overpowered OFC and was ready to clean the streets..... well not just me the rest of the government helping me ofcourse. i moved up throught the ranks and was finding the server very fun. i then went to staff tryouts and attempted a good shot at staff, i wasnt expecting to get in as i thought i wasnt known by the community, but i got accepted and was really happy to start my journey with a great community. i am now in many departments and part of event team and im an admin which is amazing. now your probably wondering why am i telling u this its stupid just another guy that really likes the server, no its not my love for gaming and helping others, i am writing this explaining why i love it so much. back in 2020 was a start to a good year then covid hit thats great more time to play cod on xbox, it turned out to be my worst year ever, my family split and i was left at my ex girlfrends house for 6+ months which i didnt mind i just wanted to be with family a lot more, months pass and i get terrible news, my mum one of the 2 people that have always stuck by my side through everything got attacked by two men (yes in the worst way u can think) i tried my hardest to not show how much i hurt but it would slip through. i had also stopped seeing the 2nd person most important in my life, my nan, i hadnt seen her for 3 months due to covid, then at 5am i get a phone call, u need to come say goodbye to your nan, she had a major stroke and was on her deathbed, the worst news i couldve heard. i stuck by family and said dont give up please have faith, she pulled through luckily with a 5% chance of living. a couple months pass and i start my job as a prison officer (DOC) i loved that job with all my heart it was my dream then i was called into the head of the prisons office (Governor) she said i will be put on suspension for a false accusation , i wont go into it. so i agreed and just went home while they investigated( i didnt wanna argue) on my way home i called my now ex girlfriend and she told me we are done, after 2 and a half years and we were engaged.... i was distraught so i got on my bandit 600 big boy bike and rode that for a little while (i wasnt meant to be riding that) i was riding to have freedom and to be able to clear my head of dark dark thoughts. i then got chased and arrested and my life fell apart i didnt wanna be here no more and had no reason to. i didnt listen to my family either this is then when i had got my pc and started to play PoliceRP so thats why i wanna say a massive thankyou to everyone i have ever met and had the chance to roleplay and have laughs with u guys are the ones who have pulled me outta my very dark place and kept me going from day to day making me believe in myself again.
i know this is very dyslexic so please bare with me on that and yes its sad and soppy and maybe even funny to some people that a GAME has pulled me through some dark times but remember everyone deals with stuff in different ways u just gotta find that way to help yourself thankyou for taking the time out your day to read this it really does mean a lot to me
