  1. --- Accepted --- (1/1/2021) Get Officer Trained by Azir and Deaky.
  2. +/- Support - Good Idea, But I'm not sure how easy that would be to implement. I'm not sure if the addon used for levels and the addon used for crates can mix or not. Or if you can just give someone XP. One way It could be done is if there is a command to give XP have the crate be opened and when that crate gets opened the command is played onto the player giving the player a certain amount of XP. However im not sure how open the crate creating system is.
  3. Ptob’s Starfighter Marshall Application (If you thought my VM app was long wait to read this one) Questions: What Is Your IGN? - Vice Marshall Ptob What Regiment Are You Applying For? - Imperial Starfighter Corps Why Do You Want To Be Commander Of This Battalion? - I want to be commander of this battalion because over the days, weeks, and months I have been in SF since Blunt’s to Frank’s and to Sully’s command I have tried to make SF a better battalion through and with the help of the command members. Over my time as a starfighter I’ve met a lot of people and made friends with a lot of them. People like Azir, Deaky, Rosa, Soph, Sully, and many others have made me want to make SF a better place for others to join and make friends through. While we are a semi-serious RP server we are still a community of people and a social hub for the unsocial. I've made friends with people I never thought I would make friends with and shared things I didn't think I’d ever be comfortable to share with people over the internet. I want to be commander because I want people to have a place for people to be friends and to chill with others. I was brought into SF by Magic, and from then I’ve brought in a decent size group of people, some of those people have left but others have stayed making friends with others and expanding the community. How Much Game Time Do You Have On The Server? - In Game Counter: 3 Weeks (Just got the One Month Award) - Joined GL: August 22nd 2020 (126 Days) - Joined SF: 9/23/2020 (94 Days) What Is The Main Purpose Of A Commander For A Branch? - I’ve written my Vice Marshall app before and I don't want to sound like a parrot just saying the same thing I said in there however I still believe in what I said minus the Vice Marshall specific parts. As I said in my previous application to be a commander isn't to be strict all the time with your battalion all the time, unless your DT or IF, being command shouldn't be just bossing around people, I’ve seen first hand what bossing around and just ordering people can do to a person and a battalion in whole and in reality ruling with an iron fist isn't a good thing all the time. Sometimes in life, being in charge you need to be able to make connections with people, Not just making connections with your officers or other command members but the enlisted, the NCOs, other battalions. Being in command you should be making connections and bridging together people to make the ship a unified entity where everyone can work together to make things run smoothly but also in a fun manner. Being lite on your troopers is a good thing, while it may look like you are letting them off easy in reality you are giving them a second chance to improve on their ways even if others don't see it that way. Take STs for example, as everyone knows there is some bias to the STs on the server and some of that bias is truthful in occasions of raids or regular minging, But never forget that there is always a diamond in the rough. One of those STs that may be a bit mingey at first may actually turn into one of your best NCO, Officer, or even command in the future. As command right now I know a few people who like to minge, but instead of kicking them I try to steer them in the right direction. However, While a lite approach to situations can be a good thing, too much of it can turn into something bad and at points you will need to have a more solid demeanor. At points in time people will go over the line, they will get a second chance too many times and to preserve the nature, peace, and efficiency of a battalion or ship you cannot be soft on them. When someone minges too much or when they crash into bridge you need to strike them, you need to teach them that some fun is ok but you also need to still follow the rules and regulations. I know this has been going a bit long but hold on. As a commander your job isn't to be one or the other forever it's to be able to switch between these when the time is appropriate, You need to have a soft approach when someone makes a mistake but needs to learn from it, but you also need to be able to switch to a hard approach when someone has crossed the line, disrespecting both the players, command, and server in whole. As a command you have to make connections to the players of the servers, hosting sims between battalions, helping other battalions with duties they may need during events, Helping battalions and engaging in passive RP with other battalions. In the end the job of being in command boils down to a few simple things, Making connections between players and battalions, Being able to rule fairly and decide in tough situations, and making situations into something others can learn from to help improve themselves and their battalion. Why Should We Trust You To Be A Commander? - I'm going to go over a list of reasons and achievements I have in order for the readers of this app to understand why I should be trusted with command, As well as answering some of the rebuttals that may come up in the comments below. Firstly, I have been in SF for the long run, going through 3-ish commands, if you count Frank as CAO and only command as a command. I have been in SF for 94 days becoming an NCO in around 16 days under Blunt’s command, after that I got to Officer in about a month after that. I was an officer for a total of 25 days, in the middle of that time I applied for Vice Marshall being accepted 8 days later during our large promotion ceremony on the 28th of november. From that point I have been marshall for almost a month, tomorrow being the anniversary of when I got accepted as the Vice Marshall of the Starfighter Corps. As an officer and carrying onto my role as Vice Marshall Me and Sully created the SF Sentry’s, This was a ground division of SF that I was going to lead if not given Vice Marshall, As the lead prior to the division being accepted I created and spruced up both the SOP and the tryout document to have the subdivision ready if it were to be accepted by Hotshot and HC which in the end it did. Going off of that when I became Vice Marshall I was tasked with overseeing all of the subdivisions, As the overseer I encouraged tryouts and helped to get the Sentry Cores off the ground when it was initiated by Classy and Hotshot, as well as helping the Cobra Squadron and Onyx Squadron. As an Officer I was in charge of our tryout system, getting more people active and making changes to our tryout guide when needed, When I became VM I entrusted those jobs (Sentry Lead and Head Training Officers) to the people I trusted most (Azir and Soph) to carry on the tasks needed to be done while still under my supervision if intervention was needed. As an Officer and Command I created a few more documents that we’re needed for SF. As the HTO I created a training document for learning how to fly our transport ships (DX9 and VTOL) so that our SF can be as efficient as possible to achieve our greatest potential, as VM I created a new Officer SOP, I created this because seeing we aren't army we can't use the Army Officer SOP, also due to SF having a few different rules for Defcons, Evacuations, Promotion Limits, and Striking. This document helps officers so instead of directing questions to others and having to wait for responses they can access this document and find the answers they need in the matter of a few seconds. With the help of Sully we have made the battalion super active and bringing in new members every day, Whenever a problem has arisen me, Sully, and Soph have worked as a team to get it fixed as soon as possible so as to not affect SF too harshly. I tried to get more stuff added for SF so that our players can have something to look forward to when they log on, things like the TIE Bomber (Which got denied) and the Sentry Subdivision which I’ve already talked about a bit here. As a command member I try to fill out my expectations as much as is expected, doing roster updates, staying active, and bringing more TRNs into the battalion. I’ve also along with the help of the Aviation Officers, Naval HC, and Other SF have tried making more connections between SF and Naval, helping Aviation Officers be more in touch with our SF and helping them with SIMs, as well as with Sully’s Idea letting AOs oversee our subdivisions allowing them to be more active and have things to do with SF more than just managing them. I know a few people or maybe a majority of people in the chat will have a few things to say about me. One of the things I wanna jump in front of is the fact that I’ve only been in command for a month and that this is my first command role. While this is true and in fact I have a lot to learn in order to be the most effective, I feel that what I have done as VM under Sully has prepared me well for the role of Marshall. My tasks and ability to fulfill my duties as VM I think help to show that I am ready to become Marshall after Sully. With the help of the other command, AOs, Naval HC. and general SF I feel that I can make an excellent Marshall. I have tried my hardest as a VM to make sure that everyone who can know me knows me and knows me in a good manner, Talking to other command and possibly future command to make sure that as a command member I am in good standing with most of other command so that our battalions can have a positive relation. I feel the fact that I have written this much and put this much effort shows how much I care for SF and how much this Marshall position means to me so I can make SF better. Summary (For People Who Don't Want To Read My Essay): Brought new updates into SF such as the Sentry. Made Connections with other command members to ensure good relations. Helped to make connections between our AOs and our SF. Supported Sully as VM. Learned from Sully. Completed my Duties with Roster Update and being active. Helped to host SIMs for SF. Made new documents and edited old ones (Flight Cert, Officer SOP, SOP, Tryout Guide, Sentry SOP, Sentry Tryout Guide.) Entrusted people with leadership positions. Been in SF for over 3 months. Encouraged Tryouts. How Often Can You Be Online? - Pretty often, Due to my school being all online there is not much I can do due to Covid. So at the current moment I have a lot of time on my hands. Alike to others I am also on christmas break currently, I usually wake up around 8 AM CST and get on around 10, Due to break and family issues I've been taking a bit of a break but that was a short thing that doesn't affect my time at the moment. Do You Have Any Warnings? - No, Almost got one for killing a purge who was shooting at a TIE from the bottom of the map but due to myself not using Medal at the time there was no evidence to support my side and the purge claimed to be signaling the SF to pick him up, In the end I only got a verbal warning for Tmod Quicky. Contact: Ptob#6442
  4. + Support - Dedicated to DT - Serious in his current role - Always on leading his other DT.
  5. We recently have had the "Starfighter Sentry" job added to the list of SF jobs and subdivisions. On the server currently the SF Command (Marshall and Vice Marshalls) have no ability to take or give that whitelist away. The main issue however is that no matter if you just joined the server or if your in SF, you can access the job like its a job avaliable to everyone. I see this as a major problem as people could easily act as SF, as well as spawn in TIE interceptors. Main Issue: Anyone can get on "Starfighter Sentry", SF Command cannot remove or take whitelist for job.
  6. + Support - The longer the crates are on the ground the more entities spawned in on the server and animations, so having a lower despawn time may help with overall lag on the server, especially when people are opening crates during events when their not supposed to.
  7. -/+ Support - You mean like the levels we use for skill points and stuff? - I mean I guess it's an okay idea, but I'm not sure its possible and I'm not sure who would want to give levels unless they were leaving the server - It doesn't really affect me or a lot of people negatively or positively I think, so I could go either way on this in honesty.
  8. From what I've seen and heard from my SF, GMs, and Other Staff, The TIEs have been made obsolete either by an intentional update or a bug in a update. The TIEs cannot do any damage to LFS ships anymore making SFs role and one of it's main attributes disappear over a single update. I'm wondering if this would be able to be fixed so the TIEs can shoot other LFS ships and take part in events as they are meant to be. Issue: TIEs don't do damage to other LFS ships.
  9. Accepted, Talk to me or Sully when you're online.
  10. @mikeytheman Its already been dealt with.
  11. - Support - The tryouts that battalions do are created by the command of that battalion not by staff, these suggestions are mainly for the staff and HC to add stuff to battalions and the game.
  12. - Support - No Format - even if it were possible to make an entire droid battalion the type of droids would have no connection to each other besides the fact that they are droids. If anything you would want just droids added to certain battalions, like K2 in Shock, Probe Droids in ST, R3s in Naval, Magmas in RG, Pit Droids in SF, WEDs in 31st, etc. - If you truly believe in this Idea don’t be so vague with your ideas, give examples of how this can decrease minging, how does this give droids something to do during PDBs, what would the rank system look like if they were their own battalion. - if you want an suggestion to truly be taken seriously you have to put more effort into it and give it some thought before posting.
  13. Dont Comment On Post, Applications For CSVL were not approved by Soph, and the Vice Lead is chosen by Soph in anyway she chooses.
  14. - Support - Dealing with ST riots is not destroying a crowd of STs with a few shots from a gun.
  15. + Support - Active all the time - Took lead of a Squadron and helps with trainings. - Responsible - Respected within SF and other battalions
  16. +Support - It can be loud especially when people are trying to talk. - Possibly also shorten the animation or how long it takes crates to disappear so it doesn't lag the server too much.
  17. + Support - Not really hard to change
  18. In-game name: Ptob SteamID: STEAM_0:1:62227057 Current RP rank on StarWarsRP: SF GC (Maj) Have you donated to the server?: Yes, Darth + Tact Have you been banned on any GL server before?: No Have you received any warnings (please give reasons if applicable)?: No How much time do you have on the server?: 2 Weeks How well do you know the LORE? Explain: I know the Lore pretty well, I've watched the movies, the shows, and some books. Why do you WANT to become a Gamemaster?: As a SF officer I want to give my SF more stuff to do during events and be able to do sims for my SF. I've also had some ideas for events that I would like to try out. Also when I'm on late and there's not a lot of GMs on I want to be able to host an event for the people who are on late at night and are bored just running around. Why should you be trusted to be a Game Master?: I'm second in command in SF, I have zero strikes, warns, and bans. I have 2 weeks on the server and have put in a lot of work in SF. I'm trusted by my SF to have responsibility and to lead them. Are you familiar/experiences with ULX?: Somewhat, I'm familiar with commands like !goto, !bring, !god, etc. But I haven't used them in a while. Are you experienced with being a Game Master and how they function?: I'm somewhat aware of how they function but I do not have experience being one. Give a brief example of an on-ship event, as well as an example of an off-ship event: On-Ship: A squadron of fighters with a troop transport is trying to hijack the ISD, Protect the bridge and engine core to make sure the rebels cannot hijack the ship. Around 5 or 6 event actors to be the rebels, AI Fighters and possibly one player pilot to keep SF occupied and to deliver the rebels into MHB. The Pilot would be focused on taking down SF and the shield generators on the top of the ISD. The ground troops would be trying to push through the ship trying to take the bridge of the ship and barricade themselves in the bridge while calling for reinforcements, which if rolled properly would allow me to bring cruisers into the airspace where drop pods would be sent into the ship for reinforcements. The Rebels would then fail in their attempt to hijack the ISD and call for evac (if they're not already dead), and the player who was the pilot would come in a new ship to pick them up in moonpool. Off-Ship: This would be a Hoth event, An ISB would come to the ship saying that a small rebellion has risen on the planet from a group of citizens. The troopers would be brought down from the ISD and be placed on the planet and tasked with finding the rebels. There would be around 5 player citizens there, 3 out of 5 would be rebels and the other 2 would just be neutral citizens. The troopers would be tasked with finding which are the rebels and when they find at least 2 of them the rebel alliance would appear in space to help them, sending pods down to the planet and fighters in the airspace to attack SF. The Troopers would defend the planet from the rebels while the SF clears the airspace so that the other imperial ships can evacuate. Do you know how to give a weapon/SWEP to yourself/someone? (Give an example): !give Ptob rw_sw_rps4 Do you know how to model yourself/someone? (Give an example): !model Ptob models/Player/SGG/Starwars/battledroid.mdl Have you read the Gamemaster Guidelines?: Yes
  19. 1. What is your IGN? (In Game Name) : SF GC CSO HTO Ptob 2301 GC - Major Army Rank Equivalent 2. What Regiment are you applying for? Starfighter Corps Vice Marshall 3. Why do you want to be a commander of this branch? I want to be the Vice Marshall of SF because I have been in SF for about 2 months already and I’m really dedicated to it. Starting on 9/23/2020 I was brought into SF by Magic, From there I rose through the ranks making NCO on 10/05/2020 under Blunts leadership. While an NCO I made a lot of friends in SF, people who you meet and want to keep talking to even if you all stop playing the same game, people who you don't just play with and say see you later. I want to be a Vice Marshall of SF because I want to be able to continue those friendships and pave the way for others in SF to form those connections and be a part of this group of people. I also want to lead SF and make it even better than it is currently, creating changes to our PTS, helping to keep our tryouts at a good number everyday, and establish new squadrons and edit our squadrons to make them more active and more prevalent in SF. 4. How much game time do you have on the server? Two Weeks, Joined GamingLight 8/22/2020 5. What is the Main Purpose of a commander for a branch? The main purpose of the Vice Marshall is both to help the Marshall as well as lead. Leading the enlisted is a broad idea and every command has a different idea of how that should be done. Leading the enlisted doesn't just mean to bark orders at them and expect them to do it, The purpose of leading is to form connections with all of your members to both create relationships as well as establish trust with everyone. That however doesn't mean you don't have to be strict at times, Sometimes as a commander you need to tell your officers, NCOs, and Enlisted what's what, and at points you will have to make enemies with people you didn't want to make enemies with for the best of your battalion. The purpose of the commander is to be a mediator between the battalions and the people inside of battalions, setting up sims between battalions with other commanders or enlisted, settling disputes between 2 battalions or 2 members of SF, as well as every day problem solving for the battalion. Being a commander means making hard choices, sometimes you have to do what the majority of the battalion is asking for while at other times you need to decide what is best for everyone, even if your members don't entirely agree. 6. Why should we trust you to be a commander? : I feel that I should be trusted with a command spot because, I have been with SF for about 2 months at this point (9/23/2020), making NCO in around 16 days (10/05/2020), and then making officer in around a month (11/03/2020). From there I have been an officer for 17 days. As a NCO I hosted an abundant amount of tryouts helping to bring new enlisted into SF. As an officer my responsibilities were large as we only have around 3 officers in total and I'm the highest ranking on. Officers are a trusted position that means you need to be prepared to lead and direct people, and to be one of three helps to show my responsibility and leadership. As an Officer I was made the Head Training Officer (HTO), as the head training officer I have edited our Tryout Guide making it more understandable for our NCOs, creating new questions off of our SOP and clarifying things that in earlier editions were mildly confusing. As the HTO I also wanted to make sure the people using the tryout guide the most (NCOs) had a voice in it, so I created a suggestion form for those NCOs who felt that things should be added, removed, or just changed. Along with those things, I also helped to get all of our NCOs tryout certified, making sure they both knew how to host tryouts, and later as tryout supervisors how to help lower NCOs and High Enlisted in hosting tryouts. As the HTO I also strived to keep track of who was doing what with a personal roster to keep track of my AHTO, Supervisors, Training Officers, and Officers in Training (as well as their amount of tryouts completed / watched). I helped to create a brand new tryout guide for our transportation certification which we never had and needed somewhat badly to have a uniform DX9 and VTOL certification process. For our squadrons I was a officer in one of our squadrons helping out our lead, Later I both helped to create a new subdivision, helping to create both the SOP and Tryout Guidelines for the subdivision, and led it, testing out of tryouts on SF, and assigning someone to be a assistant lead if I'm no longer able to lead it. I am trusted by all of the members of SF to lead them, as well as trusted by our current Vice Marshall Sully. 7. How often can you be Online? : I’m usually on about everyday, using getting on around 4 CST and getting off around 8-12, On weekends I usually work 4-8 but I’m on before I start, Now with my school going all online I can spend more time on SF, getting on around 8am and getting off around 10-ish PM depending on what I need to get finished. 8. Do you have any Warnings? (What for?) : No, Closest to a warning I got was a verbal warning from T-Mod Quicky a good month ago, because of a purge who I killed thinking he was trying to shoot down TIEs while he was at the bottom of the map.
  20. - As a TP you are already one rank away from NCO, Our NCO applications are more made to fast track enlisted to NCO, unlike the officer application which is to choose which NCOs can be officers, You just need to wait the 3 day promotion cooldown and then an officer or command can decide if your fit for NCO.
  21. +/- Support + Support Section - Active - Does tryouts - Friendly or Serious at points - Support a lot of SFs suggestions and tries to get others on - We could do with some better PTS - Support Section - Taking lead is good, but when you do it you are sometimes usurping the officers on who are trying to take command. - Being too serious and in turn too strict can lead to people not wanting to join SF, While some implements of seriousness are needed, SF is doing well because we are unlike other branches that strive on being serious (DT, IF, Purge, Naval, etc.), We are a unique branch - The In Character and Out of Character thing would cause too much chaos, We can easily move TRNs into the ICC, Changing the channels every time we have a event is tedious and people will easily forget it. +/- Support Section - Recently promoted to the Onyx Squad Captain, If anything I would like to see how you do as the captain of the squad, How much you do for your squad, How popular the squad becomes in the battalion, Controlling 9 people is a lot easier than controlling an entire group of Enlisted and NCOs, plus other responsibilities. - Thinking what is best for yourself can be a good thing sometimes, sometimes you need to say what's what, However you also need to be able to see what is best for the battalion, Doing so can give you a fair look at everything, Even if its not what the enlisted may want, ask the NCOs. As an Officer you need to follow the idea of putting the needs of many before your self. I’m not sure if I saw what was best for everyone in this application. - Forcing tryouts on NCOs all the time can easily cause them to get burnt out and as a result tryouts come to a complete halt, Letting NCOs do them as they please allows them to feel less stressed as to if they are doing something correct / enough. Talking to Destiny she was stressed about tryouts because of TRNs just being minges. I have seen battalions force daily tryout quotas on the NCOs before and that didn't work out well, A good idea would be to make a competition out of it seeing who can get the most and at the end they get a prize or something along that line. While possibly saying 4 tryouts a day could help, forcing it fully on the NCOs can easily cause burn out, It could also be a stepping stone to more harsh / strict tryout quota. - From what I’ve seen the crashing into each other only happens when we have a large number of SF on. This is less due to our battle spacing / flight experience, but instead the number of SF on and the limited space outside of the ISD. Additional Comments - If you could possibly be more active with the enlisted, aka hosting some small sims or doing some flight certification that could help your chances - It’s good that you are so interested in SF, but being too strict can lead to people such as the enlisted not liking you entirely which can lead to insubordination, while being strict at points is needed, you should still hold a connection with lower ranks.
  22. + Support - Seems dedicated to both SF and Naval - Well written app, with a decent length - Knows what his job entails for AO - In good standings with SF - Mature - Active
