Why would you like to be a member of the Support Team? (150 word minimum)?

The main reason I would like to join the Support team is because I would like to help do more for the community, I want to be able help keep the community safe and I want the Support server to be a place where people can go to hangout and play on there servers without having to worry about people not following rules and so they can feel like they have a safe space to play their games. I am very active in TS and the discord. I wish to be there when people need help with support. I do understand that the Support team is a tight-knit team of people who are active a good part of the time, I think I fit that description pretty well. I also think my prior experiences have a big part to play as well - I was a previous EA (senior admin equivalent) on CityRP and a Senior Moderator on MRP as well as an Admin staff rank on CWRP for different communities. I think that being an EA has provided me with experiences of being well adapted to work with people and provide them with the proper support. 

 

I also want to join the support team because of three reasons 

 

Communication

In real life, through just playing Gmod and being a staff member of many different communities, my communication has improved very well and I think that communication is very crucial in a position like this. In real life, I work in customer services so I talk with people everyday and whether people are being complete assholes and annoying, I always treat them as I would someone being nice. I love talking with new people and getting to know them.

 

Activity

I'm extremely active on TeamSpeak and on Garry's Mod. I try to talk to as many people as I can. I strive to be more and more active each week. I push near the 100-200 hours a week whether I'm doing things with staff or just generally playing on servers. I think that with my activity I would be a great candidate for a support member because I would love to help answer people's questions and other concerns people might have. In addition, I already do a lot with TS and discord in terms of answering their questions. I am very familiar with TS and Discord as an application as I use it all the time.

 

Experience

I think that my experience is what really is the big thing in this application. I was a previous EA on CityRP, during that time I learned a lot about myself and the rules and other things like how to be unbiased, how to work under pressure and stress. I also learned how to become a good leader because there were Trial Moderator+ that looked up to me and other EA's so I set a good example for myself everyday. I'm not sure if the support has any sort of quota to hit, but during my time as staff I try to go above and beyond to hit my quota and most of the time go over it. As aforementioned, I also work in Customer Service as a job, making me experienced and fit for this position.

 

How would you greet someone that has a problem in one of our tickets, or support channels?

I would say "Hello, This is Omzig with the Gaminglight support team how may I help you today?"
