SCP-173 HPT#1 (Humor Processing Test) [JR Eyem Gae]

Lore Name: Eyem Gae

Rank: Junior Researcher

SCP: 173

Question / Idea: Does SCP 173 have a sense of humor? If so, what is the range of it? Is this SCP even capable of understanding comedy? How will it react? This is a test to check both the understanding and range of SCP 173's cognitive ability to understand and appreciate the form of entertainment we call "comedy." I intend to bring three class-D participants with different comedic styles to test the reaction of SCP 173. Comedy styles will be jokes, puns and a short skit.

Background Research: SCP 173 is only dangerous if you are alone, and no records of his humor were found.

Hypothesis: I theorize that SCP 173 will chuckle during the test, even while unable to move.

Observations (What Happened During Test): (Add as much detail as you can to this part, remember Quality over Quantity)
During test, SCP 173 remained almost entirely motionless. Little to no reaction was given from the SCP for each "joke" or pun. The d-class started initially with some random humor, eventually moving into peanut-based puns and jokes, which the SCP did not respond much to. The largest measured response was when one D-class inmate asked "Do nuts nut?" to which SCP-173 ecstatically jumped two times. I am not sure that this SCP has the ability to understand or properly process the form of entertainment that we call "comedy" or "humor."

Evidence/Visual Stimuli (N/A if unable/none): (Pictures of the test)

Analysis / Conclusion (What Could Of Caused The Results): (What caused the results that happened during the test)
A large reason for the outcome of these results seems to be a lack of cognitive understanding on  behalf of SCP 173, which could potentially be due to SCP 173 not having an understanding of current society, or may be due to it's time spent alone. More tests must be run in order to check whether this test on it's own was unexpected, or if a trend occurs.

Was Your Hypothesis Correct?: (Was your Hypothesis correct on the test)
My hypothesis was nearly correct. The SCP did have only a very slight reaction.

Well done on the writing, I saw no big spelling mistakes. I do feel like this test was a bit strange, seeing as SCP-173 cannot move while looked at, yet according to your test he jumped twice after hearing a pun/joke? Seems a bit strange lore wise. I do think the idea was creative, especially for a junior researcher. I look forward to seeing your next documents!

PS: Next time, perhaps consider making your document in Google Docs or some other program? It can make your document look miles better and it is arguably easier to do as well (you can write up ideas for the test beforehand for example)

Score: A

Grade: Quality

Lore: 17/20

In multiple tests, 173 has showed to be sapient. Not capable of speech, but still thinking. However, 173 cannot move while looked at regardless of circumstance.

Creativity: 20/20

Most people wouldn't think to try to make a stone peanut monster laugh.

Presentation: 15/20

You could have messed with formatting more and given it more "pizazz"

Writing: 40/40

See nothing wrong here.
