Improved auto-wanted system - Denied

What you want to see? - Have the auto-wanted system be based on the government member’s proximity to another government member. (i.e: Officer A is shot. If any other officers are within a certain distance, say 150 meters, make the person who shot Officer A wanted. Otherwise, do not auto-want the player who shot him.)

Why should we add it? - It’s extremely unrealistic to shoot and kill an officer dead in the middle of nowhere and then be wanted for it. It breaks immersion and is also extremely annoying for criminal players, specifically murderers. I know the system isn’t perfect as it doesn’t take in account line of sight, but as someone with a background in computer science, I can say this is a very low complexity solution that would have a minimal performance impact (it’s just iteration, a distance formula, and an if statement). Calculations could even be run client side, which would have an even lesser impact on server performance. Code that takes in account line of sight would be a lot more performance-heavy, so this is a good middle ground between performance and realism and is a lot better than what we currently have. 

What are the advantages of having this? - Increased immersion, realism, and quality of life for criminals.

Who is it mainly for? - Criminals, especially Murderers.

It gets annoying after killing a cop lets say in the mountains, then i'm wanted and get ambushed by 10 Tac units

They Should also make it where, you cant see if that person is wanted from 500 Meters away

Denied. The SMT team for this server has decided against adding this suggestion for performance reasons, the benefit to the server, or another unstated reason

 

We feel the current system in place fits the current RP for the server. This server is a semi-serious RP server and believe this would fit better on a more serious RP server.
