Reason for Ban: '40 warns - request accepted'

Dispute summary:

1. I have no dispute to raise, only an apology after long time of reflection

2. I seek permission to appeal

Dispute in depth:

1. Background

I was banned from the Police RP server 2 years and 1 month ago on March 22 2022 following 40 warns that accumulated over the course of 2 years since 2020. (to the best of my knowledge since this was the year of reference for me when I was in school) The warns were for a series of errors I could have prevented if I was more mature, attentive and careful. While I cannot recall everything, I do remember that a significant amount of the time, the admins were nice enough to let me off because my infractions were not serious, and I was well meaning and not disingenuous. A good example of this was back when I used to get on the server with a mate of mine I used to play with, and whenever he would get pulled over by the police in the game, I'd stop to help and help him out in gunfights in-game which I used to honestly enjoy. We never went through the proper process of creating a clan or family that would associate us and thus that attracted complaints to the admins. I took a purposive view back then, which was that the rule was meant to prevent random shootouts and thus RDMs, but trusted the admin would see we were friends and knew each other online and offline and thus, not formalizing the clan or association or family was excusable as a mere formality. Not all infractions were of these facts of course, but the majority were, and the one that resulted in my permanent ban was too. When I was banned, the admin did tell me that while he regretted this would lead to a permanent ban, it had to be so because there was no way to 'wipe' the record no matter how dated the record was. I remember a conversation to this effect.

2. Reflection and Apology

I admit fully that I made mistakes and this is thus a request seeking permission to appeal or a chance to rejoin a community I not only enjoyed nights online on, but made friends through and engaged with my present friends on. I want to say that regardless of how long has passed in time, and how my errors have probably been forgotten, that I am sorry for breaking the rules that make this community a particularly enjoyable one, and one that is thus missed deeply. It has value to me and thus even though it has been 2 years and I have since graduated from school, I seek your permission to appeal as a person who in my own view has grown to see how regrettable, preventable and in many ways embarrassing my past errors have been. I am fully prepared to accept a probationary period if you decide I am worth giving a second chance to.

3. Seeking Permission to Appeal

I seek permission to appeal the permanent ban and will not further try to appeal if this appeal is upheld. This is the first time in two years I've made any sort of contact with the server. If however, it my appeal is allowed, and my ban overturned, I am fully prepared to accept a probationary period, because part of the point of this is for me to hopefully regain your trust. A lot has happened in my personal life over the course of the past 2 years outside of my professional and study life that has helped me mature, from facing personal losses and undertaking care responsibilities to actually entering the working world. I wish to clarify that I am only sharing this in brevity in a spirit of openness to evidence hopefully why I feel I have changed and matured, and not to gain any sort of unobjective sympathy. If I am to be allowed to rejoin this community that I miss, I want it to be earned. For the reasons outlined above, I feel I am best positioned to rejoin the community as an active and constructive person rather than a destructive or disruptive person that my actions of the past resemble.

Thank you for taking your time to consider my appeal. I will be grateful and would benefit from your thoughts, whether they are in favor of my appeal or against.

Take care and I hope to hear from you soon
Charles (my real first name)
