  1. Ion Davis — Community Resignation I have been apart of this community for over a year now. I was staff twice first reaching MODERATOR and my second term now reaching ADMIN. In this time, I have also been apart of many different departments and tried to experience the PoliceRP server to its fullest. DEPARTMENTS PARTICIPATED IN (First to Last): Police Department, Captain (Low Command) United States Marshals Service, Deputy Marshal (Executive High Command) Special Weapons And Tactics, Commander (Department Head) State Police Department, Trooper First Class (Enlisted) Critical Emergency Response Team, Specialist (Enlisted) Secret Service, Uniformed Division Officer (Enlisted) Federal Bureau Of Investigation, Deputy Chief Of Staff (High Command) Hostage Rescue Team, Sergeant (Supervisor) MENTIONS -- YOU'RE ALL AMAZING PEOPLE (In No Particular Order) @DuckeyWizard: You are one of the most amazing people on this server. I have known you since my first week playing on this server, when I was trying out for PD Low Command my first time you gave me many times on how I could ensure my acceptance. You showed me the true meaning of team work and absolute excellence. Thank you for helping show me the balance between empathy and order. (Current: Commissioner | Ex. SWAT Commander) @Chip&Dail: You were the most recent SWAT Commander I served under and was a man of true dedication. You were not someone who was bold because you didn't care what happened to you, you were bold because you were strong and overly dedicated. You were constantly five steps ahead of any opposition and were willing to take action against all odds. Truly, you were an amazing SWAT Commander and one I hoped to live up to. (Ex. SWAT Commander) @Azrael_ You were truly an inspiration for me. You were the first SWAT Commander I was to ever serve under. You were a man of action, dedication, but also not taking the game too seriously. You knew the balance between fun and order. That is something you had mastered and I never could. You were the lead of Peacemakers and made it something so much more than a specialty. I have patches and real life purchases revolving around my Peacemaker character. Thank you.. I don't know how else to express it. (Ex. SWAT Commander) @RTMM You have worked so hard to get to where you are, and I hope you don't stop. I am hoping you are bestowed with the rank of Commander one day soon and that you lead SWAT as I know you will. (Current SWAT Co-Commander) @Jim Pickett You are a great guy and you have exceeded all expectations within FBI. I watched you from Probationary Agent to Deputy Director and I can confidently say that you deserve that position over anyone else. Keep working hard and I hope you get JMT one day. (Current FBI Deputy Director | SWAT Master Sergeant) @Leaky Knowing you from SENIOR ADMIN to HEAD OF STAFF I can say, you have not changed one bit. Which is awesome because a lot of people let power get to their head; however, you showed that you are capable of handling very high leveled positions while still being a man of helpfulness and ABSOLUTE COMEDY! Thank you for allowing me back into the Staff team and letting me get to the rank of ADMIN. (Current Head Of Staff | Ex. SWAT Team Leader) (For Contact: NEW DISCORD -- fo86W) 1K-86, Out Of Service.

  17. From handling this already on a department level, I can say that how most of them acted was immature and irresponsible. It is absolutely unacceptable how some of them acted. As far as RTMM goes, he was trying to organize a photo for SWAT, and was giving orders for people to sit in certain places. I get that all the seats were full, and CeCe couldn't sit, but instead of communicating that and just hopping off was an issue. It wasn't disrespect, it was being a command member doing their job. Now, Craft & Cole. They have already been sternly spoken to and warned verbally in SWAT for this offense. SWAT as a whole does not condone this type of behavior from anyone Cadet to Co-Commander. After the conversation, I can tell that it was just apart of their humor, but unacceptable none the less.
  18. Rest In Piece, Russtime.
  19. In-Game Name: Ion Davis Steam Name: [GL] 1K-86 SteamID: STEAM_0:0:450610550 What is your discord username? 1k86 What is your staff rank in GamingLight? Senior-Moderator How often are you on TeamSpeak? 6-8 hours a day. How often do you use Discord? Very often. Notifications are always on. Why would you like to be a member of the Support Team? (150 word minimum)? I would like to become a member of the support team for many reasons. I love to help people with problems and find solutions. I am very knowledgeable when it comes to Garry's Mod bugs, Discord Issues, Teamspeak issues, and so forth. By becoming a member of support, I will be able to bring a charismatic personality to any and all situations which occur. In tough and stressful situations, I am able to remain calm and keep a clear head to most effectively handle the problem in a hasteful manner. These are just a few reasons I believe I would be a great fit for support. I am hoping to do more to help Gaminglight and the community as a whole. Ever since I joined GL in early 2023, I have had a deep interest in the servers, players, and so much more. I hope to be able to assist many people in all kinds of scenarios. Why should we trust you to become a member of the Support Team? I am a very reliable member of Gaminglight and the staff team. I have been able to surpass the sit's required every week, I am very active and respectful, and I have been trusted already with many confidential information by being a member of Executive High Command within the PoliceRP server. In all the scenarios, I have remained silent, effectively safeguarding all information which is confidential. How would you greet someone that has a problem in one of our tickets, or support channels? I would first join the channel to introduce myself, "Hello! My name is Ion Davis, how may I assist you today?" If the matter is a question, I will give them an answer to their question with the best of my abilities. If the matter was a more indepth issue with either Teamspeak, Discord, or Garry's Mod, I would politely ask them to give me as much information about the issue as possible, and work together to resolve the issue. It may be as simple as their model quality is too low, or they may have to validate their GMOD files. Either way, I would work with them and give them the steps to completing each of these objectives.
  20. First Situation: A sit was made for a "false warrant", but the person warranted was an on-duty SRT Master Sergeant. To my knowledge, there was illegal items in the SRT Member's base that he could not destroy (ex. illegal miners). To destroy these items, the other government members needed a warrant to get into the doors. I forgot the exact reason the warrant was made, but I do remember consulting with the person who made it, and they said their reason was to remove the illegal items from the S.R.T.'s base. Situation #2: A sit was made for "Stuck", this is a sit we all come across often. Per normal protocol, I arrive cloaked and ask the person who made the sit, "Hi, may I have buddies?" and while he was giving me buddies, this person peaks over the edge and starts laying down fire onto the person in the sit and others. After thoroughly checking logs for about 10 minutes or so, the ONLY combat instigation I could find is from him shooting the government just then. I didn't really see [OOC] for the sole reason of me scrolling through logs looking for any signs of combat between Government and him. Any evidence other than what he was saying is absent. One person in [OOC] is saying the Government shot, the other member of Government is saying he didn't. There was zero proof of anything other than what I had initially witnessed. Situation #3: Regarding the "constantly watching you" comment, staff Senior-Admin and above are the ONLY people who are able to use no-clip and cloak off job. I had no way other than practically zooming in on you with a sniper. But anyways, the sit was made for "NLR - New Life Rule". The person returned to car dealer to retrieve a car after death. However, there is a few things which come into play in this situation. First of all, I take the sit and put him on a roof. Although it's not shown in the clip, I asked him many times "Hello, how can I help you?" and "Tell me what happened?" to which he did not reply. Once he began talking he had already sent me the clip so to allow him to get back to whatever he was doing, I dropped him where he was. Then I go to review this clip https://medal.tv/games/garrys-mod/clips/hYhVYQO7czXrHdvQu/LJPjpFCQk34t?invite=cr-MSx1TUIsMjM2MDQ1MjU4LA?mobilebypass=true . Which if anyone watches, you see a guy walking to car dealer, and then go into the actual NPC, then getting mowed down by this guy. Granted after reviewing logs I did find that about a minute or two maybe before what you see in the clip, they guy did shoot him once or so. In which, Chuck pulled a Spas out of his inventory and went over to car dealer just to kill him. The guy who initially ARDM'd should have had a sit on him for it, but that was not the case here. Eventually I gave a verbal warning to both as they were both minor offenses. I verbally warned "2001 Lexus" for "NLR and ARDM" and I verbally warned Chuck for "Rev. RDM" and highly encouraged him to make a staff sit next time. ------------------------------------------------- In all instances, the logs were thoroughly reviewed and compiled with the rest of the evidence per situations. I am unable to see every single shot someone fires, or every single car they enter. The only time a log is shown is if someone actually damages you (referring to the second situation.) ~ Ion Davis
  21. Hiiiiiiiii, USMS... I know this was unexpected and put out here without warning, but I want everyone to know it was well thought out. I have come to this decision after months of debate. Unfortunately, many things have happened within this department causing me to leave. I don't want to get into specifics for a multitude of reasons, but anyone who does know could have predicted this. Nonetheless, beginning back in May of 2023, I joined the United States Marshals Service. It was the first department I had ever joined on this server. The department I spent countless hours dedicating my time to, and I loved every second of it. From the Player models to the cars, I loved every part of this department. And back when I was a mere Special Agent, I loved our leadership as well. Everyone was very friendly, welcoming, and understanding if something were to happen. I got trained initially by our Overseer Matilda and Scruffy. They taught me the ways of the department, and showed me how to be an effective hostage negotiator ;). I tell this story a lot, so you probably don't have deja vu. Anyways, from that point I began climbing the ranks at a decent pace, making my way eventually to SVSA. At this point, I applied for Low Command and was soon to become a Associate Deputy Administrator. I did my job exceedingly and was soon to make my way up to Marshal Administrator. I remember a lot of unfortunate things happened in my life which deterred me from moving forward; however, I took and LOA and a week later came back stronger and more dedicated than ever. Proving myself as an effective command member and one that was worthy for High Command. It was November 11th, 2023, and for the first time I was moving to a High Command position aka Lieutenant Marshal. I remember this time was dreadful. It was fun at first, but I soon learned that some members of command were not fond of my presence in that position. This caused a lot of discord throughout the command, and it's a story rarely anyone knows. I will spare you the details, but eventually this and other reasons forced me into reserves. Months later, I returned and was placed as a Chief Marshal Administrator, a rank below Lieutenant Marshal. Yet, even with this small intervention on my path to Deputy Marshal, I stayed vigilant and once more proved myself for High Command. Reaching LTMAR again, and working hard in that position, I finally made my way to DMAR. The position which I lie at today. I want to thank all the member of USMS and all the other outsiders who helped me reach where I am today. It would never have been possible without any of you. INDIVIDUAL MENTIONS: @ScruffyPlays: Marshal Scruffy. You were arguably one of the biggest part of my career. You trained me for Agent, You trained me for Supervisory Special Agent, You Trained me for Associate Deputy Administrator, and lastly you trained me for Lieutenant Marshal and Deputy Marshal. A major part of my knowledge stems from you. I don't know how else to mention the amount of help you have provided me. Thank you for everything you did for USMS and me.
  22. S.W.A.T. MEETING NOTES - 05/17/2024 S.W.A.T. High Command Commander ChipDail: > SWAT rules and regulations updates. The FTO chat got whipped and is a whole new system. All command should help spreading it to FTO's. FTO's and above are able to do non-mandatory trainings at any time throughout the week. They can host any training, examples being trigger discipline, etc... It gives FTO a chance of showing initiative. There is also a format to log trainings, cadet trainings, and tryout logs. Whoever oversees or does the training should log it in the chat. If it doesn't work we will revert it back to what it used to be. be. It's been a ride knowing all of you from a far, and watching you all grow up. I will be around, I'm not going completely MIA. Fuck you, Sly. I will still be around as reserves, I will still help current command with any RP, and any paperwork. There's a lot of reasons for my resignation, but also to give new blooded members a chance to serve as commander. If you ever wanna hang out or anything, never be afraid to reach out. It has been a pleasure to work with all of you, and just maybe will I return once more. ChipDail doesn't plan on coming back, but maybe, maybe something will change, and I will come back. Due to me leaving it vacant, I will be giving Commander to Ion Davis. The man with the best laugh, best smile, and the coolest call-sign ever. Team Leader Ion Davis: Hello, SWAT! It's been quite a journey here to say the least. I'm going to keep this short for the sake of your boredom, so let's get into it. I joined SWAT on May 29th, 2023 through tryouts. I was trained and conditioned by Commander Azrael. I worked hard in SWAT, and quickly made my way up to Private First Class. At this point, for some unknown reason, it took me two months to get promoted. No one ever told me why, but I never got promoted further. Until I hit specialist, I continued to move up quickly through the ranks, and I was a Sergeant by the time Azrael resigned and Ducky became Commander. I learned so much about SWAT in this time, and yet I never saw myself hitting command. If you were to tell me when I was Sergeant that one day I would become Commander. I would have called BS and laughed. I am so happy to be able to serve as your Commander alongside all of you. When I was a Low Command member, and I served directly under CMDR Ducky, I did my absolute best to make SWAT a better more active environment. I spent my time doing all the paperwork, and I was happy to do it. I spent more time than I could count doing everything I could for SWAT. Over the year that I have been apart of this community, I have been staff twice, USMS, FBI, HRT, SS, State Police, CERT, PD Command, and SWAT. I can confidentially say that over all the departments I have ever been in, SWAT has always been the most supportive, fun, compassionate department there was. A department that had your back when you stood alone, and I look forward to continuing that beautiful image it always has been. I know you're probably getting bored, so I will wrap it up with a few mentions. From oldest to newest, thank you to Commander Azrael for helping me into SWAT, and making me the tactical member that I am. Thank you to Commander Ducky for showing me how to be more compassionate to SWAT members, and how to be an effective command member. Last but certainly not least, thank you to Commander ChipDail for preparing me and showing me how to be the commander I have always hoped to be. Thank you for helping me become a more strong, strict but fair, and person of leadership. I can confidentially say that I am ready for Commander with all that you taught me. And to the rest of SWAT, enlisted to Team Leader, thank you for giving me the opportunity of being your commander, I am looking forward to working amongst all of you in the field. Although at times it will be strict, and at times it may seem impossible. We will push past those moments, and grow to become better members of this department. S.W.A.T. Low Command Lieutenant RTMM: > I have not been entirely active this week, but I would like to mention that we have had issues with people asking for car perms. DO NOT ASK FOR CAR PERMS! Command will distribute car perms whenever they see fit. Sergeant First Class Aaron Faustin: First of all, if you are going to a situation make sure you wait for other units. Rushing in by yourself is a sure way to die. We have a few SWAT and CRC updates coming. One new playermodel to replace the ones we currently have, and we have some CRC Skins coming to different vehicles. Lastly, we are getting a CRC MCU Master Sergeant Sly: Remeber to Not HIT PD or STATE Its getting to be a problem of Swat Ramming PD-Ion Sergeant First Class Craft: Keep working on driving! Additional PTS: PD High Command: Commissioner MiniEpic: If you're using the Cyber Truck, don't be a really dumb person with it. I am going to delete your car, and notify your Department Head to prevent you from using it. We all appreciate you ChipDail IA Agent Leaky: Don't be ming Deputy Commissioner BruceyBoyo: N/A Chief Nicc: Don't have fun. Try to have fun. Deputy Chief Ducky: I don't even know where to start with this (I also suck at writing these). First off I really wish I could be there and I hate that I can’t be there to be crying along with you (and if it makes you feel better I’m crying while writing this). A little bit of context for those who don't know Chipdail was commander when I joined SWAT and has been one of my biggest mentors. When I joined SWAT I was a very shy and closed off person, a lot of anxiety and fear. I don't know what you saw in me but you saw something in me. I was filled with such anxiety during my tryout and I remember you being so understanding and accommodating to me. You got to see me climb through all of the important ranks and get to command. I know when you resigned the first time I was just recently demoted out of command and you said I could have been removed that was a rough patch for me but I managed to push through it and climb the low command ranks again. I remember always telling myself “I have to make Chipdail proud.” You were always there for me and gave me those "big chipdail talks" when i got to Team Leader, CoCommander and Commander and you gave me every piece of advice you had and supported me through some of my most toughest of times. You've shaped me to be an individual and command member I never knew I could have been. I looked up to you for a very long time because you were such a major inspiration to me and you knew how to run SWAT so well. Ever since you left the first time I pushed myself so hard because I dreamt of becoming a commander like you were. You eventually even came out of reserves to be my cocommander and assist me in every way you could and if it wasn’t for you doing that I would probably still be in the SWAT commander position. You were always one of my biggest supporters and theres not a large enough thank you for that. You've really made such a lasting impact on me and my career. I have had so many incredible memories that I got to share with you. I will always forever strive to make you proud of me and the work I do. I'm so glad that I got to serve with you again, to this I salute you o7. Side note: Earning ChipDail’s highest respect is really hard guys. If you’ve earned it you don’t want to lose that shit, don’t blow it Reserve SWAT Command: R. Commander Azrael: Try and have fun!! Promotions: ChipDail: Commander (CMDR) → Reserve Commander (OVERSEER) Ion Davis: Team Leader (TL) → Commander (CMDR) Jerald: Specialist (SPC) → Corporal (CPL) Vanguard: Cadet (CDT) → Private (PVT) o7, Commander!
  23. HOSTAGE RESCUE TEAM RESIGNATION Sergeant Ion Davis S-14 Due to me leaving FBI, I unfortunately am unable to stay in this department. I can confidentially say that this department is amazing. I have loved HRT, and it quickly became one of my favorite departments there are. Thank you for giving me a chance to be apart of this department.
