  1. MASSIVE ++++++ SUPPORT This man is someone that I worked with when I was a previous DT VCMDR and DT F16 both times in my career to make sure he can get to a position to become an amazing DT VCMDR himself, and I think he has more than earned that spot and more importantly deserves it. Best of luck babe
  2. [In-Game Name] Dylan [Call-sign] MX7 [Rank] First Sergeant [Which lore squad member are you applying for] V07 [Why do you believe you deserve this position] I believe I deserve this position because of a couple of things that I exhibit. I feel that I am very well-versed and skilled when it comes to marksmanship and combat in general, but I feel this more so when I am behind the scope and serving as a marksman. Being a marksman requires precise aim, timing, and patience, which are all skills that I have adapted and understood throughout my time playing various Star Wars RP servers and various FPS games. I also believe that now and before when I was in TI-23, I dedicate a lot of time to putting the whole of Deathtroopers first before my self desires. I always do my best when running tryouts and providing mentorship to newer members so that way that they are all set up for success and feel that these sets of skills would intertwine very well within TI-23 where each member is reliant and is there to support one another. [Why do you want to be a part of Unit TI-23] TI-23 is the absolute best of the best when it comes to being a Deathtrooper, and for me when it comes to reaching new heights, TI-23 is the perfect sub-branch for me to continue improving my skills not just with combat and PVP, but even more so with being a leader and continuing to improve my leadership skills. I also want to be a part of a group where each person treats one another like family and will always want to prioritize the needs and supports of their team members over anything else (aside from VIPS) and I feel that TI-23 is a sub-branch that best demonstrates these values perfectly. No other group I’ve seen does this aside from TI-23, and that’s what makes it the best of the best more so over than any specific skills. [What does Unit TI-23 do] TI-23, also known as “The Undying” is a highly redacted sub-branch of the main Deathtrooper battalion that is composed of 5 members that each harbor a unique specialization. All TI-23 members are equipped with standard Deathtrooper gear, though each member has unique equipment to help them complete their objectives as effectively as possible. The sub-branch’s main focus is VIP protection and direct combat. All members of TI-23 are of equal level except for F16 who has the main responsibility of leading the sub-branch to success. Members of TI-23 consist of -F16, the Squad Leader that leads all TI-23 operations and has an arsenal of equipment that consists of key elements from every other specialization. He is the main anchor that helps keep his squad in check and up to shape to make them retain their title of the most elite -M36, the Medic Specialist comes equipped with a Bacta Kit and a Shield Kit so that they may provide first aid services to other members of TI-23 and Deathtroopers. M36 is the one closest to the VIP and the person responsible for making sure an assigned VIP is safe at all times -L21, the Demolitions Specialist comes equipped with a DLT-19 heavy blaster rifle, thermal detonator, deployable shield, and fortification tools to help provide other members of TI-23 with advanced firepower and various resources to help keep the other members in a safe condition. -C37, the Close Quarter Combat Specialist comes equipped with a DP-23, flashbang, and heavy deployable shield to help clear sectors and areas as efficiently as possible while at the same time making sure that they are safe and secure at the same time. His CQB skills should be to a T in terms of efficiency. -V07, the Marksman Specialist that comes equipped with an E-11S, jetpack, and deployable shield so that he can quickly move into position to help maintain distance from the main enemy frontline to execute any objectives as well as provide reconnaissance to help instruct other members of TI-23 about clear paths to an objective or VIP, warn of nearing or looming threats, and/or locations of possible areas that might contain intel, resources or VIPs of interest [How active can you be] I work a full-time job, so I do my best to get on every day, but most time it will be in the late evening during the weekday and then earlier in the afternoon for weekends [Do you understand that if you are accepted into Unit TI-23, you will be on a 1-strike system] I understand that I will be on a 1-strike system.
  3. Best of luck with everything my guy
  4. Due to the recent decisions made by leadership on GL, it has only brought back memories I wish to not go through again with being mistreated as a volunteer and I will be joining others in resigning from my position as DT Vice Commander effective as of now. When I first applied for DT Vice Commander and even before when I was acting as F16, I poured so much of my free time into this server and more specifically DT to try and make it the best it could have been. This is in no way an easy decision to make, but in my opinion is the best one in regards to looking out for my best interests. Here is a list of people who made my time in DT absolutely wonderful. Anomaly- Working alongside you has been absolutely great and what we had accomplished in the time working together to get DT into an amazing place is something to be proud about. I wish you the best of luck in whatever else you decide to do. Diabeto- One of the most down to earth and relatable people I had the pleasure of meeting on the server. If you choose to stick around, I know you are going to bring so much to the table and within that have so much potential to be absolutely amazing. Shadow- For all the shit I give you, you honestly have also been great to work with as you always but your 100% into everything for Seeker and along with Diabeto will be someone who can bring amazing stuff to the table. Bard- You have been someone I continuously look up too as you gave me the chance to prove myself in DT and I made sure not to let you down. Keep being the minge you are and don't let anything stop that. JackforPrez- You also are someone I look up too so much as you also provided me with the oppourtunity to show my worth and really step up to the plate. Thank you for all the work you did for DT as I know it has not gone unrecognized. Proteus/Master/Jabronie- Throwing all three of you into the same field, but thank you guys for all the work and hustle as NHC and more importantly for all the love and support you showed for DT, as your guy's support and love really helped motivate me and others to do the best we could with DT. A+ role models and I wish we got to work together more. Tuna- Speaking of getting to work together more, I always enjoyed chatting with you about random DT shit and whatever we would talk about. All it did was make me want to hang with you more and get to work together on cool shit. I hope the best for you as well. Theta- Giving you a shoutout as when I was 501st you really noticed some of the stuff I was doing there, and I mad appreciate that. I wish I could've been there in 501st when you were the Commander. Thrawn/Bon- Really really wish I got to work with the both of you more as well, though from the small interactions I had with the both of you, I can confidently say that you two are some of the most down to earth people I've ever met while at the same time taking the roles you had with utmost value. I hella respect that and once again wish we had more chances to work together. DT- There are a million things I could say about all of you, but please know this. For the few that stick around after Anomaly and I's departures, remember what made DT so special, remember what made DT one of the best battalions on the whole ship, it's because we all harbored a bond that no other battalion really could. All of us saw each other as family and we all had each others backs no matter what. Each of you (if you decide to stay on GL) will all grow to have so much potential and to live very bright futures. And that's because you were among the few to have earned the right to be in our family in DT. From those that led in the past to those who may come in the future. Never ever forget what makes us so special. I love all of you. We will meet again. If I forgot to mention you do not take it too deep, I love you as well and it's also very late for me. It's been real GL
  5. MASSIVE + SUPPORT Putting my own DT biases aside, from how this was structured prior it really does not make a lot of sense. What is seen on paper as something beneficial is not going to be executed well in practice as it'll end up resulting in more complaints from various parties rather than benefits. Just my opinion tho
  6. 1. What is your IGN? (In Game Name) : DT F16 2. What Regiment are you applying for? Death Troopers 3. Why do you want to be a commander of this branch? The reason I want to become a Vice Commander for the Death Troopers is for one how much love I have for it, but also because I see noticeable issues at the moment that I want to look into fixing. From the moment I passed my tryout I made a commitment to myself to be a part of this family and help it however I can. And, to put it nicely, Death Troopers in these past couple of weeks needs some more of that love. Death Troopers starting from ~3-4 weeks ago has had a major issue where activity has been not as persistent as it once had been in major months like November and December. This dip in activity can be attributed to a couple of things, but however it may have started, I want to be the one that can help fix it. I want to do things within the battalion itself to help encourage our current members. Some ideas I’ve had are host weekly missions that helps highlight many of the skills and responsibilities of the various types of certifications and sub-branches that DT has to offer, create more means of communication for the Officers and NCOs by establishing more routine meetings with each group that allows for more open discussion on issues and ideas, and to also do trainings that really push the limits of our troopers so that they can truly become the elite VIP protection battalion that they are meant to be. From an outside perspective, I want to start initatieves to get others who are new or wanting to join a new battalion to choose Death Troopers. Some ideas being to work with GMs on crafting a series of events that highlight the type of stuff that Death Troopers get themselves into as means to encourage others to join as well as look into doing more cross battalion activities that can allow those in other battalions to get a taste of Death Trooper action. My bottom line though, is that I am willing to do whatever it takes to make Death Troopers an even more amazing battalion than what it already currently is. 4. How much game time do you have on the server? As of 3/12/23, My Battlemetrics states that I have 632:21 hours on the server 5. What is the Main Purpose of a commander for a branch? The way I like to see the dynamic between Vice Commanders and Commander are similar to how you see engineering or coding. Commanders are there to provide the back end by consistently updating documents and working with their higher ranked Officers and Vice Commanders on how to continue working on things that can help build more structure and support to a battalion. The Vice Commander, however, serves to be much more of a front-end facing leader where their main goal is to really serve as the face or gold standard of their battalion. Vice Commanders are expected to be the ones to drive the rest of the troopers, like NCOs and Officers, to be consistent or improving with the upholding of the battalion and being the main support pillar that keeps all of the day-to-day operations going with the ability to jump in and help whenever something is to go wrong or an area needs an extra pair of hands. Vice Commanders should also be making sure to always check in with everyone to see if any issues are present so that they can work to come up with solutions that can be implemented and help fix any issues that are to be highlighted. 6. Why should we trust you to be a commander? : I have shown many of times that I have the capabilities to be an amazing leader and most importantly a role model to those that are around me. I currently hold the title of F16 and lead my TI-23 Squad through whatever work diligently to make the sub-branch I lead uphold the title of “The Best of The Best”. I hold the rank of Colonel, meaning that I am the leader of all Officers and have the responsibility of making sure each officer is being given assignments to help uphold the operations of our battalion and are able to hit their individual quotas. I’m extremely polite, professional and respectful to all of those around me. I love chatting and messing around with those under me as it helps create bonds that further solidify my reputation. And I feel I am already at the gold-standard for all other Death Troopers within the battalion and work to make sure they hit that same standard. 7. How often can you be Online? : Work as of recent for me has been more hectic, but I always make sure to be online everyday for 2-3 hours with most of my activity initiating any time after 6 PM EST. 8. Do you have any Warnings? (What for?) : I’ve never received a warning on any GL servers. Thank you for giving me a chance to apply for this position and thank you for taking time out of your day to read my application!
  7. Thank you for everything, sir. You have been such a significant part of DT that it hurts to see you go, but I can't wait to see what more you'll bring as HGM.
  8. Take care Akeru, you were an amazing Commander :salute:
  9. This is by far one of the best applications I've ever seen on Gaminglight ++++Support
  10. ++++Support Since I've been in DT, IO5 has been an amazing leader in making sure I became as talented as possible and always made sure I excelled in whatever way. He has so much to teach and he is very humbled in his work within DT.
  11. [In-Game Name] Test/Dylan [Call-sign] MX7 [Rank] First Sergeant [Which lore squad member are you applying for] V07 [Why do you believe you deserve this position] I believe I deserve this position because of a couple things that I exhibited. I feel that I am very well versed and skilled when it comes to marksmanship and combat in general, but I feel this more so when I am behind the scope and serving as a marksman. Being a marksman requires precise aim, timing and patience, which are all skills that I have come to really adapt and understand throughout my time playing various Star Wars RP servers as well as many various FPS games. I also believe that I have proven myself to be one of the most dedicated Deathtroopers in the battalion at this point in time. I always make sure to be as active as possible with the amount of time I have in each day and always do my part in making sure I am bringing in new troopers through tryouts and making sure that those troopers are as caught up on what they need to exhibit on their regular duties as a Deathtrooper Enlisted and if they are not, I will make sure to help teach and guide them through whatever duties they are struggling on or answer questions they may have in regards to our SOP or miscellaneous information that the SOP isn’t as clear on. I also make sure that whatever VIP I am currently assigned too is as well-guarded and safe as possible, even if that means putting myself into a situation that is not the most ideal to be in so that I can ensure the VIP remains unharmed and well. [Why do you want to be a part of Unit TI-23] TI-23 is the absolute best of the best when it comes to being a Deathtrooper, so knowing me where I always make it my goal to always continuously improve on myself and reach heights most cannot reach on their own and where I like to put myself to my own upmost limit in order to achieve or reach an objective, I knew that being a part of this sub-branch was my main goal. In comparison to all of the other specializations that TI-23 has to offer, I know that V07 is what fits me perfectly and can reflect most of what my actual skills are. [What does Unit TI-23 do] TI-23, also known as “The Undying” is a highly redacted sub-branch of the main Deathtrooper battalion that is composed of 5 members that each harbor their own unique specialization. All TI-23 members are equipped with standard Deathtrooper gear, though each member has unique equipment that can help them complete their objectives as effectively as possible. All members of TI-23 are of equal level with the exception of F16 Members of TI-23 consist of -F16, the Squad Leader that leads all TI-23 operations and has an arsenal of equipment that consists of key elements from every other specialization. -M36, the Medic Specialist that comes equipped with a Bacta Kit and a Shield Kit so that they may provide first aid services to other members of TI-23 and Deathtroopers. -L21, the Demolitions Specialist that comes equipped with a DLT-19 heavy blaster rifle, thermal detonator, deployable shield, and fortification tools to help provide other members of TI-23 with advanced firepower and various resources to help keep the other members in a safe condition. -C37, the Close Quarter Combat Specialist that comes equipped with a DP-23, flashbang, and deployable shield to help clear sectors and areas as efficiently as possible while at the same time making sure that they are safe and secure at the same time. -V07, the Marksman Specialist that comes equipped with an E-11S, jetpack, and deployable shield so that he can quickly move into position to help maintain distance from the main enemy frontline to execute any objectives as well as provide reconnaissance to help instruct other members of TI-23 about clear paths to an objective or VIP, warn of nearing or looming threats, and/or locations of possible areas that might contain intel, resources or VIPs of interest [How active can you be] On weekdays I can be on for around 2-3 hours each day and on weekends I can be on for 6+ hours. [Do you understand that if you are accepted into Unit TI-23, you will be on a 1-strike system] I understand that I will be on a 1-strike system.
  12. What is your In Game Name? ARCTRN MSGT Dylan 09/501st SNRHVY MSGT Dylan 0825 What is your SteamID? STEAM_0:0:47468734 How Long Have You Been In 501st? I've been in 501st for a little over 3 weeks Why Do You Want to Become an Officer? [100+ Words] The reason I want to become an Officer I feel is put simply as this, I love to lead. While I am always respectful of all those that are above me in rank and will always make sure I can help where needed to ensure that our battalion is growing at an amazing rate and harboring some of the most qualified troops, I feel that these responsibilities will be easier for me to achieve and surpass if I were amongst the ranks of those who can actually call a lot of those shots. Though another reason as to why I want to become an officer in the 501st is something more of a bold claim on my part, I’m willing to say it and express my concern. Recently in the 501st, I’ve been exhibiting first-hand and second-hand many instances of trooper immaturity, disrespect, and borderline minging. While some who may read this application may know I’m not the most mature of all people, I know where my limits are when it ranges from having fun to bothering others, and I’ve seen it cross that limit multiple times in the past few days. Will I be able to solve this problem and make sure it never happens again? Well, no I can’t, that’s just an impossible outlook when in relation to never wanting to be too controlling to people on an RP server. Though, what I do ensure will happen if put as an officer is crack down on when stuff like this does happen whenever I see it first hand and second hand and have these instances serve more as a time for learning for the broader battalion rather than punishing and having people walk away from these situations with nothing but shame. Which I think boils down to my whole statement here. Why I want to become an officer is not for the sake of being an over looming entity with the power to make immense changes, but as a teacher who wants to spread his learnings on what makes a team great and how we can implement that here in the 501st. How could you assist the 501st Command with this rank? [75+ Words] Besides teaching my own policies about being consistently respectful and well-mannered to those around us, I’d also like to begin boosting up the amount of trainings we do as a team, and I’d like to definitely highlight on the team part. Sure we can have a battalion filled with amazing pilots, talented PVP-ers and inspiring leaders, but none of that will matter if all of us are not working together as a team and more so don’t know how to properly function as one. If made an officer, I will make sure to consistently host simulations and trainings where I will highlight working as a team to complete an objective efficiently and swiftly, similar to choreographing a dance almost. These team based trainings of course will be paired with typical shooting based training and other combat, movement and roleplay based training to help strengthen in weakened areas for specific troopers that might struggle with these types of things. How many strikes do you have? I do not have any strikes on my record What Qualifications could you bring to the 501st Officer Team? While I do not have any leadership experience here on Gaminglight, before joining this server I lead many different battalions on other servers such as ARC, 501st, and Shock and plus outside in the real world I have lead teams of people for my various jobs I’ve had over the past couple of years Have you had any previous experience has an Officer? If accepted, this will be my first time being an officer here on Gaminglight, but this will not be my first rendezvous being an Officer in Star Wars RP. What is the purpose/duty of an Officer?: I feel the true answer to this question would play off of what I said before, being that the job of an Officer should be to teach. The last thing an Enlisted or an NCO needs to have is another person barking orders constantly and telling them what to do, and most of the time nothing is taken away from that. So instead of making the enlisted who probably isn’t the best shot feel terrible for not being at their best, help them learn and teach them methods or techniques they can take with them to help better themselves the next time they’re sent out on a mission or participate in a tournament or sim. Decisions like that in my opinion only strengthen the connections an Officer has to their peers and how much an enlisted or NCO can trust on that officer to help them when they want to improve.
  13. +Support Ghost is a really active, professional and down to earth person and I feel that he would make a great fit to be a part of TI-23 as L21
