  1. Wow not even a mention. Unfucking believable
  2. +Support!!! -App is relatively detailed though I think it could use a bit more. -Excellent character. -Leadership. -Good Grammar -Seems to understand the duties of a commander
  3. Huge -Support. This application is extremely low effort. You are applying to be the commander of a battalion not an NCO. No effort given in this application leads me to believe that would be how you would act as a command member. That being said I don't wish the worst for you or anything but this is kinda unacceptable imo.
  4. +/-Support leaning towards +Support PROS: Ok so something like this is definitely sorely needed. CC's are way too overbearing at the current status with some upwards of 5K HP. Health and gun damage are heavily inflated. As NoShow stated NPC's are essentially useless against players with upwards of 1K+ HP. I think events and the server in general could benefit heavily from making events more difficult by reducing the HP of players. Doing this would bring skill based combat back into the server for PVP and PVE and make players have to be careful about what they do instead of just Call of Duty YOLOing in. Events and PVP are not based on skill but rather who has the most HP. Unless they miss every shot the CC with 3K HP is gonna beat the Normal trooper every time. In the same vein troopers can easily solo entire spawners with the massive damage reduction and 1K HP they can have. Doing this would bring back skill and tactics based combat into the server which is something that's been sorely missing for a long time. CONS: Ok so this would obviously be a MASSIVE change and would require a huge amount of work on the side of the Dev Team. It would require changes to every job and especially CC's since you would have to put a cap on how much HP they can buy to balance the server. Since they paid for their CC health im not sure if this would be an option? Guns, sabers, explosives and the like would all have to be rebalanced. Skill trees would need to be looked at and something like this could conceivably take months to accomplish. Is it doable? Probably but it would be so much work it may not be worth it in the end. Is something like this needed? Yes I do believe the server's health values and CC's are wayyy too OP and inflated but I think this may be a difficult thing to get done. I do think Glorbnob has the right idea here, the first thing that should be really looked at is CC's, most every other job is pretty balanced PVP wise so looking into CC's would be the #1 priority in seeing if this would work or not.
  5. +1 W Suggestion. This would bring some Versatility into the squad shield and open up new tactics for battalions who have squad shields.

    S21's M36 App

[In-Game Name] Anomaly [Call-sign] S21/EX1 [Rank] 1SGT [Which lore squad member are you applying for] I am applying for the position of M36. [Why do you believe you deserve this position] I believe I deserve a shot at M36 due to my past experiences and training within DT. I worked my way up to DT Commander back when I first started DT. During that time I made several documents and was one of the better officers. I ended up joining Seeker and becoming SCO1. When I became VCMDR I was put in charge of Seeker as SCO. Upon returning to the server I have made my way back up the ranks pretty quickly and stand as one of the more active members in DT. I maintain my professionalism both on and off job which is a core quality of TI-23 members. I also have lots of experience working in tight knit units having been part of Inferno and IC in the past who both take the tight knit squad unit seriously. I know what is expected of TI members and what is expected of me. Not just to be a good DT but to be the best of the best both on and off job. You are expected to know how to work together in TI yes but you also are expected to help other DT members succeed. That is part of being a good Officer and member of DT in general. I never have problems with quota or not doing what I am supposed to do either, i'm always hitting or exceeding quota for DT and putting in the work for the battalion. [Why do you want to be a part of Unit TI-23] I want to be a part of TI-23 for several reasons. One of the main reasons is that I want to be a part of a more tight knit squad unit. It is something I really enjoy doing and am good at. The way the specialty equipment and each member assists and complements the other is something that speaks to me. I was already Seeker last time around as well so I am interested in doing something a bit different. Finally TI-32 is the most elite of the Death Troopers Battalion and so I want to push myself to get up to that level. [What does Unit TI-23 do] Unit TI-23 is the Death Trooper Battalion’s unique Lore Based unit. They are a tight knit unit with each member specializing in a different field. They are the most elite of the DT battalion and have special tools and training that other DT do not have. Because of this each member of TI-23 complements the other and forms part of a cohesive whole. F-16 is the Squad Leader and leads TI-23 on missions. F-16 has elements of each member's loadout to reflect their abilities however does not have the full loadout. F-16 is tasked with leading TI-23 on missions and directing them as needed. F-16 is equipped with the Standard E11-D, dual RK-3 blaster pistols, an E11-S sniper rifle, the hunter shotgun, flashbangs, a booster bacta kit and the ability to place fortifications with the tablet. This allows F-16 to fulfill any role needed while leading the squad into combat. L-21 is the team’s demolition and engineering specialist. L-21 able to both set up and destroy fortifications, breach locked doors, hack terminals and disable explosives. L-21 is equipped with the standard E-11D, dual RK-3 blaster pistols, a DLT-19, thermal detonators, impact grenades, a fusion cutter, a deployable shield, the fortification tablet and a wrench. This allows L-21 to both provide covering fire during an advance, or place down fortifications for a defense. His suite of engineering tools allows him to deal with any obstacles that may be in the way of the squad. C-37 is TI-23’s CQC specialist. He is equipped the the Standard DT E-11D, dual RK-3 blaster pistols, the hunter shotgun, flashbangs, and a heavy shield. C-37 is equipped and expected to breach and clear rooms for the squad. His arsenal of flashbangs, shotguns and the heavy shield are a very useful tool in this role. The heavy shield covers the whole body of the user and so is especially useful for breaching rooms. The shotgun is an excellent close quarters weapon and the flashbang can easily blind opponents in a room before a breach. V-07 is the squad’s marksman and scout. V-07 is equipped with the E-11D, dual RK-3 blaster pistols, the E-11S Sniper Rifle, a deployable shield and the ability to spawn in a jetpack. V-07 is primarily the Squad’s marksman and scout and is uniquely suited for this role, having access to a sniper rifle. The ability to use a jetpack also gives V-07 the ability to take the high ground over a situation and gain an advantage other enemies or members of TI-23 cannot do. This allows him to scout ahead for potential threats or pick off targets from long range. Finally M-36 is the Squad’s medical specialist. Equipped with E-11D, dual RK-3 blaster pistols, the booster bacta kit, armor kit, defibs and a squad shield, M-36 is built with one goal in mind. The sustainment of the VIP and TI-23 members in a combat situation. M-36’s suite of medical tools enable him to keep the VIP alive for longer than any other DT could be able to do. The booster bacta kit allows for healing and the Armor kit replenishes the armor of any other Imperial Personnel. M-36 also has a Squad Shield to provide full 360 degree cover against incoming fire. Finally if worst comes to worst, M-36 is trained for combat triage and evacuation carrying Defibs to revive downed personnel and the ability and know how to perform battlefield surgery at a moments notice. M-36 is therefore an integral part of TI-23 as he keeps both the VIP and the squad functioning at top notch. [How active can you be] I am on at least 4 times a week work permitting. If something were to happen I would always put in a LOA/ROA. [Do you understand that if you are accepted into Unit TI-23, you will be on a 1-strike system] Yes I do.
  7. +Support for the model change -Support for the models proposed (and kama) I looked at the addon and optimized it even further, fixing some clipping issues in the process (although I can't figure out weight pains on the pauldron). In total, the entire pack went down from 411 MBs to 176 MBs without any loss in quality. Given the current pack we have is larger than what I managed to cook up (on top of the separate seeker model) I believe we could overhaul all models, making them look better than ever while also saving on some space, and keeping everything in one addon for convenience. So, while the base idea of the suggestion is valid (current models are ugly and bloated), I disagree with how it could be handled. Also kama does not fit the battalion at all. I think if we are to overhaul models for a battalion (a rare occurrence) we better do it right so there is no room for regrets since we won't be getting that chance again any time soon. ^^ This right here!! We don't use a kama anyways so no need for one added. I would like to see the forest model to go along with the urban seeker camo but that's besides the point. I think Steve hit this right on the head. This could be handled a bit better for sure. DT has needed a model update for a long time, I think this could be it.
  8. Major W +100!!! Adding some NPC's that take cover, throw grenades and work together flanking etc... would make events not only way more fun!! But the amount of different types of NPC's would make things a lot less stale! One major problem with combat events is that it's pretty point and click sometimes. DropPod than spawner and the players camp spawners. With these NPC's they move around A LOT. Taking cover, throwing grenades and flanking etc... They can be far more difficult and fun to fight. Another big plus with the CIS pack is that it adds in some cool vics and stuff to fight as NPC's. That's something we severely lack imo. Can't stress enough how much this would help the server and bring life into events. -Former AHGM Anomaly
  9. +Support! Steve has been doing good work in DT in the time I've been back. He is one of our more competent NCO's and I think he definitely deserves this position! He's active and knows what to do.
  10. +Support!! Alpha obviously has a ton of experiance in leadership positions and he had been doing great in DT!!
  11. What is your in-game name?: DT SSGT EX1 What is your steam name?: Anomaly What is your steam ID?: 76561197983217607 Do you have any other experience with staffing?: (If yes, explain) Yes I have plenty of staff experiance. I reached admin on 3 other servers with one of which being BLN CWRP. When I joined GamingLight back in 2022 I decided to help out the community more and so became a GM. After a little while of being a GM I joined the staff team. From there I eventually worked my way up to Senior Admin and AHGM. What date did you start playing on the community? (roughly) May 2022 then took a year break in 2023. I am now returning full time. What date did you make your forums account? May 4th 2022 Current rank on server (This is a ULX rank ONLY! Not a RP Rank)? Gamemaster How many warns do you have on the server? I believe I have 2 warns from a long time ago. Have you donated? Yes I have Darth and have bought a few other packages What rank are you applying for? T-MOD Have you read the staff guidelines at You will be tested on it: Yes! Timezone: PST Permission (Admin+ need this): N/A Why do you believe that you deserve the rank? (Can be any length): I believe I deserve the rank because I am very experienced in Staffing and in the GL Community in general. While it has been awhile since I was staff here It's not so long ago that I don't remember how and what to do. And I do believe that I have grown as a person in the time I've been gone as well. I've grown to be more patient and approachable over my time both on GL and away from it, which back then I felt was probably what kept me back from higher positions. I do feel that I'm ready to come back to GamingLight full time both in and out of RP. How would you handle someone that is Mass RDMing and when you bring him/her to an admin sit all they do is curse at you?: As this is a situation I've dealt with before I would take them up to the top of the ship where we do all the admin sits. I would explain to them that if they don't calm down they will be gagged. Assuming they continue to curse me out I would gag them and then look through logs and listen to the other parties involved. If there is evidence from other parties that would be helpful as well. Once determining they have been Mass RDMing on purpose I would ban them and fill out the paperwork.
  12. Well boys its been real but due to the serious issues with the server and people on it and how it's being run I will be now taking my leave. I have watched and hoped it would get better but it seems to be not getting better. Perhaps I shall return someday but most likely not. I have had fun and here is a list of honorable mentions on people who have made my time here fun and a great experiance. Bon: My glorious lord Emperor Palpatine. Best of luck in all future endeavors, best British boy. Mann: My lovely Grand Admiral Blue Mann, you were the best Thrawn I ever saw and lord of RP. My favorite member of Command no cap Crunch: My first DT Commander!! I love you sir! Racc: DT Commander and Gallius Rax, you turned myself and DT into radical islamists!! My love and idol! Massala Tuna: Where to begin, probably the most fun member of Army HCOM i've had the pleasure of knowing. Loved you as Shock as well. Fair seas my brother. Chief: Where to start as well. You were probably the most influential member on my journey within DT. You taught me so much and it's sad It had to end as soon as I got to Commander but thats the way it is. JackforPrez: My guy, a great DT and an amazing JMT. We held the GM team together for as long as we could together. Zabuza: Zabuza my love my favorite IQ Command Member! I will miss you a lot man.
