  1. -Support Where is the app? There are a total of 4 full sentences here...
  2. +Support Used this on another server and it worked very well. Allowed for more immersive RP and for DT to communicate with their VIP below the rank of MAJ.
  3. Please refer to post: https://gaminglight.com/forums/topic/103849-e11d-holosight-addition/ I have heard from a few DT that they are a little disappointed in the E-11D holosight. The main issue I am hearing is that they do not like the sight being a static png. When ADS and moving your head around, the sight stays static and does not move with the weapon itself. My suggestion to fix this is to use the holosight from the Westar 11 (rw_sw_westar11) and change the yellow tint on the sight to a green one. The sight from the Westar skews as the weapon moves making it seem more "realistic" rather than having an image planted in the middle of the users screen. I also noticed the E-11D and the E-11D holosight have slightly different stats. Refer to images below: I realize this may be intentional, if this is the case, we would like to know. After talking with fellow command and our overseer (all credit to Salt for the idea) we would like to have both weapons merged and have the holosight be a toggleable option in the "c" menu. The toggle would be similar to the toggle mode for rocket types on the smart launcher (rw_sw_smartlauncher). Refer to image below:
  4. Massive +Support I have been asking and pushing for these changes for over a year now (especially M36). TI-23 is supposed to be a squad containing members with unique abilities to better assist other members in the squad, VIP's and other DT. These changes would definitely benefit TI-23 and assist them in their day to day duties.
  5. -Support Please write your own application. Stop using Chat GPT. We want to see what you feel about yourself and what you can do, not AI.
  6. +SUPPORT This man is a great GM. Has the good dupes, good ideas and is a free thinker. Man needs to use his mic tho. I KNOW YOU HAVE ONE THAT WORKS!
  7. 1. What is your IGN? (In Game Name) : Diabeto 2. What Regiment are you applying for? Death Trooper Vice Commander 3. Why do you want to be a commander of this branch? I’d like to first say, I don’t want people thinking I’m applying just because I’m eligible. Yes, I reached MAJ recently but I believe that I do possess the capabilities and experience to be a Vice Commander within DT. Over the last year, DT has been like a second family. I have so many memories within the battalion because of all the great people that I have played with. I genuinely enjoy every last minute I spend on the job. It makes it a lot easier when the people you are playing with make the experience better. Shadow, Dylan, Salt, and many more currently in the battalion and previously in, have made my time within DT genuinely enjoyable. I hope to reach the rank of Vice Commander so I can give back in more ways to the battalion and help it grow. I have plenty of ideas for DT ranging from updating every document, to sub branch changes, to boosting the overall morale and well being of DT. DT has given me so much during my time here and I would like to put all my effort into giving back to those people who have made my time within the battalion amazing. 4. How much game time do you have on the server? ~1450 hours 5. What is the Main Purpose of a commander for a branch? I have stated this many times, and I know many people within DT can attest to this. A Commander leads by example. People respond better to action rather than yelling out orders. There is a time to be silly and goof around, this is how you build bonds between members however, you also have to have their respect and know when it's time to crack down and get serious. Commanders have to make the hard decisions within the battalion such as removals and changes. They have to shape a path in order to let the battalion grow. I can say that I’ve been pretty close with all my Command teams throughout my time on the server, and I can see how much they need to keep track of. Personally, I speak with Shadow a lot. I can see that he is in need of help on the administrative side of DT. I’d like to be the person to help alleviate the workload and work closely with him on farthing DT’s development. A Commander's job is also to maintain cross battalion relations. Without cross battalion relations, the entire server falls as a whole. Command teams are supposed to work closely with one another to maintain these relations. Ways to improve these relations can range from activities such as SIMs to special operations missions. Recently, I’ve been having a great time with Storm. I feel that the mutual respect between the Storm and DT has improved over the last little while and I hope that we can recreate this with other battalions.. In all, a Commander must lead by example, being understanding and approachable but know when to crack down and get serious. They must be able to make the hard decisions for the betterment of the battalion. And lastly, they must try to maintain the relations between other battalions to further expand growth as a community. 6. Why should we trust you to be a commander? : I believe I have proven to be a capable and trustworthy member of the server. I don’t believe (please call me out if I’m wrong) I have ever done anything on the server to break anyone's trust. I always keep my promises and am always vocal about my opinions. I also have a lot of previous experience in leadership positions such as: Purge Brawler Junior Lead, IC Maroon (the first), IC Omega squad (Darman, Attin and Fi - Omega Squad Vice Lead), IC VCMDR Scorch, DT M36 (now my second time) and DT F16. I was also a member of both the staff team and GM team for a period of 6 months. 7. How often can you be Online? : Since my work schedule has improved, I am able to be on almost every night between 7-12 pm EST. 8. Do you have any Warnings? (What for?) : I have never received a warning or ban My History Joined Gaminglight March 17 2022 Purge/IQ Joined Purge 3/18/22 Purge NCO 3/23/22 Joined IQ 4/5/22 Purge Officer 4/9/22 Received BJL 5/7/22 (as a 1LT) it is around this time I focused almost all my time into IC Resigned from Purge but remained as IQ 6/19/22 Removed from IQ - Was focusing all spare time on IC 7/14/22 IC Joined IC 4/5/22 IC NCO 4/9/22 Joined Crimson [1156 Maroon] 4/14/22 (as a SSGT) IC Officer 5/6/22 Joined Omega [1136 Darman] 5/13/22 (as a 2LT) Moved to 8015 Fi 5/23/22 (as a 1LT) Promoted to CPT at promotion ceremony by Palpatine 5/23/22 Diabeto's IC Vice Commander Sev Application- Denied [due to being too new to the officer corps with not enough essential experience] 5/23/22 - 5/28/22 Made IC OSVL CPT 3222 Atin 5/24/22 Promoted to MAJ by Goat 5/28/22 Promoted to LTCOL by Boss 6/7/22 Diabeto's IC Vice Commander Scorch Application - Accepted [Promoted by Palpatine at promotion ceremony] 6/13/22 - 6/15/22 Demoted to MAJ for inactivity 8/15/22 Staff Joined Mod team 6/1/22 TMod - Mod 6/7/22 Joined GM Team 6/18/22 TGM - GM0 6/24/22 Mod - SMod 7/1/22 GM0 - GMI 7/1/22 GMI - GMII 7/9/22 GMII - GMIII 7/15/22 Removed from GM team by Kio while on LOA - 9/4/2022 Important Notes Mid July until end August I went really inactive for a multitude of reasons. Those reasons included work, moving into an apartment for the first time and other personal reasons. I never lost my love for GL and still did work in the back group such as updating the IC Demolitions SOP, IC Demolitions Tryout Guide, IC Sniper Tryout Guide, the entirety of the IC Hacking Guide, the IC Project Omega SOP and the IC Omega Selections. I unfortunately didn't have much time to be on the server physically which resulted in me eventually being demoted to MAJ for inactivity and missing monthly quota. I was honestly pretty sad about it as I had worked hard to get to where I was. But I knew that I'd eventually be back and work my way back up. The Return of Diabeto In January 2023, I decided to return to GL. I hopped on the server every one and a while. I realized that I really missed being here so I officially came back on 1/17/23. I was moving again, starting a new job and going through therapy. I decided to go into reserves and got the reserve rank of 1LT. I promised I would return... Diabeto's Return... After a few messages from Shadow and some time on the server, I decided I would make my return. I made my announcement (unbeknownst to Shadow) during a debrief. 9. [In-Game Name] Diabeto [Call-sign] DA3 [Rank] 1LT [Which lore squad member are you applying for] M36 [Why do you believe you deserve this position] Personally, I do not think anyone “deserves” a position in TI-23. I think that the honor of being a member of TI-23 is earned. Hard work, dedication and leadership are all core qualities TI-23 looks for in its members. I don’t think I “deserve” the position, but I do believe that I have shown that I have the qualities that a member of TI-23 should possess. When I first joined TI-23 in February of 2023, I took on the role of M36. At the time, I did not know all the minute details in their role as seen by some of the comments on my application. Specifically I think of Silon who said “Are you looking to join this specific position for the medical aspect, or looking to join because you just want to be part of TI-23? It is important that you think about the specific role you are looking at. You may be good at communication, but does that qualify you for the medic specialty?”. Initially, I took this personally without fully grasping its significance. However, my experience in TI-23, particularly in the role of M36, has provided clarity. M36 is more than just another member of TI-23, they make or break any engagement for DT. The role of M36 involves significant interaction with the VIP, emphasizing the importance of effective communication and understanding of each VIP's unique preferences and needs. Recognizing and adapting to the distinct behaviors of individual VIPs can impact the outcome of attacks on the VIP. While I don’t want to use the fact that my prior roles as M36 and F16 automatically make me "deserving" or "qualified" for the position, these experiences, spanning six months, have enriched my leadership skills. I approached my roles with dedication and hard work. As M36, I recognize the crucial responsibilities of safeguarding the VIP, performing surgeries, and providing medical assistance for DT. Despite not claiming entitlement to the role, I believe my consistent demonstration of qualification and preparedness is evident. [Why do you want to be a part of Unit TI-23] Upon joining DT in January 2023, I was enlisted by the then F16, who took me under their wing, providing training and imparting invaluable insights into the intricacies of DT. Admiring their leadership, I expressed my aspiration to follow in their footsteps as F16. My determination and hard work eventually led me to achieve this goal. Within TI-23, I found a community of like-minded individuals who served as role models. Joining this elite squad brought added responsibilities, attracting more attention to my actions. This increased visibility means that fellow members seek my support and advice, recognizing my experience within DT. While TI-23 encompasses specialized roles, I firmly believe that a strong TI-23 squad benefits the entirety of DT. I aspire to be a member who can contribute comprehensively, supporting DT in various aspects once again. [What does Unit TI-23 do] TI-23 stands as an elite squad, distinguished by the exceptional capabilities of its members, each specializing in key areas to fulfill their duties with utmost precision. These troopers not only safeguard VIPs but also play a crucial role in assisting their squad and the broader DT with added responsibilities stemming from their specialized kits. C37, the close-quarters combat specialist, embodies swift and decisive action. Tasked with leading the charge into confined spaces, C37 excels at neutralizing immediate threats, ensuring the safety of the team as they breach and clear rooms. V07, the marksman of the group, operates with precision at a distance. His expertise lies in long-range target acquisition and high-value target elimination. Armed with a sniper rifle, V07 secures elevated positions, offering crucial battlefield intelligence and eliminating threats from afar. L21, the demolitions expert, is a versatile asset to TI-23. Proficient in various areas, from laying down suppressive fire to handling explosives and fortifications, L21 ensures that the squad has the tools needed for success in any mission. M36 serves as the combat medic, prioritizing the well-being of the VIP and the overall squad. With a booster bacta kit, an armorkit, and a squad shield, M36 not only tends to immediate medical needs but also contributes to the overall resilience of the team. Field surgery and medical expertise further empower M36 to provide aid during missions. Lastly, F16 stands as the backbone and leader of TI-23. As the pinnacle of the TI unit, F16's leadership is indispensable. Fearless and seasoned, F16 guides the squad through the complexities of their missions, ensuring cohesion and success. Without F16, the unity and effectiveness of TI-23 would be compromised. Together, these specialized individuals form a cohesive and formidable unit, exemplifying excellence in their respective roles and collectively enhancing the capabilities of the broader DT. TI-23's commitment to protecting VIPs and executing missions with precision and expertise solidifies their place as an elite force within the ranks of the DT. [How active can you be] I am still figuring out my schedule and how consistently active I can be however, I am currently trying to be on the server at least every second day, between 5pm & 12pm EST. Sundays are my most active day as that is the only day I have no work. [Do you understand that if you are accepted into Unit TI-23, you will be on a 1-strike system] I understand.
