I have not been on the server for very long. It was only recently that I found it to be extremely fun to be apart of the Research Branch. One of the first people I met in the branch was Research Supervisor Trevdec. He has been a tremendous help to my growth in the research division. He has given me advice, tips, and guidance in most of my tasks. He is a very amusing, smart, and persistent individual. Background Research: SCP-049 is a humanoid wearing black robes and a ceramic plague doctor mask. This SCP exhibits an undeniable nature to cure select patients of a "pestilence". When coming into physical contact with any human, all biological function will cease within said person in seconds. SCP-049 does not see pestilence in anyone appearing to be a doctor or researcher, and will spare them from "curing". During "curing", SCP-049 will most likely turn the subject into an instance of SCP-049-2. Hypothesis: If a D-Class were to arm wrestle SCP-049, then SCP-049 will overcome the D-Class in all instances. Summary: This test was completed to calculate SCP-049's physical strength capabilities. If a D-Class is to arm wrestle SCP-049, then we should be able to get enough calculations of strength from SCP-049 and the D-Class, before the D-Class' biological structure shuts down. SCP-049 was the dependent variable, the three D-Class we tested with were the Independent variables, and the researcher (Dr. Clause) we first tested the D-Class' physical strength with, was the control variable. First, to test all three of the D-Class' physical strength capabilities (which we calculated in percentages of winning an arm wrestle match), we told all three D-Class to arm wrestle a researcher assisting with the test (Dr. Clause). In all of the following instances, the higher percentages won the arm wrestle match. The first D-Class showed an 82.26% chance of winning against the researcher, while the researcher only had a 17.74% chance of winning. the second D-Class showed a 63.38 % chance of winning against the researcher, while the researcher only had a 36.52%% chance of winning. The final D-Class showed a 19.05% chance of winning against the researcher, while the researcher had an 80.95% chance of winning. Now that the Independent variables had been established with the control variable, we could now test the D-Class' physical strength against SCP-049's physical strength. When the first D-Class challenged SCP-049, they had a 57.63% chance of winning, while SCP-049 only had a 42.37% chance of winning. This D-Class was turned into an SCP-049-2 instance shortly afterwards. When the second D-Class challenged SCP-049, they had a 30.16% chance of winning, while SCP-049 had a 69.84% chance of winning. This D-Class was also turned into an SCP-049-2 instance shortly afterwards. When the final D-Class challenged SCP-049, they had a 39.22% chance of winning, while SCP-049 had a 60.78% chance of winning. This D-Class was turned also into an SCP-049-2 instance shortly afterwards. With the arm wrestling done, we calculated the average strength of each individual D-Class and then calculated the average strength of a D-Class. The average D-Class physical strength gives them a 48.63% chance of overcoming opposition. We also calculated the average strength of SCP-049. SCP-049's average physical strength gave him a 57.66% chance of overcoming opposition. Observations (What Happened During Test): Administering lavender (L. multifida) to the D-Class did not affect their physical strength capabilities, only their amount of tranquilness towards SCP-049. After winning a match, SCP-049 showed signs of elation; but when SCP-049 lost a match, he became angered . When each instance of SCP-049-2's were terminated, SCP-049 became more angered after each termination. Evidence/Visual Stimuli: N/A. Recorded evidence was lost in the containment breach with SCP-049 that followed directly after testing. Analysis / Conclusion (What Could Of Caused The Results): We concluded that the average chances of physical survival against SCP-049 leaves a D-Class with a 48.63% chance of beating SCP-049, while SCP-049 has a 57.66% chance of beating the opposition. Was Your Hypothesis Correct?: No. Although, SCP-049 exceeds the average physical strength capacity of a D-Class/Human by a mere 9%, he is still able to be beaten.
