Research into SCP-008 is highly classified and primarily aimed at preventing research which may lead to the synthesis of SCP-008 in the distant future. Traits of the SCP-008 prion include: 100% infectiousness. 100% lethality. Transmission through exposed mucous membranes and all bodily fluids. Not airborne or waterborne. Symptoms of infection with SCP-008 manifest no more than three hours after exposure, and include: Flu-like symptoms with high fever, plus severe dementia in later stages. Coma onset approximately 20 hours after first symptoms appear and 12 hours after noticeable dementia. Coma onset will be considered onset of death. A period of sporadic cellular necrosis occurs which comes to resemble gangrene. Surviving tissue assumes its original function and is highly resilient. Red blood cells greatly increase oxygen storage capacity, resulting in slower blood flow and increased muscle endurance and strength. Nervous and muscular systems are unaffected by total organ failure for several hours. Metabolism may decrease to extremely low levels, allowing subject to survive for over 10 years without nutrition. High blood viscosity results in negligible blood flow from gunshot, puncture, and slashing injuries. Conditioned behavior, motor controls, and instinctive behavioral mechanisms are damaged, and cognitive abilities are severely retarded and erratic. Animals experience excessive brain necrosis and are inactive. Subject can adapt to its damaged nervous systems but is limited to basic physical activities, including standing up, balancing on two legs, walking, biting, grabbing, and crawling. Subject will energetically move towards sights, sounds, and smells it associates with living humans. Subject will attempt to ingest living humans if physical contact is made. Neutralizing fully-infected subjects requires significant cranial trauma. Hypothesis: None Observation/Visual Stimuli(Photos/videos): Here is what this all starts, I'm in med bay talking to some of my coluges, Then suddenly out of the elevator comes a LCPL, He is coughing heavily claiming to have breathed in SCP- 008. We immediately had a Med staff perform a Examination on him, with a Doctor, We got blood samples and done test's, HE WAS OK. We put him on medical leave and let him have 2 weeks of bed rests at the Gensec bunks. Next time we get him in for testing, 2 weeks later, His eyes were blood shot and His skin cells in his hand were dying. Then we checked his pulse, 10 BPM! He say'd that he felt like he had a fever, we checked his temperature, 10 Fahrenheit! We didn't understand how he was still alive. We then checked his pupils, We seen a parasite in his eye crawling beneath it. We then decided to see how strong his immune system was, we injected small pox into him, 10 minutes later, Complete and total paralysis. Then we see it, the parasite, R Fear immendintaly after seeing it ordered us to prep surgery, we performed surgery with little to no trouble and extracted the parasite, then more blood work, Afterwhich we put it in a cooler to be shipped off to Site-[Redacted]. See after indecent report to see the status of the package. Analysis and Conclusion: Possible cure for 008? We allowed 1 D 4293 to eat it, immidently after he said ''This taste like Dog Crap!'', Then D 4293 Started to complain about having severe aboinantly pain. We then proceeded to take him to the Medbay and let a doctor and med staff look and examine D 4293. The contents of his stomach showed to have, Icing, sprinkles, Batter, and Dog feces. We gave D4293 Tar, after which he threw up all the contents of his stomach. We told LCPL Tkoi to take him back to D block after. Further examination of the donut showed that the inside of it had been completely filled with Dog poop. Background Research: Turns out during the Site 19 CB, 173 hunted down 1 D class during the entirety of the CB, and tried to kill D 9341 non stop on every encounter. Hypothesis: 173 Enjoys killing Observation/Visual Stimuli(Photos/videos): None, CCTV Would not work correctly Analysis and Conclusion: 173 Enjoys killing because, well, I don't quite know yet, more research will have to be done Do your results align with your hypothesis?: In a way yes, but in the other way, no Approved by the Director of Research and Security and the Head of Research.
