Senior Researcher

Time in Research (Estimate):

2 weeks.

Why do you believe you should be in Research Command?(100 word requirement):

Command is a seat in which the branch see's as leaders, be it your junior researcher or even your senior RRA. A leader is someone who can not only make needed decisions for the branch and its members, but make them with confidence in the well being of the branch. As research has grown significantly in the past few weeks, there is a need for some direction and hands-on leadership that does so by both example and participation. My activity and standing in the research department, being a trainer and having trained a number of individuals since my recruitment and counting, allows me to be able to gather better feedback from the members of the branch that other command may not. My exclusivity to the research department is a testament to how consistently and effectively I can gather data on the state of the branch, and be able to relay this to the rest of command. My active hand in testing, be it group mass tests or even individual ones, lets me also incorporate our standing and interactions with other branches to report to command as well. In far more brief terms, I feel that I am a perfect fit because of how inclusive, hands on, and diligent I am in the department. I strive to stand out, and work to inspire others in the department to do the same - going above and beyond in my work, while being sure to help others improve and excel along the way through support and guidance.

One achievement that sets me apart would also be that I am the official winner of DoRS Sixx' test log competition for the best test log, showing I am already recognized among command.

What can you bring to the table that others can't? (100 word requirement):

I have already proven myself to be an immense asset to the populating of the research branch, advertising training regularly as well as guiding researchers down the path of testing. I excel in the documentation aspect, and can apply that to more than just roleplay reports in order to help strengthen the command and inner workings to be able to better help the entirety of the branch. I also have my age, and with that comes experience. I have been leadership on many projects, and can prove myself with actions and self advocation to be a massive asset in any team for whatever purpose may be thrown my way. My ability to adapt and improve upon something is also a unique trait that I find will be an asset to the entire branch, being able to look at what has already been done and be able to contribute to it in my own way.
Lastly, my actions and past speaks louder than words. I have shown to be able to go above and beyond, and given the resources and aid of fellow command - my diligence in bettering research as a whole will be notable.

What would you do to better Research and increase activity? (100 word requirement):

Activity of a branch is dependent on the activity & performance of its command, the example they are setting and how they encourage branch members to strive within the department. Though, increasing activity is indeed not where the bettering of research should end. A step I would take to better research and activity in general is to make us more 'eventful' and appealing. It is a big thing to keep in mind that people come here to enjoy themselves in their free time, and that free time can always be spent somewhere else they desire - that is just how people work. I would extend an olive branch, as other command has, to other branches in order to create fun PT's and events. I will , with the proper procedures, work with event team members/staff and other command to spice things up in the branch.

Other than hands-on collaboration with server staff and other branches, I will dedicate my time to be a striving force in the training of new researchers and help members of the branch come up with their own ideas. The most important thing a leader can do is point their team in a direction and lead them towards improvement, and that is what I hope to instill into the research department in order to develop future leadership.
