I, myself have already been confused by a outdated description in the store (see first screenshot), and there should be some updates to the MOTD and a few things in the store. How would this change better the server? - This would lead to less confusion. Are there any disadvantages of making this change to the server? If so, explain. - There are no disadvantages other than having to update the MOTD and store when something new is released, but you can't run a server with lazy people (no insult intended). Who would this change mostly benefit? - Anyone new to the server/anyone new to an update.
