mastermind14876
[SCP-999] ~ Research (10/29/2019) Rank: Junior Researcher Clearance Level: 2 List of Personnel involved in testing: JR William Mayhem, Security Officer Nef Level D personnel involved: Le Monk SCP: 999 Errors and/or safety hazards: The count of one D class taking a shot none. Question: What will SCP 999 Do when a D class is shot by security, and what will SCP 999 do to the security guard. Background Research: SCP 999 is an orange Blob that slithers across the ground it uses spores to use for grabbing things but in its case hunging things. Hypothesis: SCP 999 will navigate to d class that has been shot and immediate start healing him and or help calm him down. As for the security guard, I do not know what will the SCP do to him it is a test. Observation/Visual Stimuli(Photos/videos): N/A Analysis and Conclusion: At the start of the test I had the D class line up at the back of the wall I had brought over 999 with candy in my hand and had placed it on the ground. Once that was done and 999 was distracted I had ordered the security guard to shoot the D class. 999 at first did nothing so I had to say out loud of what had happened once 999 had notice he had done nothing and only went up close to him and just stared at him quite strange. On the other hand 999 had done nothing to the security guard as if he wasn't even there so I wanted to expand the length of the test just a little and have the security guard shoot him again and of course I healed the D class a little before so and instead of once I told him to shoot twice. 999 did so as the first time the guard shoot the D class and just went up to him and just stared. So I cam to the conclusion that this test was getting me no were so I ended the test. Do your results align with your hypothesis?: Absolutely No, this test was nothing but a failure and was hoping to see what might happen to the security guard after shooting the D class but ended up with nothing. Breen
Quite a common test, but people always have different outcomes, and ideas are bound to be done over again since 999 has been on the server for so long. I wouldn't consider the test a failure just because it didnt follow your hypothesis, that is the point of testing it is to see if you were correct. Conclusions go against your hypothesis all the time, it does not mean the test failed. Go off your results and expand on it, with new ideas. Would like to see some more originality with your questions. gog
Synari
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬DATE AND TIME: 11/2/2019 (7:03 PM)FROM: ███████████SWAIN(SYNARI)@FOUNDATION_05.INTTO: YOU (WILLIAM MAYHAM)SUBJECT: 'WILLIAM MAYHAM SCP-999 CONCLUSIVE TESTING' ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ EMAIL ENCLOSED: Junior Researcher Mayham, I've seen this test a time or two, all with different results. It seems as if SCP-999 is rather unpredictable, yet it doesn't stray into hostility or destruction in any manner. Your hypothesis was a fairly safe guess, squarely landing on what most of us would assume would happen. With this being said, it's unfortunate that your conclusion had to be the absolute opposite of what was inferred. Perhaps multiple tests are required under different circumstances and variablespresent. Consider if the D-Class had met SCP-999 before. Would you consider the SCP to respond and come to their aid? This might assist us in understanding the inner workings of SCP-999's mind better. Considering this, I would actually enjoy to see this test re-done by your hand, with multiple variables being tested such as the one I just previously proposed. This is an introductory level test, however that does not mean it does not deserve to be carefully planned and articulated. As for formatting, you did perhaps better than average. As a post-thought, I'm now wondering if the formatting requested upon our Research SOP details and asks for analysis and conclusion to be upon the same data point. To present your data better in the future, try to separate those two, as it is vital for the reader to break what had happened, and your conclusion. I've enjoyed the read, and if you have any questions or would like a supervisor for specifically this post-test experiment, please let me know.
