  1. I'm sorry everyone. I waited a while to do this under the premise that more free-time might become readily available, but as my school semester nears it is all too apparent that likely won't be happening. Upon delving further into research I had assumed I being a low-command wouldn't add much more to my duties, and would be flexible given my schedule. This was more of a commitment then I was prepared for. I must take initiative and put family and education before recreational activities, as next semester I'm changing colleges and living arrangements. This isn't to say I won't ever return. I really love the server, and I love how Research is very in-depth and disciplined. or striving to become disciplined. With this, I hold the Head of Utilization with my title. I find no other successor appropriate than Geeman. He's been pushing out many Utilization based tests since his Utilization training a month ago. I hope nothing but the best for the sub-branches and the branch of Research as a whole. In the event that Geeman doesn't wish for the title, or if I'm not granted the liberty to say, I'll let high-command say. I've loved making friends along the way, and really loved trying to take Research to another level as a whole. I wish you all the best, and hope to be back soon enough. Until next time, █████ ███████ Swain (Synari)

It seems as if SCP-999 is rather unpredictable, yet it doesn't stray into hostility or destruction in any manner. Your hypothesis was a fairly safe guess, squarely landing on what most of us would assume would happen. With this being said, it's unfortunate that your conclusion had to be the absolute opposite of what was inferred. Perhaps multiple tests are required under different circumstances and variables present. Consider if the D-Class had met SCP-999 before. Would you consider the SCP to respond and come to their aid? This might assist us in understanding the inner workings of SCP-999's mind better. Considering this, I would actually enjoy to see this test re-done by your hand, with multiple variables being tested such as the one I just previously proposed. This is an introductory level test, however that does not mean it does not deserve to be carefully planned and articulated. As for formatting, you did perhaps better than average. As a post-thought, I'm now wondering if the formatting requested upon our Research SOP details and asks for analysis and conclusion to be upon the same data point. To present your data better in the future, try to separate those two, as it is vital for the reader to break what had happened, and your conclusion. I've enjoyed the read, and if you have any questions or would like a supervisor for specifically this post-test experiment, please let me know. ILLAGER SCP-1048 CREATION' ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ EMAIL ENCLOSED: Supervisor Illager, This is a short but sweet experiment and posting. It was a wonderful read and it didn't exceed a point of too much writing or rambling. It caught my interest and likely caught the interest of other readers as well. I enjoy breaking the mold on several occasions for research, formatting and testing limitations being just a few. I believe you've done well here on both of those fronts. I'm not sure if I can completely call this an experiment considering there is no hypothesis or conclusion. This is just a documentation of an event that transpired under the supervision of presumably a researcher or whoever recorded it. As such, that makes it difficult for me to evaluate it. It's an experimental sort of recording. My only 2-cents is that it's rather short and lacks a little bit of direction or rather elaboration. Despite this, you've done a good job with this write-up. Do you have any intentions to continue these sorts of writings, or is this a one-off creation? I think it would be interesting to add continuity and create a follow up experiment about what you have written about here. I quite liked this overall. Keep up the good work. I would enjoy seeing this continued. I can find potential in this, in that this may assist in alleviating depression within the foundation, provided your hypothesis was more in line with your results. In future documents, try to explain your intentions with your hypotheses. Our goal is to further the foundation, after all. However, I do enjoy your formatting. It's enjoyable to read nicely formatted documents. Your writing is also fairly precise and there are few grammatical errors. This is good work for the most part. You also seem to write with clarity involving your observations. For your next test write-up, please try to indicate your writings as their correct titles, given your observation texts were denoted as 'Analysis and Conclusion'. Despite this, given your findings this could beneficially used for sedating individials at the very least. Perhaps this is not an exclusive effect to humans in general, and might work on other SCP's? Further testing is indeed needed. Be creative, and in the near future, when you gain the ability to cross test, please put this to the test! Please, keep up the good work. I will enjoy to see more from you. Your test was to see the duration of time between first interaction and complete metamorphosis? Pardon me if I misunderstand. Despite this, I do quite enjoy that you understand that a single transformation leads to inconclusive results given outliers. More testing is indeed needed and when SCP-049 is moved back to our site from Site ██, I would love to see a follow up test to this. I also find it curious as to why SCP-049 might've rejected converting the other two D-Class personnel. To offer insight as on improvement, I would have loved to have seen more. Elaborating on your findings gives major insight to the others that were not part of the experiment. Additionally, such gives room for further tests down the line, as this might inspire ideas in not only yourself, but others that read your document. I also believe exploring formatting and clearly defining your hypothesis so that readers without a doubt understand would be beneficial to further tests. Please, keep up the good work! 6. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Name: Synari Current Rank: Senior Research Time in Research (Approximate): 3-1/2 Weeks Why should you be research command, AKA what can you bring to the table that the rest of command can't? (100-word minimum): I'm on at rather odd hours for large lengths of time. I've noticed in these small hours of the day (8am-12pm) there are quite a few potential researchers that wish for training and several researchers that directly disregard the SOP. Unfortunately, this doesn't change depending on the time of day, as we all know. I've felt pseudo-powerless to unconscious JR's that have likely only skimmed the rules. Having the direct ability to adhere to the one-strike clause of JR's would aid in weeding out mingers and problematic researchers before repeat offenders have the chance to occur. I'm very by the book and enjoy being well-versed with regards to the rules and protocols. With this, I hope that when I train other potential researchers, they inherit an interest for the rules and laws we have set down, and aspire to climb the ranks in research as well. If at all possible, I would like to be approachable for any questions new researchers might have, showing me their direct interest to follow rules. What will you do to make research more active and better? (100 word minimum)(Tangible items like activity, expertise or the ability to run trainings, etc)?: However odd it sounds, I'm very excited to get to train trainees. Being coupled with the ability to strike the Junior Researcher(/s) that specifically I have trained, I will know precisely what was taught to them, without doubt. This places complete blame in their actions without room for interpretation. As previously stated, I find that it would be wise to nip these actions in the bud before they can evolve into more troublesome demons later down the line. I also enjoy formatting and organization, something of which I believe most people recoil at. I would enjoy assisting other researchers in aiding their formatting and writings to overall improve the experimenting and researching process. Ultimately, I feel as if I bring a different set of tools to the table. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
  7. Research Administrator W, At first I thought I messed up and misread something- because I believe I've heard this before. It seems only when SCP-457 reaches an unknown size and fuel source it doubles itself. Given the fuel sources were of minute quantities, I figured I would not include this in the report, in addition to the fact that this doesn't directly pertain to hypothesis or experiment in question. It's a variable I don't believe would have any effect on harnessing SCP-457's ability to utilize miscellaneous objects as a fuel source and therefore energy. Regardless, I appreciate the post, the thought, and the appreciation. -█████ ███████ SWAIN(SYNARI)

HYPOTHESIS: SCP-457 will stop at nothing to burn all that it is given. This is the very reason why even down to the paint used in his containment is fire-retardant. It will use anything at it's disposal for fuel, giving the foundation an opportunity to utilize SCP-457 as a self-sufficient incinerator with the added functionality of creating and storing energy. ACTIONS TAKEN BEFORE OBSERVATIONS: A Utility Engineer was contacted several days prior to the testing event. Their name will not be included in this document. They were tasked with the objective to design a power conductor to harness the energy created by SCP-457 much like the engine of a car. Additionally, several bits of trash and scrap were set aside (An old shoe, a tire, residual plastic from food-stuffs, and Dr. Bright's chewed mechanical pencil) and one corpse of a deceased D-Class personnel was withdrawn with the intention for being used as fuel. The engine was set up during containment cleaning the day prior to the experiment. PREFACE (FROM █████ ███████ SWAIN(SYNARI)): There have been several efficiency tests conducted with respect to SCP-457 even within recent time. I found it beneficial to the foundation to compile such documents and delve further into the application of SCP-457. If accommodations are made post-experiment there is potential to retire the incinerator and utilize SCP-457 instead. The energy could additionally be used financially, if not to further the site's self-sufficiency. ⚬ Red-Orange text denotes pre-experiment titles and records. ⚬Yellow text denotes context sensitive document specific information. ⚬Blue text denotes experiment yieldings and observations. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ (READERS NOTE: HIGHLIGHTED TEXT IS DEEMED IMPORTANT TO THE DOCUMENT) OBSERVATION A-1: The engine was set up in SCP-457's containment and the fuel was placed within it's proper compartment. SCP-457 was cornered and threatened by fire-extinguishers until it was coaxed into a separate temporary containment where the engine was attached. SCP-457 seems to comply and was very eager to begin being fed fuel. With the door closed, SCP-457 quickly began burning the assorted objects placed within the engine. The objects were observable from the glass window in the side of the engine. Usually these sorts of objects have moderately high melting points and require more energy to burn than to utilize. SCP-457 burned through these undesirable bits of trash with ease. Their melting point was assumed to be an average of 350°F taking modern day incinerators anywhere from 2-5 minutes to reach and maintain. SCP-457 reduced the 'fuel' in the container to smoke in nothing more than 15 seconds. The experiment was reset, and within the container a cadaver was placed. A human cadaver burns anywhere from 1400°F to 1800°F to completion. This is the same temperature used for cremation, and thus SCP-457 would need to reach this internal temperature to burn the subject. It had no issue stripping the corpse to bone within a record time of only 2:31, and finally reducing the bones to ashes about 3 minutes later. CADAVER AND MISC. OBJECT REMAINS: Several fragments from either the cadaver or trash remains. This indicates that this method is not 100% efficient with it's incineration process. REMAINS OF CADAVER POST ORGANIC MELTING: For reference, this image was taken about 4 minutes into the cremation process. As observable, the bones began to atrophy and melt. OBSERVATION A-2: Finally, the D-Class personnel was coaxed into SCP-457's containment and into the engine. Surprisingly, the D-Class considered the test liberating, explaining that he would be more useful in death than he ever was in life. Conceptually, a proper structure would need to be built, and force would required to be used for personnel. Clearing the containment, SCP-457 showed no remorse in using this human as fuel, as if they were the experiment prior. Humans who are still alive have a harder time burning, considering 70% of their bodies are water. It was expected for the personnel to take longer to burn, but be more efficient with it's burning process. This controlled burn took about 8 minutes, yet yielded more energy than the controlled burns previous. This is not ideal however this fact should be noted. ██████ ███ █████ ████ ████ ████████ THE FOLLOWING IMAGE WAS REDACTED: As indicated above, the body burned and followed standard crematory steps. Bodily fluids were evaporated over time, likely attributing to the direct cause of the difficulty of the burn. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ANALYSIS AND CONCLUSION: SCP-457 not only possess the ability to burn 'trash', but additionally can cremate a human (dead or alive). The energy expunged can be harnessed and utilized, alive subjects burning for longer and therefore releasing more energy. With this knowledge, SCP-457 can be better utilized by burning problem personnel and the trash of the facility, in turn supplying the site with a pseudo-renewable energy source or financial boost. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ █████ ███████ SWAIN(SYNARI) RESEARCHER SITE 05, ███████ ██████████████ ALL EXPERIMENTATION IN THIS DOCUMENT CONFORMS TO THE SOP AND HAS BEEN APPROVED BY THE HEAD OF RESEARCH.

Upon the time of observation we could not conclude what was taken, as the subject did not experience any pain. The Subject commented on a noticeable shift within their lower abdominal region. Pardoning the Subject to check, they confirmed that their genitals were still in tact without change. The Subject was brought to the Medical Bay and scanned by Doctor ███████. The following X-RAY showed no difference in a regular adult male skeletal structure. The following CT Scan of the lower abdomen revealed a missing kidney from the Subject. Inspecting the topical skin around the area of the missing organ, there were no signs of fibrosis, indicating no signs of external surgery or entrance of any kind. Additionally, the urinary tract following up to the missing kidney and beyond to the bladder was perfectly connected, as if the kidney had not existed before. SUPERIOR VIEW OF THE SUBJECT'S ABDOMEN: As indicated in the image above, the Subject still is in possession of their left kidney. This view is from the ground upward. ANTERIOR VIEW OF THE SUBJECT'S ABDOMEN: In junction with the image above, the Subject's left kidney remains. This image is a frontal view, a more obvious depiction of the lack of organ. OBSERVATION A-2: The Subject was returned to the site of SCP-1162, showing reluctance. Their hammer was confiscated as reduce their objects in the possession back to zero. The Subject tried again, retrieving their severed kidney. They kidney was still warm and likely could be returned to their body with full functionality. They paused cautiously as they felt along their body post retrieval. After checking their genitals several times, and their softer body parts only once, the Subject expressed that they felt no pain, nor any shift within their body cavities like prior. Once again they were brought to the medical bay and scanned. Their X-RAY revealed no change in the X-RAY that was taken less than an hour before. Their CT-Scan still revealed no change from the previous as well. At this point, their extraneous kidney was placed within an organ holding container, on ice. Finally, an MRI was performed on the subject, to be assessed and compared to the MRI taken before the experiment had taken place. No major change had taken place within reasonable observation. MIDSAGITTAL VIEW OF THE SUBJECT'S CRANIUM: As depicted with the image above, there are no abnormal protrusions or abnormalities in any sort. Despite this, the Subject appeared to become irritable and had physical twitches. These changes persisted even post-amnestic doses. From this we infer a change in the mental chemistry of the subject. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ANALYSIS AND CONCLUSION: SCP-1162 possess the ability to withdraw bodily tissues and fluids from the subject. This can be coerced from SCP-1162 by reducing the amount of objects on the operator's person to zero. This ability shows no immediate benefits unless this variable can be controlled further.
