SCP 1048-D

Name: Dr Original (Emma Bolthmore) and Jr Malzahar

Rank: Researcher, Junior Researcher

Clearance Level: 2

List of Personnel involved in testing: Jr Malzahar, Research supervisor Iillager, MTF █████, MTF█████, ██████████

Amount of D class involved: 1

SCP: 999, 1048

Errors and/or safety hazards: When 1048 makes versions of himself, they are always hostile and effects of the experiment could be extremely hazardous to foundation members

Question: If 1048 made a version of himself out of 999 would it be hostile, if not, would it have any good effects

Background Research:The more anomalous behavior of SCP-1048 was not observed until approximately 7 months after it was originally secured. It is hypothesized that the subject is able to construct crude replicas of itself using various materials, by a process that has yet to be observed directly by Foundation

staff.

Hypothesis: 1048 will create a version of himself out of 999 that will be non-hostile toward foundation members.

Observation: A pound of jelly was cut off using a military grade knife from the underbelly of SCP 999 and given to 1048 to begin creating the version of himself. After about a period of 10 mins, 1048 showed Dr Original his creation. On first observation, the creation, which will be classified as 1048-D from now on, seemed to be a vary translucent orange. 1048-D proceeded to hug Jr  Malzahar. Jr Malzahar recalled that he felt extremely happy during the hug after the testing had finished. As testing proceeded 1048 began to watch as if as interested as foundation personal were. As testing continued, a D class personnel were brought and told to act verbally aggressive toward 1048-D. After three insults were thrown at 1048-D, it proceeded to stick its hand threw the D classes stomach and pull out a vital organ. After seeing this, Dr Original attempted to pick up the creation but 1048-D seems to slip right in between the cracks of Dr Originals hands. 1048-D was then given candy and asked to follow, but it refused. An MTF squad member resorted to attempting to pick it up in a reinforced steel box and succeeded. It was then decided that 1048-D should be taken to Euclid and Safe Temp containment. Around the medbay, 1048-D seemed to faze through the box and into the floor. 1048-D then proceeded to exit from a wall nearby. Jr Malzahar then attempted to pick 1048-D up but stumbled back in pain after having 1048-Ds hand fazed through his. 1048-D was then picked up in bowl and taken to temp containment in HCZ. This test was then handed over to Supervisor Illiger. Dr Illager And Jr Malzahar found blood within SCP 1048-Ds body, Jr Malzahar began to take samples and found that the blood seemed to be peanut butter or C57H104O6. When researchers tried to give 1048-D a spoonful of peanut butter, it became aggressive towards Supervisor Illiger and Jr Malzahar and had to be terminated without incident.

Conclusion: This test was very insightful into the SCP 1048 and SCP 999 interaction and I believe there should be more testing to be done on SCP 1048-D as there were notable positive effects. 1048-D seemed aggressive but was very kind at times and peaceful as long as it wasn't given a reason to be aggressive. In short, I think it would be a fun challenge for the foundation staff to attempt to find a way to contain this thing, because this is for sure a keter class SCP due to his ability to faze through walls, which is incredible. The fact that this SCP can be duplicated by SCP 1048 and SCP 999 is exciting and scary, as if we can find a way to use them as an antidepressant. It could be incredibly useful, but let's say SCP-1048 builds an army and we’d be screwed, because there's no possible way of re-containing all those bears.

Dr Original

Do your results align with your hypothesis?: No and yes. 1048-D was friendly but was extremely deadly when threatened. The up sides were nice but using that thing around the foundation is a bad idea if we can’t find a way to recontain or even know why it acts this way. I would say that this should be looked into by the Utility group as an antidepressant and development should do some more intelligence tests to find the reason behind this behavior.

This is a very interesting test. Truly thinking outside of the box while taking elements from both SCPs. Keep up the great work as it is more than what I expect from you. I would like to see what else can be constructed.
