Basing Rules Question

RTMM

Recommended Posts

A while back, a suggestion was made to simplify and make the basing rules more enjoyable. This suggestion was not addressed for a considerable amount of time but was eventually accepted. Since then, an SMT message was added to the suggestion, stating that progress of the suggestions implementation would be commented on the suggestion thread. However, to this day, there have been no comments or progress implemented from the suggestion. My main question is, will this suggestion move forward and finally make the basing rules fun and simple?

My honest thought is that SMT is probably doing something more important or just simply haven't gotten to it yet. Just my thoughts.

Basing rules is a very complicated subject. One rule change could upset a lot of players and honestly, it's mostly trial and error which isn't currently worth it at the moment. That doesn't mean we won't look at changing the rules in the future and it is something I'd like to do but at the current moment it isn't on our list of priorities.

Then I have a fair suggestion that could satisfy both sides of the community. I suggest high command of each dept and family heads speaks in a teamspeak channel and the crims explain what and why it should be changed, write up a summary of what was discussed/agreed upon. I think first it should focus on minor changes first likeadding a prop or two into the basing rules and if that isn't enough for either sides then they can meet up again and debate on what can satisfy all sides. Honestly I'll take ANYTHING than the current state of basing rules.
