Scenario questions:

Select any two of the following four questions to answer for this section. Please note, in the scenario questions we are not expecting perfect answers. We are assessing your critical thinking skills, your ability to use the staff handbook, and come to reasonable conclusions.

Q1: How would you handle someone that is Mass RDMing and when you bring him/her to an admin sit all they do is curse at you?

A1: In such a scenario, I would remain calm and professional, issuing a formal warning for the Mass RDM. Simultaneously, I would jail the player to prevent further disruptions. If the player continues to be uncooperative, additional sanctions, such as a temporary ban, may be necessary if the player continue his bad behavior.

Q2: You are involved in a staff sit that involves 5 different players. The players begin to get frustrated and the sit becomes very toxic and unproductive. What would you do in this situation?

A2: In such a situation, I would take a measured approach to de-escalate tensions. Firstly, I'd calmly address the players, reminding them of the importance of a respectful and cooperative environment. If the toxicity persists, I might separate the involved parties into different channels temporarily to allow everyone to cool down. After giving them a brief break, I would resume the sit, emphasizing the need for constructive communication. If the toxicity continues, I might involve higher-ranking staff members to mediate or provide additional perspectives.

Q3: In your opinion, what is the best way to handle a situation involving a player that clearly does not care about the punishments they are receiving?

A3:I would first attempt to understand the underlying reasons for their behavior. Communication is key, and I would engage with the player to discuss the specific issues they might have. If the disregard persists, I would escalate the sanctions in accordance with the punishment guidelines. Consistency in applying consequences, combined with efforts to address the root cause of their behavior, can contribute to either a change in attitude or, if necessary, the removal of the disruptive player to maintain a positive gaming environment.

Q4: There is a player abusing a known bug, and he has been reported to staff. He swears he followed the server rules when you talk with him. What's the best way to handle this?

A4: I would thoroughly investigate the situation, reviewing any available evidence, server logs, or witness statements. If the bug abuse is confirmed, I would issue a formal warning, adhering to the punishment guidelines. Clear communication would be essential to explain the violation, emphasizing the importance of fair play and adherence to server rules. Encouraging the player to report bugs instead of exploiting them, while maintaining a professional tone, would contribute to a constructive resolution.
