What are you suggesting? - As stated by title, a lower necessary player count for scps self breaching, because as of right now there is no reason to hop on an SCP the majority of the time without being actively requested by research or CI, since you aint gonna get to do anything otherwise. I like GL man, but we hit 70 players for 5 minutes today, during a meeting, and dropped back to the 50's within half an hour. Thats the one time we've reached 70 that I have seen at any time of the day in a fat minute.
How would this change better the server? - Activity for quite literally every branch on the server. Genuinely NO ONE does not benefit from this. MTF get to do something besides run circles in LCZ and pop some level 14 d-class in the chest every 10 minutes, CI gets a new factor to consider and utilize in raids or espionage, sec have a new threat wandering around that can deal with escaped d-class and gois so they can hold d-block easier, D-class will get to do more besides killing sec and existing given the necessity to feed SCPs to placate them, as well as being able to use the breaches to their advantage to get around distracted opponents, maintenance will ACTUALLY have something to DO besides just building weird structures and armoring gensec, medical can deal with scp related injuries, the list goes on, there is NO ONE that will not benefit from this.
Are there any disadvantages of making this change to the server? If so, explain. - 0. None. No tangible downsides. Considering how much downtime all the branches have, they wouldnt get overwhelmed, and even if they did, christ we have 4 fucking MTF branches, I think the site will be fine.
Who would this change mostly benefit? - Everyone.

My only problem with this is wording, what is and isnt considered "interference" needs to be more narrowed down, because I will definitely spend more time in sits than in raids. -

I have liked all the new maps so far, but this is just...this is just yoinking another servers map and slappin some shit on it. Lemme break it down for yall.
1: Conveyance. The maps we do have are in random ass spots, and usually not actually angled in the direction the map shows, so you have to look around the area to orient yourself, as well as signs being very few and far between to tell you what is where and what is what. Entry level EZ? Is that the one with or without the gates? Sure, we can jam random fucking signs on everything, but like....why should everything be vague?
2: Layout. Why does every zone have 2 floors? What connects to what is super fucking vague. Ez and LCZ should both be one floor. HCZ being multi floored makes sense, its got the bulk of the fuckshit in it. But why would LCZ need to be two stories? same with LCZ? There is too many elevators which makes mass movement a pain in the nuts, as well as the general lack of overall cohesion in terms of navigation. Sure you could eventually learn it through playing a bunch, but like, with the older maps, you would know go this way to do this thing, follow this path to go this way, even guessing would get you a distance. Now? I get lost in single areas for ages, without any real opportunity to navigate further without just getting lost. Even people who RECOGNIZE the map from its source, or shit like that, get lost. Its frustrating as hell.
3: Redundancy. There is dead ends, doors leading nowhere, pointless rooms and props. There is so so SO much unused shit, and while yeah, I figure it will be used later in the case of at least like...1/3 of it, there is a bunch of other rooms and shit that just has no purpose for existing, the umpteenth empty room with nothing in it, and all the same old same old shitty scp cells that all look identical. There is a lot of nothing, and too much that just has no purpose. For example: why does CI base have a back entrance? Isnt it like, right into their spawn, making it USELESS for an MTF raid? They would never leave out of it for a raid or any reasonable reason, because honestly, the time it takes to get anywhere would make it worthless.
4: Consistency. Next to NOTHING is consistent. Some rooms look like they had all of 15 seconds spent on them, others look like they added a good month onto the development time. Locations seem random, what is and isnt relevant is wildly variable, and overall what can and cant be done is just...anyones best guess. Why is there a randomly super detailed garage with movable objects and shit like a car lift, but some flagship scps get a shitty retextured box? Why do the meeting rooms feel like concert halls, but CI now has to cram into an area that makes a small town community college dorm room look spacious? Why are there some windows that are one sided, then others that arent? Some doors that open right there, others from a console a mile away, even if the stakes or location for their opening and closing is the same?
I like the overall vibe of this map, I like the way it looks, feels, but there is so much just awful about it that I think they need to take a step back and either A: fix these glaring issues while running an old map in the meantime, or B: try a new map altogether. Its not like this one is some built from the ground up masterpiece, its like a fuckered scrambled version of civil.
and we dont even need to talk about d block.

1: Rp fucking sucks. We dont HAVE rp, we have to force it. It got so bad that medical, a dying branch, had to be the only place that could have medkits other than medical units, but then la di da i have a CC in every fucking branch and could just hop on and off throwing my medkits to the boys, or just keepin' it for myself and being my own medic.
What rp can you truly do that isnt /me /roll and thats good enough? I wrote test logs and only one was actually done in rp. What happened in game wasnt even rp, it was a floating chair that we threw at the walls for 10 minutes cause it was fucking hilarious, because thats how bored research got. Being RFA was tons of fun, and had good rp, but oh boy, hand selected exclusive force moment.
SFs are fucking stupid. Most are either A: Not lore compliant, and just seem like edgy powertrip OCs, or B: Shouldnt even be a hand picked force or SF? Like why is RFA handpicked, half of what research DOES in lore involves its agents on site and in the field. We are just givin exclusive perms to kids and teens who haven't had power over anything greater than what they want in their lunchbox that day, and now we let em boss around people just tryna play a video game. Here is the SFs we got:
E4, the generic edgy lone wolf group that lore wise is super cringe, but is mainly just a free-pass to minge with the other E4 and do dumb stuff. I mean, sure. I dont have any respect for pretty much any SF, and I think out of all of them E4 are given the most pointless power, but thankfully, the current E4 kinda just do sped shit, which is funny. So, respect to them.
D4, human tumors....robots...cyborg...whatever the fucks. They have the most sped weakness too, which I wont say here, but I know, and its like, cmon, of all the things yall edgy motherfuckers arent immune to, its that? Its a moot point, cause the scenarios that INVOLVE that problem are literally non existent. We are a combat focused server nowadays, but even that can be a kick in the fucking nuts with hit reg and lag and shit.
Donor store is kinda...inoffensive to me, to be honest. Some shit is good, some is bad, the rest gets you more shit to do, end of story. Not really concerned about anything there, I picked up some stuff, seems fine, worked well, good enough.

The server itself needs more depth. The map, is just kinda... i mean it aint bad, its just, it just is. Thats it, its a map. Maybe it was cool to all of us when we joined, but like, its really just halls rooms halls room and nothing more interesting than that. The server is unoptimized, every simple thing seems to make it lag, to the point where shit gets denied because everyone assumes it causes lag. Its not the biggest secret to figure out the costs of running a gmod server, its not like you cant look it up and find shit about it. Even if this was super pricy, does it not make a bunch of money? The server is nothing if not profitable, to say the least. The daily highest donation is waved like a flag, and the top ten of all time wave their banners high on the store main page. The home page of the store, the FIRST thing you see when you click the link? Highest donations, the profitability being swung like a flag for all to see. At time of writing, the highest donation for the day is 250$. This doesn't show who else donated though, does it? Who was the last highest donator today? how much did they spend? I got outclassed when I bought my fucking CLAN within an hour for how much someone spent.
At the end of the day, this is a gmod server, this game is sped. We need to stop catering to pussies and idiots, and start catering to a bigger playerbase. No, someone isnt gonna die because I called my friend a tard, no a black man casually sayin the n word to a friend isnt gonna end the fabric of reality, all these slurs and shit, what the fuck ever, words are words.
All in all, GL has to shape the fuck up. I dont play much anymore, and it was a rough burn out. I gave this server weeks of my time, months even, been around for over a year, gave it plenty of money.
Gl should strive to make a server where I dont have to look back at those investments and wonder if it was worth it, or to more often than not, regret it.

Sleuth was not handpicked, it was just thoroughly trained for, you knew the rules, and restrictions, and you were trusted with a good SUB BRANCH of a job. It had unique perms, responsibilities, but no stupid powers and needless secrecy, no hidden smoke and mirrors shit, you had a job, you did it. It wasnt hand picked, you met the rank requirement, got your training, did your job. If you fucked up or abused the shit, you would get removed from it. simple as that. Thats how it should be with stuff like that. Yall gotta go back to the good ol days, sleuth always better, and it could so revive RnD to make it non hand picked again.

tomato, as former DHOR, you of all people should be aware just how little shit research has to do. You can write test logs...which, isnt on the server. You can maybe test on an scp, but you either get some 8 year old from the middle east who barely understands you, some minge, or someone who is hellbent on simply getting out to cause chaos rather than rp. So you have to grab another researcher to do the rp for you, which is just...uncomfortable. What are our options for scps that dont require anything but you?

My favorite rp experience, adverting to a server and having to bribe them with money to convince them just to be present for a test. The best one, /roll to figure out scenarios and outcomes I already thought of and now just have to figure out if it works. /me injects ketamine into a fucking lizard, like what am I gonna do thats genuinely interesting that isnt just me typing?
Ya got the scps whos gameplay aspects you can play mythbusters with, like how you can make sleeper agent 610's by using 035 and 610 together to give someone their gear and infection capabilities, you can try and speedrun the pocket dimension, but like...294 is the one thing where you can go to it, and DO something variable. It aint much, but we are fucking eating away at options here.

I think EOI's lives are hard enough with the sheer metagame they're drowned in. If the foundation cant have their 3 mtfs on site, their security force, and whoever catches and reports the one suspicious person wandering through base solve the spy problem, they deserve to be spied on. With the amount of nerfs EOI has been drowned in, I think its fine.
Besides, when bunks are a thing, and the necessity of testing with various dangerous creatures and substances, why wouldnt their be wardrobes and such in places for staff to access?
Its a GMod server, not an in depth RP. In SCP:CB Maynard managed to cripple the entire site with one small plan and a flick of a switch. Didnt seem too hard for him to literally finesse the security of the foundations biggest site for ci. Foundation has every advantage. If they get fucked on, they deserve it for not pressing said advantage.-

could at least TELL me what I did, even though as far as I can tell, I haven't really done anything. you'd think havin spend hundreds of hours on the server, and over a grand in cash on it, i'd be owed an explanation of that at the very least.
