  1. BY ORDER OF THE OVERSEER COUNCIL THIS FILE HAS BEEN SUBJECT TO LEVEL-4 CLASSIFICATION = LEVEL 4 CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED = Lore Name: Vox Velvet Rank: Junior Researcher SCP: SCP-008 Question / Idea: What is the phycological behavior of instances of SCP-008-2 when put in close contact with each other in a controlled environment? Background Research: SCP-008 is a complex prion which presents itself as a "zombie virus". SCP-008 has a 100% infection and lethality rate. Instances of SCP-008-2 are extremely aggressive, the host of the infected will attack other beings to spread the virus. Hypothesis: With our knowledge of viruses today, they will do whatever they can to spread themselves and allow themselves to thrive in the natural world. So I think each instance of SCP-008 will be docile toward each other, and may even protect each other to ensure a more rapid rate of infection. Observations (What Happened During Test): D-5487 and D-8036 were retrieved from the Prison Sector without incident. (Click names for indepth profiling) Nu7 2LT "Ash" was self-assigned as an Escort. No incidents during prisoner transport. D-5487 and D-8036 entered the airlock of SCP-008 and followed instructions with no issues. (Note: Both inmates seem distressed, saying they were going to die and bid each other farewell.) SCP-008 biocontainer was opened, and the disease rapidly took over the two D-Class. SCP-008-2(1) and SCP-008-2(2) showed no interest in each other. It's unknown if they even knew the other existed. Nu7 disposed of the corpses efficiently with no incident. All precautions were taken. Evidence/Visual Stimuli: Analysis / Conclusion (What Could Of Caused The Results): Both instances of SCP-008-2 completely disregarded the existence of the other entity, but seemed to act aggressively toward the window where I was observing them. It is possible that the host of this virus doesn't possess any sense of sight, but rather a sixth sense or enhanced sense of smell in order to find other suitable hosts. I thought that they would acknowledge each other by protecting the other, but both instances prioritized finding another host. This, in hindsight, makes more sense than my initial theory. This test was a pain in my ass to conduct. I may attempt to prove or disprove more theories of mine in the future, such as testing their senses and/or their reactions to other SCPs. For now, I want to put my focus on other SCPs... Was Your Hypothesis Correct?: My hypothesis was correct in the sense that they would act docile to each other, but incorrect that they would protect each other.
  2. MTF should only be called to D-Block in emergency situations which Security is unable to handle. If this is not the case, then the commanding officers of either branch should be kicking the MTF out of LCZ. If this isn't happening, then it's not a problem where a rule needs to be changed, it's a problem where the Commanding Officers need to pay more attention and put more effort into ensuring that is the case. I said this in another post, but I will say it again, this is suppose to be a super-max containment facility. It's not meant to be easy to escape, although D-Class escape to HCZ more than once on a daily basis and destroy Security in the process. I understand there's balance for gameplay purposes, but banning MTF due to the negligence of other MTF or their Commanding Officers seems unfair to everyone but D-Class. Your suggestion was already suppose to be the case, and managed by Commanding Officers. This is more of a situation where the Officers of both branches need to be reminded of their duties. -Support
  3. Any class can be abused and minged on, and that's often the case for most donator classes. Take Dr. Bright for example, it's a rare sight to behold to witness a Dr. Bright who takes it somewhat seriously. Although, having a Checkpoint Job whos sole purpose of existing is just to check IDs of people passing through seems redundant. The job would rarely ever be used, and would take away the opportunity for any of the MTF or Wardens who feel like doing it at that time who have been specifically trained and disciplined. -Support
  4. The entire balance of the server and D-Class will not be disrupted by an extra person, maybe two, entering to assist with major riots. This is suppose to be a super-max containment facility, it's not meant to be easy to escape or fight against. D-Class already have massive advantages over MTF and always break into HCZ on a daily basis. This change does nothing but increase the reality of the situation while still allowing balance where explosives cannot be used against D-Class. This is not to mention that Explosive Specialists are very limited in numbers, and I rarely see more than 1 on at a time. +Support
  5. There's really nothing to gain from this change. Honestly, it would just add confusion for communication between Security and MTF. As MTF, we have our own comms because the operations we conduct are often sensitive (GOI Raids, SCP Coordination, Interrogation, AOS/KOS orders, etc) compared to Security. /security comms are there for security to discuss operations usually relating to LCZ or D-Block without cluttering the entire Foundations comms, and even then it's not really used that much to be considered a cluttering problem for MTF. I have yet to witness an MTF or Security complain that comms clutter up their chat. Overall this feels like a useless change which wouldn't bring anything, and just seems like Security wants to compare to MTF by getting special comms which they do not need. (No offense). -Support
  6. SCP-106, gameplay wise, is meant to be designed as slow, tanky, but lethal. SCP-106s speed is meant to be slow, which is suppose to be balanced out by having extreme strength and the ability to walk through solid objects. 15 seconds I feel is too long to fully support what his strength should be. Not to mention the awkward situations you can be in, needing to wait 15 seconds just to take someone who's right infront of you. Realistically, why wouldn't SCP-106 take that opportunity? I think atleast 10 seconds would be more viable, if not 5. +Support
  7. It'd be nice if 966 was actually challenging to contain for Nu7. As soon as we see the inner door open, we can call thermals. At that point, 966 may as well be mutated D-Class. It's hard to be stealthy as 966 when you can't close your cell door. If your door is open, Nu7 will go in and check if you're there. You can't close your door, so it's stupidly obvious when you're breached. Not to mention the issues of metagame, but that's a small point compared to what I just mentioned. Overall, +support to some sort of buff to make him more viable to play as in this community.
  8. Lore Name: Vox Velvet Rank: Junior Researcher SCP: SCP-049 "The Plague Doctor" (http://www.scpwiki.com/scp-049) Question / Idea: How will two instances of SCP-049-2 interact with each other? I plan to observe their behavior and makes notes based on the personality of the D-Class sent in. Background Research: SCP-049-2 is a reanimated corpse of any organic lifeform which SCP-049 has preformed surgery on successfully. During normal research, they are typically braindead until provoked or until SCP-049 orders otherwise. During a containment breach, SCP-049-2 is noted to be extremely aggressive, presumably due to 049s orders. Hypothesis: According to previous research, all instances of SCP-049-2 should be docile and mostly dormant in a controlled environment. Observations (What Happened During Test): SCP-049-2(1) was previously D-9434, a homicidal and aggressive inmate known to cause problems for security. SCP-049-2(2) was previously D-8273, a docile and shy inmate who usually was not involved in any form of riot. When turned, SCP-049-2(1) was extremely aggressive immediately after being turned, and began scaling the wall. SCP-049-2(2) stood in the background dormant, which is the usual behavior of SCP-049-2. Both instances were terminated without incident. Evidence/Visual Stimuli: Analysis / Conclusion (What Could Of Caused The Results): The aggression of SCP-049-2(1) is most likely a result of his previously homicidal and aggressive behavior. After further examination, the frontal lobe was lightly effected. This could lead to some personality traits being present, if strong enough, during the transfermation of SCP-049-2. Was Your Hypothesis Correct?: Not entirely, but somewhat.
  9. Lore Name: Vox Velvet Rank: Junior Researcher SCP: 173 Question / Idea: How efficient is SCP-173 at traversing complex corridors with dead-ends to find its prey? Background Research: SCP-173 has been previously noted to be able to roam the facility when breached to find and discover humans to kill. However, it has not been fully proven whether or not 173 has a sixth sense of sorts to know the exact layout of the facility and location of other humans. Hypothesis: My Hypothesis is that SCP-173 will aimlessly roam until a human is found, and doesn't really have any special sixth sense to discover other peoples locations. Observations (What Happened During Test): SCP-173 hit a couple dead-ends before eventually finding the hidden path which led to the Class-D. It did seem to know there were humans nearby, but didn't know the layout of the maze. Evidence/Visual Stimuli: Analysis / Conclusion (What Could Of Caused The Results): SCP-173 may be able to sense when other humans are nearby, but I can conclude that it does not have any sixth sense to traverse complex and unexplored layouts. Was Your Hypothesis Correct?: Yes.
