Dr Bright players already minge so hard, giving them a swep like this would be incredibly daft decision on our part, I think.
I really love the idea from a lore standpoint, but from a server standpoint, I believe this would just cause headaches for many players.

Nah for real tho gonna miss you man, you were a great person to know on the server and I always appreciated the helpful insights you had into things going on behind the scenes. You were a great member of SA and did a lot for the server! Definitely better see you visit us again, you're always welcome back.

Space is a luxury in the new D block, this is true. It's very easy for Safe SCP Players to get in the way and be annoying in there.
However, the appearance of an SCP in d block is exciting for D class and gives them additional engagement / distractions from Security.
We should most likely just crack down harder on disruptive behavior in D block , like maybe make punishments harsher for Safe SCP players minging in there vs. other parts of the facility

Ive been worried that this particular aspect of 096 rules could be abused by the 096 player, and this thread confirms my worries.
We'd probably be better off altering the rule slightly to remove the 'behind' phrasing, and just make it so he can be bagged when he's not in a rage state, or something similar

Just because you do something and it got laughs before, doesn't mean it's still not against the rules
You really shouldn't need a staff member to explain at length to you why minging on open comms is against the rules

I feel like the knives have landed in a pretty good state as they are now, I don't tend to see them relied on too heavily over guns or vice versa

As much as I would LOVE a flamethrower swep... it's very unlikely to happen. xD
Many of these proposals didn't go through because they were way too huge in filesize or just impractical for other reasons. As you can see most of the filesizes for these ideas are over 50MB which is huuuge. We also can't expect SMT to delve into these mods and "weed out" all the unnecessary extra proponents to trim down the filesize either, that's a huge amount of work and may cause the mods to not work properly if certain components are removed, etc.
Honestly the most likely things we could salvage out of these old suggestions would be the Graffiti swep + Graffiti cleaner swep to give D class & Maintenance a bit more interaction, and maybe the Blacklight Models. (I dont think those models look that great though personally)
Even the graffiti swep is super unlikely. I can just see it now, random D class joining and drawing very undesirable things with it..

I can only see this leading to further conflict and being very hard to mediate who was in the right in these situations.
It's hard to think of solutions for this that wouldn't invite Metagaming, as simply asking if an SCP is available in PM or OOC would obviously show that you guys are intending to come take it or test with it during a raid.. hmm.
Maybe we can use Maynard or a Sleuth to go use RP to keep an SCP available ahead of time for CI to come in and test with it during their raid?
