Test Log #1; 066 and Hydroacoustics

Test Idea: Submerging 066 in water, and their response to Hydroacoustics.

Background Research: Water can distort and change how sound is perceived, 066's reaction to the name Erik is primarily based on sound.

Hypothesis: 066 will either be completely un-affected by the distortion of sound in water, or the distortion of sound will alter the name "Erik" enough to avoid recognition.

 

Observations (what happened?): SCP-066 did not respond as though the name Erik was stated. Submersion in fluid also proved a useful form of containment, as the material 066 is made of was too saturated for it to move. After the test, 066 was removed from the container and showed no signs of hostility.

Grammar: 25/25

- Grammar was fine, if there are any issues they are minor and I cannot find them.

 

Quality: 9/10

- A really solidly written log. There's no gaps in information and it's all very straightforward. The only thing that bogs this log down is the lack of a unique visual style and the extremely short length. Both of those will be expanded on later.

 

Formatting: 0/5

- While everything is labeled, there is absolutely no formatting in the log which made it a little difficult to read. While creating large google docs is far from necessary to receive full marks, a little bit of text size variation or bolds, underlines, italics, or even strikethroughs can really help make your document more visually appealing and easier on the reader.

 

Test Idea: 25/25

- Solid idea, I don't believe I've ever seen a test idea like this run on 066 and it was a really creative way to use real world logic against it. Using normalcy against an anomaly, that's what I like to see baby.

 

Length: 0/25

- Painfully short. The video does not, unfortunately, add much to this test log either. Still, good on you for including one as most people forget to include even a screenshot in their logs. I would recommend running multiple tests back to back or creating a story around a test log like this in the future. The test itself is a fine idea, but it simply did not fill out a log unfortunately.

This is a bonus point when I notice one has done their research into the background of the SCP/stories.

Not only did you keep it accurate to lore of 066, though next time I encourage you to include a description for anyone unfamiliar with the SCP, you use real world logic and a completely normal procedure to develop a new and effective way to contain the SCP. Honestly, if you find a way to repeat this test and expand it into a larger document/new containment procedure for SCP-066 I could see it finding a place in the Wanderer's Library. All of that is to say I am thoroughly impressed by your idea and you have really earned this bonus point.
