Your Operations Advisor Overseer, has informed you there is a group of insurgents collecting foundation data at a field operating base on the surface. They are armed and well secured. How would you approach it? (100+ words):

I would first request any known information about this unknown group of insurgents. I'd then begin to perform reconnaissance on their base from a distance. Before leaving the site I'd communicate my task over the radio to fellow research field agents present. They would know that in the time span of ten minutes I'll report back over the radio. This is as a contingency so that if I am kidnapped I would not radio in progress updates so they would understand something has gone wrong.

The information I'd try to attain without being spotted is a head count on how many individuals are guarding the base, how many are within the base, any chokepoints at the entrance, and any weak points in the structure of the outpost could be entered through. In addition to this, I'd wait in hiding to see any of their members exiting so their uniform can be known. All of these details would be photographed and later, once at a safe location, they'd be compiled into a comprehensive report for my Operations Advisor Overseer so that he may choose a course of action going into the future.

There is a strange SCP that calls himself the “targeter”. When the name of another individual is said within earshot of the “targeter” the “targeter” will teleport to the individual that has had their name said, and run off. How would you suggest the foundation approach apprehension and / or termination of this individual? (100+ Words): Firstly I will cover the scenario of apprehension and then secondly, a scenario for termination. I'd suggest a team of two MTF and one Research Field Agent be formed and one Class-D pulled from D-Block for the containment process. The Class-D subject's name would need to be recovered and given to the MTF present. A chamber with soundproofing walls would need to be established for this test and the Class-D subject put inside of it. One MTF would remain present at the viewing chamber with the researcher. The other would be sent to locate the "targeter" and speak the name of the Class-D in earshot of it.

Because the "targeter" only runs once teleported to the person, they should not be able to escape the containment chamber. As for a termination scenario, I believe using the incineration chamber instead of the containment chamber would suffice. The termination scenario is a simple solution but one that would be very probable to work. Though this may take multiple attempts as the "targeter" could be possibly flame-resistant. As the SCP does not have any lethal repercussions to a fail in testing, this can be repeated with different attempts. Such as in a chamber filled with water and a dead Class-D, it is within the realm of possibility that the one who the "targeter" teleports to does not need to be alive.

An abandoned camp site has been discovered on the surface, hidden incredibly well within the brush. There are documents, newspaper scraps, as well as an old laptop with unknown data being transferred to a suspicious I.P. address. How do you react? (100+ Words):

Firstly I would take most interest in the old laptop and examine the operating system and files on its hard drive. After I'd upload the hard drive's contents onto a thumb drive. I'd open the computer's command prompt and ping the suspicious I.P. address (e.g. >ping 192.168.1.1) to test whether or not that I.P. still has internet connectivity and is receiving packets from the computer. If there is, I would then attempt to trace the physical address of the I.P. address. Additionally I would try to detect if it was an I.P. address from a VPN server. The success of this trace can result in us learning the location it is being sent to, and upon further research when cross-examining it with GoIs it could allow us to create a list of suspect groups.

As for the documents and newspaper scraps I would first get them photo-copied so that they may be on record. Afterwards I would examine them for any ciphers or correlation in information between each other. For example if the newspaper scraps are all regarding the same or similar subjects it would lead to the idea that the person(s) there were investigating that topic. Some ciphers I would try to identify is keyboard shifting, vigenere encryption, caesar shift cipher, and simple vertical cipher, as these are the most common ones used in written cryptology. All of this information would then be compiled into a document and sent to my superiors.
