7. Dispute: I'm not sure if this is the correct place to put this or warn removal? Either way I feel like I've been treated unfairly.

I was warned for server diss. The server has been incredibly laggy recently, I'm really not sure what changed. But upon joining I have to wait up to 10minutes for the annoying "Reconnecting" screen to go. I live in the UK and have a download speed of 150-200 (upload 50-70) as well as my hardware is good enough to run VR at 120FPS consistently and I'm having FPS and latency issues. The FPS I can deal with but the latency is not acceptable and is incredibly annoying. Because I was annoyed and felt I could voice my frustration along with some others that are complaining in OOC.
I am almost instantly muted and brought. [GL] Adam tells me to not server diss. (I was the only one to be muted and brought)

During the sit with Adam I acting aggressively because I couldn't fully understand him as every 10 seconds that Red reconnecting screen would pop up. Now I know I wasn't the only one experiencing this as people were still complaining about it in chat.
I asked him "Am I seriously not allowed to voice my opinion?" before he could answer I said "Forget it, give me the warn. You're not going to listen anyway." he gave me the warn and I was kicked for '20 Warning Threshold' I joined back and again was faced with the constant reconnecting page (many of the chat was complaining too) I was then brought by Adam where he said I need to receive a ban for my 20 Warnings (bare in mind that only 3 of them I had received this year) I again complained that I couldn't understand him because I was disconnecting and he said "well I've got a fix for you" and then banned me for a week.

Personally I do not believe that this was a "server diss" as I was only voicing my opinion and frustration. But apparently free speech isn't allowed, apparently I need to praise the server for it's laggyness? Am I seriously not allowed to complain in OOC about my issues with Latency? I guess not.
However, there's nothing in the rules about server diss, only to not use foul language in OOC which is a given. So why was I warned?
I wasn't offending anyone, I wasn't targeting anyone?
I was complaining about my annoyance with the latency issues, which the majority of the server was also experiencing.

I feel I've been treated unfairly as I've been warned (and in result: banned) for something that wasn't even against the rules. Even though multiple of the other players on the server were doing the exact same without repercussion.

I wasn't the one who muted and brought you, I'm pretty sure it was Buck.

I wasn't the one who handled your sit.

Buck said in admin chat that he needed A Senior Admin for A 20 warning ban, which I need proceeded to hop on the admin job. Then Buck brought you and told you, you would be receiving A 1 week ban because you have reached 20 warnings. (Doesn't matter if they are old or not, you still reached 20 warnings) Which I then proceeded to ban you.

I believe you have got me confused with Buck, because I didn't handle your sit. All I did was ban you for reaching the 20 warning threshold which is valid because you had reached 20 warnings. Shown here: https://gaminglight.com/bans/player/76561199109894357

Gaminglight is an LLC registered in the US, i.e. a private entity and not government.

In the US, the 1st Amendment only:

"The First Amendment only limits governmental actors—federal, state, and local" (David L. Hudson, ABA.com)

You can be muted for whatever reason and the 1st amendment doesnt apply.

Your claim of free speech, is invalid.

However, that isn't the reason for the ban. You have 20 warnings. Completely Valid.

You've completely ignored my point. My point isn't that I have freedom of speech, it's that the reason I was warned wasn't fair or even backed up. I'm simply using freedom of speech to point out how dumb the reason for my ban was. The admins can ban whomever they want for whatever reason they want. However, I can see that many of the admin's have to be fair in order to keep the server working.

The fact that there isn't anything on the rules about "server dissing" suggests that this is just an admin with a grudge (no offense to the admin personally) I can understand that they're passionate for the server and might've been offended but there's no need to punish me for that. I get harassed in game for being British all the time. I'm offended, yet I don't act on it because in the end it's just meaningless words.
I can also understand that the admin was trying to protect the server's image, but in the end this comes out as a shallow, petty thing to do.

Complaining about lag in chat literally helps no-one, at all. This is a 100 player server on a 15 year old game/engine with 10+ GB content, lag is expected, play at your own risk. You have obviously played other Gmod servers, so stop trying to loophole the rules in saying "its not in the MOTD" - if you disrespect the server, expect that we won't act so kindly to it, common sense.
