recon Posted February 7, 2021 Share Posted February 7, 2021 (edited) Your Full Name & Rank: Senior Researcher recon Why I want to pursue specializing in studying biologically hazardous materials: I want to pursue the study of biologically hazardous materials because ever since I joined the foundation’s research branch I have always been trying to get a greater understanding of the SCPs we contain at the site and being a hazardous material researcher would help me learn a lot more about the SCPs. The SCPs I always wanted to learn more about were biological SCPs like SCP 049, SCP 008, SCP 035, and most recently, SCP 610. I like studying these SCPs a lot more because specifically 008 and 610, these SCPs are not entities and are more viruses that want to grow and expand. As a hazardous material researcher, I would devote most of my time to studying these SCPs to attempt to form a medicine or anti virus to neutralize or at least stop the spread of these SCPs if they were to ever breach containment. documents pertaining to biologically hazardous SCPs: SCP 049 test(s) Name: recon Rank: Researcher Who else: SGT BK, MTF E11 2LT Nenea SCP: 049-2 & 049 What were you trying to find out?: What is the anatomy of SCP 049-2? What happened during your experiment?: SCP 049 was given 1 D class to be turned into SCP 049-2. After turning the D class into an instance of SCP 049-2, SCP 049 agreed to give up SCP 049-2 to foundation staff. SCP 049-2 was terminated and its body was brought to the medbay for an autopsy. SCP 049-2’s autopsy showed that the creature Is almost fully hallow on the inside with no internal organs or blood vessels. I conclude that SCP 049-2 is only made up of skin, muscle and bone. What happened during your experiment?: 1 Class D personnel was given to SCP 049 to be turned into an instance of SCP 049-2. SCP 049-2 was then taken out of the room and brought to SCP 610 for testing. SCP 049-2 walked into the room with SCP 610. SCP 610 approached SCP 049-2 and wrapped its flesh around SCP 049-2’s legs. SCP 049-2 seemed unaffected and after an estimated 3 minutes of exposure, SCP 049-2 had not been affected by SCP 610. This could be because SCP 049-2 is already dead flesh. SCP 008 test(s) Name: recon Rank: Researcher Who else: N/A SCP: 049 & 008 What were you trying to find out?: Is there a link between SCP 008 and the pestilence? What happened during your experiment?: I went to SCP 008 and took a small sample of it in a little vile. I then went to SCP 049 and asked it if it knew anything about SCP 008. SCP 049 responded with no, it had never heard of the SCP. I explained to SCP 049 that SCP 008 is a virus that reanimates people. After the explanation, I gave SCP 049 the vile of SCP 008. SCP 049 examined the vile and after examination, threw it on the ground. SCP 049 became aggressive reporting to me that the virus had nothing to do with him. Maintenance was called to clean up SCP 008. Hazmat suits were worn through the entirety of testing. I conclude that SCP 008 is in no way linked to the pestilence. I asked SCP 049 to turn the D class into an instance of SCP 049-2 for testing. SCP 049 agreed on the condition that he would get SCP 049-2 back at the end of testing. After agreeing to the terms, SCP 049 turned the D class into an instance of SCP 049-2. SCP 049-2 was then taken to SCP 008’s containment cell. SCP 049-2 was placed in the room with SCP 008. SCP 049-2 was inside the room with SCP 008 for approximately 2 minutes with no visible signs of change. I conclude that SCP 049-2 is not affected by SCP 008. SCP 035 test(s) Name: recon Rank: EXP Who else: Mass test group, 1 class D personnel SCP: 035 & 049-2 What were you trying to find out?: Can SCP 049-2 be tempted to put on SCP 035? What happened during your experiment?: 1 class D personnel was given to SCP 049 to be turned into SCP 049-2. After SCP 049 turned the D class into SCP 049-2, SCP 049-2 was extracted and moved to SCP 035’s containment cell. SCP 049-2 was placed inside of SCP 035’s Containment cell. After an estimated 1 minute, SCP 049-2 approached SCP 035 and placed SCP 035 on its face. SCP 035-1 then turned to face the researchers and decomposed shortly after. I conclude that SCP 049-2 will be tempted by SCP 035. Would love to hear your feedback on my application!
