SCP-096 is a humanoid entity appropriately 2.38 meters in height. Subject shows very little muscle mass, with preliminary analysis of body mass suggesting mild malnutrition. Arms are grossly out of proportion being 1.5 meters long. SCP-096 goes into a fit of rage if someone looks at SCP-096’s face the subject henceforth is known as SCP-096-1.

Pretest

Question/idea: If someone looks at SCP-096’s face while in a pitch black room, will SCP-096 still rage and kill the target? Also if someone develops “night vision” by sitting in a dark room will SCP-096 still attack the target.

 

Hypothesis: I think SCP-096 will not react because personnel wont be able to see SCP-096’s face.

 

Planned Procedure: 3 D class are to be used in this experiment two of which are to be kept in a dark room for a set amount of time. One D class is to enter SCP-096’s containment chamber without any previous exposure to darkness and is to look at SCP-096’s face. If SCP-096 does not react then the testing will continue, however if SCP-096 does react testing is to stop immediately due to the unnecessary loss of life. The other two D class are to be kept in a pitch black room one of which will stay in said room for 30 minutes the other one for an hour this is to have the D classes eyes adapt to darkness and be able to observe their surroundings with less light. If all 3 D class survive then the test is to be declared a success and this tactic should be implemented for use with MTF squads. D class are to be brought to medbay and are to be amnestisized.

 

Test

Observations: SCP-096 was left in its containment chamber in pitch black conditions. Class D was inserted into the containment chamber and was instructed to look towards the sounds of crying. Class D looked at SCP-096 and was instantly terminated. Testing was immediately stopped to prevent further unnecessarily loss of  life.rr

 

After Test Report

Analysis/Conclusion: SCP-096 appears to know if a subject has looked at its face even though the subject cannot see its face entirely.
