(75 word minimum): I've seen a general understaffing of MTF units and would like to help out. I'm also really interested in containing SCPs since I enjoy being given really hard challenges for me to overcome, and the most challenging branches in my opinion are MTF units that contain and the branch of the CS. In-game Name: Reesus MacAc Rank:Medic Idea: Can 1025 still affect you if you are visually impaired Basic Description of what you will do: Check if someone blindfolded can still be effected by looking at 1025. Hypothesis: It won't affect the Class D, since it needs to be read to inflict a disease on the subject. Observations (can be a video or audio): The Class D was surprisingly cooperative. Detailed description of what happened during the test: An MTF unit of the Nu-7 task force handed me a D class and assigned Gensec Officer Stalkerov, a private that seemed quite knowledgeable in regards to his division and regards to matters with the CDC. I took this from a remark he gave to the MTF about "Fulfilling a post" and a remark to myself to correct my name tag. Inside the CDC, I informed the officer that the Class D needed to be blindfolded for the entirety of the test. It didn't create much of an issue for the officer, since the Class D was already blindfolded. Despite being blindfolded, the Class D designated for this test managed to be transported quite rapidly, taking roughly one (1) minute to reach the outside of the object's containment chamber. Once outside, I instructed the guard to unblindfold the Class D so that he may see the layout of the room and be able to pick up the book and hold it to his face as if he were reading it. This worked, and the Class D managed to hold up the book to his face. Being unable to tell if it was even upside down or not, he was engulfed in flames, as he had opened the book on that page and held it to his face. An autopsy of the body later showed no vital signs, and that the flames that engulfed the now deceased subject stopped affecting him once he had died. Background Research: Read about 20 activity logs regarding 1025 and the wiki page on the SCP. Hypothesis: Blindness will be the most common, with regenerative being the least common. Observations (What Happened During Test): Evidence/Visual Stimuli: After about 30 tests and an entire week of this incredibly big project, my team and I have seen more than 100 diseases that 1025 may give, and I'll be sharing the likelihood of each disease from the testing conducted on SCP-1025. In no particular order, 22/102 Class-D subjects suffered from Blindness 15/102 suffered Paralysis 14/102 suffered Regenerative 17/102 suffered Spontaneous Combustion 11/102 suffered Asthma 12/102 suffered Cardiac arrest 8/102 suffered Appendicitis 3/102 suffered Lung cancer I would also like to note several comments upon 1025 that may prove useful in further testing of the SCP that were noted down upon our experiments. I will start with the most important, SCP 1025’s blindness will revert over time, allowing the Class D full vision after about 10 seconds of the effect. It is imperative not to euthanize the subject. However, upon regaining sight, the subject will not be able to read the book again. I am still unable to decipher why this happens exactly, but it is worth noting nonetheless. The effects of paralysis given to the subject will also make the subject completely unable to move in any way and completely unable to continue the test. The effects of regenerative cancer are not immediate and do not make the subject invincible, the effect is quite slow and will be at best a slight help to the subject. A good way to spot each disease if the Class-D refuses to tell you what disease he suffers from are the following, ordered from easiest to hardest: If the subject suffers from spontaneous combustion: The Class D will immediately die from being incinerated by the effects of 1025. If the subject suffers from Cardiac arrest, they will immediately drop dead without producing fire. If the subject suffers from Paralysis, he will be unable to move his head in any way and will most likely panic, so it is rather easy to tell when the subject suffers from the disease. If the subject suffers from blindness, talk to them, if they’re able to look at your direction while you speak, they don’t have the disease. If they aren’t able to turn your specific way, and are moving their head wildly, they suffer the disease. If the subject suffers from Regenerative cancer, hit them once. If the subject regenerates the damage, then he has the disease. If he does not, the subject will still be able to continue the test. If the subject suffers from Asthma or Appendicitis , attempt to make them run and jump. If they have Appendicitis, they will be unable to jump or run, but if they have Asthma, they will be able to jump. My team members and I will be adding further notes to the report as we collect them all here. I did know the rules before I had joined the server. I just didn't specifically believe the posting of a link to a research squad discord of the same research team would be considered as self-promoting. Since it only really worked as an easier way to organize a test report me and a few other people are working on. To Parkland 27, the idea of this forum was to list every 1048 test with the objective of making it easier for other researchers to contrast their results with the ones listed here. This also serves the general purpose of opening a discussion about the subject matter which has created a great interest personally. It did not end up being an issue, although I believe that is something we should keep note of. They hugged, and then 1048 touched 066's eyeballs. When asked if he liked it or not, 066 replied with a yes. When asked to draw the insides of this forest, he began to draw what appeared to be SCP-999s and SCP-066s, which were inhabitants of it. SCP-999 repeated the motion on SCP-1048 once again, then SCP-1048 showed that it was angry due to it being slimed on by SCP-999, SCP-999 jiggled, probably to make SCP-1048 happy, then SCP-999 tried to eat SCP-1048, but SCP-999 failed in this endeavor. SCP-066 instantly showed aggression and casted his sound effect towards me. The effect also affected SCP-1048. After that SCP-1048 showed a large amount of stress and anger. Once the d-class opened the cage he hit 1048 once. afterwards 1048 started to attempt to kill the d-class. I decided to let it go on for a few more minutes until the d-class had no strength. Afterwards I opened the door to let the d-class out of the containment zone and 1048 followed. In this test I concluded that SCP-1048 doesn't have any kind of emotions. He uses cute poses, pretends to be sad or any other emotional means to manipulate Staff and personnel to give him what he wants, or to make people think that he is defenseless to take their ears. Afterwards, the CD was instructed to come closer to 1048, which I permitted to continue the test. The CD obliged, but SCP-1048 used this opportunity to take his ear. And the CD was escorted out. The Class D was later escorted back to the Class D block after the door was shut on 1048, which tried to follow the man to continue attacking him. So far, this only stands as an early report because of the very small amount of sample size used in this experiment. But, it does seem likely that this result will repeat. What happened during your experiment? I instructed the CD to talk nicely to the SCP before making him enter the CC. The CD stepped up to 1048 and asked "How you doin". SCP 1048 reacted with drawing a smile on his face at first, until the CD started to not comply with the directions he was given. At first, he continued to be polite but rapidly began to ask 1048 to release the binds he was in. 1048 in reaction to seeing the man binded, drew a smile on his face with a marker that was assigned to him for recreation. Having seen SCP-1048 refuse his orders and taunt him, the CD began to insult SCP-1048. After a bit of berating by the CD, the Skip began to try and close the door to it's CC. I opened the door twice, before waiting to see what he wanted to do. After leaving a few seconds of time for the CD and SCP to be alone, the SCP attempted and succesfully removed the CD's ears. Afterwards, the CD was escorted back. I believe however, that this opens up an intriguing possibility, that SCP 1048 can be distracted by a subject for long enough that he forgets to harm the subject or simply stops caring. I want to find out what would happen if a CD doesn't stop talking for a long time to SCP 1048. My hypothesis is that SCP-1048 will get frustrated and attempt for us to retrieve the subject instead of attempting to harm him. What happened during your experiment? Exalura, the CD, and I proceeded to 1048's CC, but after finding 1048 inside of 005's CC because of what I assumed to be a long story regarding a different test, we proceeded to do the test there. The CD stepped up to 1048 and started to generally ramble about the situation 1048 currently held himself in, commenting with a slightly comedic tone about SCP-1048 finding himself inside of a bucket, standing up in 005's box, and generally existing near him. 1048 seemed perplexed at the CD, taking several minutes to even react to his actions. After awakening from a CD inflicted stupor of garrulous conversation, the SCP attempted several times to gag the CD with his hand, but after repeatedly failing, he started playing with a toy nearby to attempt to drown out the CD's talking. My hypothesis ended up being correct this time, as the CD was in SCP-1048's CC for about 20 minutes without a scratch. I'll certainly do this test again to confirm it's results.
