Stevie's 501st Commander Application 1. What is your IGN? (In Game Name) : 501st Vice Commander Stevie 2. What Regiment are you applying for? 501st Legion 3. Why do you want to be a commander of this branch? The Commander of the 501st is a position that I have many reasons to desire. The 501st is the only battalion that I've been consistently interested in. My motivation to support and assist a battalion has mostly come from a place of reluctance in other regiments, but in the 501st I find myself willing to do it just for the fun of it. Additionally, I have seen the battalion go through slow periods, and I would like to prevent that from happening again. When I first joined the battalion, it was very active and well respected on the ship. We would average double digit numbers and would be constantly doing SIMs and engaging trainings. About the time that I got officer, things started to slow down until eventually the battalion was barely supporting itself. We would only a handful of troops on daily, usually officers or command. Activities would be few and far between. The 501st didn't feel like it had originally. I felt like the battalion was dying and didn't know if it would ever be like it was again. Luckily, it has come back to a healthy state and although it is not as good as it was originally, it is getting better everyday. As Commander, I will do everything I can to prevent a "dark age" from coming back to the 501st so that the troopers don't feel the sense of hopelessness I once had, but also so that the reputation and image of the 501st can be as proud and strong as ever. 4. How much game time do you have on the server? 928 hours as of the writing of this application. https://www.battlemetrics.com/players/781788587 5. What is the Main Purpose of a commander for a branch? There are multiple duties and responsibilities of a commander, both simple and complex. The first of foremost objective of a Commander within a battalion is to ensure the success of the battalion by making sure that there are always consistent amounts of troops on, and that those troops are always left entertained and satisfied with their position in the battalion. This can be obtained by doing flag ups often; These pings focusing on incentivizing troops to get on with promises of promotions, rewards, and activities. It is also obtained by making these activities fun and interesting. I know many people within my battalion find themselves wanting more missions and unique trainings rather than mindless PVP. I believe PVP's are good for two reasons: Building relations with other battalions, and being used as activities for higher player counts when more complex missions and PVE sims cannot be conducted. Other than that, missions and PVE's are generally more helpful and productive. In addition to more hands on work, it is also important that a Commander can delegate tasks to troops so that there are new PVT's coming in consistently, and activities are done often. This entails making sure NCO's are doing tryouts, Officers are doing SIMs, etc. A good Commander should also be enforcing rules of the server and the battalion, and controlling troops from acting out of hand. They should be punishing and possibly removing those who break the rules, and reporting those to staff who take things to extreme levels. This also involves enforcing SGT+ to be in TS at all times, enforcing quotas, and dealing with those negatively interacting with members of your battalion. Finally a good commander should be well known and considered a positive influence on the ship. This can be obtained by interacting with other battalion's activities and inviting them to your own, dealing with transfers appropriately, and being generally friendly with all other commanders and battalion leaders. Although there are other duties, a commander should promote activity, be a voice of discipline and structure, and be on good terms with all other battalions, maintaining a friendly and inviting aura around both yourself and your battalion. 6. Why should we trust you to be a commander? : I believe there are many reasons to trust me for Commander, and that my positive attributes and skills out weigh my flaws. I believe presence on the server is mostly positive and that I am good at working with others. I also and stern and firm with my troops and try to be a voice of reason and guidance. I also boast several past experiences that not only show that multiple people have trusted me with many roles and the duties associated with them. My former roles on GL include, Medical Overseer Commander in the Imperial Navy, Squad Lead (CPT) in the Inferno Squad, and Moderator/GM VI. All of these roles mean that multiple people have trusted me and believed me to be capable of managing several different roles both RP and not on Gaming Light. All of these roles have given me great experience and have grown me to be a leader and VCMDR today. I believe I can be trusted to be Commander because of my positive reputation in GL, my vast and useful skillset, and my former roles on the server. 7. How often can you be Online? : 3-8 hours a day 8. Do you have any Warnings? (What for?) : I have 1 warning on PoliceRP for RDM x1. It was born mostly out of ignorance rather than malicious intent, but I do regret it and it shall never happen again. Thank you for reading my application, I appreciate it!

1. What is your IGN? (In Game Name) : 501st HVYAL MAJ Stevie 5031 2. What Regiment are you applying for? 501st Legion 3. Why do you want to be a commander of this branch? Although I could probably go on and on about why I want to be the next Vice Commander of the 501st, I will try and condense my reasons into a paragraph as to not bore whoever reads this. The first and most important reason I want to become Vice Commander is because 501st is pretty much the only reason I am still on the server. When I was a child I remember having such a great enthusiasm for Star Wars which sort of died out over the years. Being in the 501st has gotten me excited about the stories of star wars and has brought me much joy. Another reason why I want to become Vice Commander is because, simply put, I have seen the Legion really inactive and I want to stop that from happening again. Shortly after the new map was released, the Legion had a very inactive period where pretty much the only people on were officers and commanders, and even then we would average 2-4 players. As Vice Commander, I want to do anything I can to keep the battalion just as fun and interesting to new players as it was to me on my first days on the server, and make sure it is as active as possible. Finally, aside from the roleplay and activities of the server, the 501st has been full of some great people, some gone, some still around. I want to make sure that the battalion maintains its friendly and inviting aura that enticed me when I joined. As Vice Commander, I want to be able to make the 501st Legion one of the best battalions aboard the ISD, both for other battalions, but also for the great troopers in 501st. 4. How much game time do you have on the server? https://www.battlemetrics.com/players/781788587 As of this application, I have 805 hours on the server, most of it spent in the 501st. 5. What is the Main Purpose of a commander for a branch? Although there are many wide reaching responsibilities, I would say that there are a few high priority duties of a Vice Commander. The most important and prevalent duty of a Vice Commander is to ensure that your battalion is operating at full capacity and is reputable and respected. A Vice Commander should always be making sure that numbers are as high as possible and that those on the server are fully entertained and competent. Both SIMS and trainings should be conducted as frequently as possible and those activities should be a good combination of fun and education. Fun SIMS are always welcomed and should be happening, but if possible, SIMS should be shooting to teach troopers new skills and abilities that they can use in the future. Troopers should also be able to conduct there duties efficiently and responsibly, meaning that they should be informed of how to act in a manner that will allow them to have fun, but also not disturb the reputation of the 501st, or the relations between the 501st and other battalions. Finally, a good VCMDR should be able to effectively discipline troopers when they make a mistake. I believe that sometimes troopers do have no intention to roleplay and simply need to be removed. However, I believe that many people are just messing around just need a stern warning. I know many people on this server who started off as minges who are now command members. Discipline should be conducted in a stern way that clearly states what the trooper did wrong and what they should work on, without just yelling at the trooper and making them want to quit. In conclusion, a Vice Commander should make sure that there respective battalion is both efficient, effective, and respected by others on the server. 6. Why should we trust you to be a commander? : There are many reasons I should be trusted as Vice Commander. My current rank of HVYAL MAJ as helped me develop a certain skill set that will prove helpful if I am allowed the rank of VCMDR. Organizing and maintain a sub battalion is different from managing a whole battalion, but I am sure comes with similar duties, responsibilities, and necessary skills. For example, as HVYAL, I have contributed to updating documents and reorganizing them in order to make them better for both the trainer and the trainee. In addition, I have had to evaluate people for promotion in a way that isn't just looking at dates and stats, but rather by judging someone's character and ability to lead. I think promotions should be given out to those who deserve it, and those who are competent enough to handle the role. As a Major and member of command, I have worked with the commanders and Vice commanders and discussed things such as promotions and ideas for the battalion. As Vice Commander I hope to continue this communication between the command team to make the battalion great. In addition to my 501st life, I have a good amount of past life's that contribute my reputation. Around 2 months ago, I was a MO Commander in the Imperial Navy. I am also a former Senior Moderator, GM VI, and Inferno Squad Lead (CPT). I left all of these lives in my own volition and was not removed from any of them. All of these former lives and roles demonstrate how multiple people have trusted me with multiple high ranking positions and the duties that accompany them. In addition to all of these quantifiable reasons, I believe that a majority of the people I have interacted with on GL will tell you that I am competent and capable to perform the duties of VCMDR. I also believe that my connections will lead to stable and friendly relations between as many battalions on the ship as possible. My skillset and reputation around the ship means that I am a very capable and trusted candidate for the position of Vice Commander within the 501st Legion. 7. How often can you be Online? : Depending on my schedule, I should be able to get online for anywhere from 3-8 hours everyday. 8. Do you have any Warnings? (What for?) : I have 1 warning on Police RP for RDM. This is a legitimate warn, however I believe it was the spawn of ignorance rather than maliciousness. Nothing like this will happen again. Thank you for reading my application!

What is your In Game Name? Stevie What is your In Current Rank? Specialist What is your Agent Name? High Rise How Long Have You Been In Inferno Squad? Since 5/25/21, 3 days before the making of this application. Why Do You Want To Become An NCO? [75+ Words] There are many reasons why I want to become an IF NCO. Being an Enlisted, I feel as though I am not actively doing anything to help Inferno. If I can become an NCO, I can fill my aimless time walking around with tryouts or trainings for the squad, and I wouldn't be wasting my time nearly as much. In addition, I can also be a guide and mentor for enlisted which would be great to improve the overall quality of the enlisted and prove myself as a leader. In conclusion, I would be able to help the battalion and feel like I am spending my time doing important thinks that are helpful to the battalion. How could you assist Inferno Squad Command with this rank? [30+ Words] The main and most important thing that I could is keep a steady supply of enlisted coming in by doing tryouts every time I am on and whenever it is asked of me. I could additionally make sure that the enlisted know the role of IF and what they need to do to prove themselves and maintain the reputation of the battalion. How many strikes do you have? None. What Qualifications could you bring too the Inferno Squad Command Team? The most relevant and supporting qualification that I bring to command is that I am a former IF Squad Lead. Due to technical difficulties I left and returned shortly after. Although unfortunate, I believe that it has left me with motivation to climb the ranks again and help inferno along the way. Additionally to these qualifications, I am a command member in the 501st Legion and have proven myself on multiple occasions by leading and helping both enlisted and NCO's to be the best troopers they can be. I am well aware and capable of the duties of a Senior Agent, and will have no difficulty completing and maintain my responsibilities as such. Do you understand that if you are Accepted, you will be on a 1 Week Trial Period? Yes. (Failing the Trial Period will result in a demotion) Thank you for reading my application.
