Issue with those is not everyone calls them exactly that. Which can lead to confusion at times. Some say:
Gate A CP, Garden CP, 087 CP and LCZ Armory CP
others say
Director (Offices) CP, Medbay CP, EZ Medbay CP and 432 CP
All of those are out of my personal experience and it does lead to confusion at times. While maybe "Checkpoint Alpha" would be a bit overkill, one specific way of referring to a checkpoint would certainly be better than it currently is in my opinion. -

It's much less of headache to find out more about the situation for everyone and as especially, as a E-11 main, this defcon system helps a lot.
The system is extremely easy to learn. If you sit down and want to learn it, you will.
It also makes a lot more sense in RP as DEFCONs are used for the IRL Military and have entirely different meanings. -

The reason why I am saying this is becuase that we already have a comms addon.
What we could do is create a /comms that is /open.
Which every job (Besides scp's/d-class) have access to.
So that will prevent the raiders from being able to spam in the /open comms constantly.
It would also prevent d-class from metagaming/failrping by looking at those comms to try and figure out what was going on.

It doesn't make any sense for D-Class to have access to any comm channels, so this is a good compromise I believe

Got an issue with MTF metagaming? Then report them instead of bitching about it on the forums. That's what I do when CI metagame me when I'm on pathfinder during supply raids.
Just because some people break rules it doesn't make sense to remove the rule. That literally defeats the purpose of rules.
If you're allowed to guard CI Base entrance, it's perfectly reasonable for a top-secret foundation that contains things that easily can end the world or universe to have at least 3 guards stationed at entrances.
This suggestion is a problem with individual players, not with the rule itself.
