8, I'm semi-active on roster as at anytime I could take a multi day break to do college work.

 

7. Why do you believe you should become a Maintenance Command member (100+ words)?

I believe that I would be an excellent fit for the Maintenance Command position because I enjoy being a utility member and participating in roleplaying scenarios. In my current role, I am active in maintenance and often play jobs like Helper Bot and Containment Specialist, which allows me to assist in protecting the site from a non-combatant role. As an engineer, I would be committed to writing logs and assisting junior maintenance who are new to the branch.

What excites me most about this opportunity is the chance to apply my skills and experience in the engineer role to contribute to the growth and success of the maintenance branch. I am passionate about being a part of the utility branch, and I am committed to improving it in any way possible. I am confident that my enthusiasm for the work, combined with my expertise, will enable me to make a valuable contribution to the team.

8-1. A Utility Trainee has escaped the training room and is refusing to return, how would you handle this?

As a engineer my mood and tone portrays the branch from a first impression standpoint, so I will be patient in my reactions. I will first ask Utility Trainee why they are not cooperating and try and understand the situation, the way they respond will steer my next reaction. If the trainee is disrespectful e.g. Slurs and minging. Firstly, I will give them a verbal warning in the same tone as I was before and not raising my voice or sound annoyed; if they persist I will get higher command involved to ask for permission to hand out punishment like a "Do not train". If it was an accident or a one time thing I will stay calm and keep the same tone to help them with the training.

 

8-2. Some enlisted members have begun RDMing each other in bunks as a way to pass time, what would you do in this situation?

I would politely tell them enlisted to stop RDMing each other as it could them striked by other command members. Additionally I will give them better ideas to pass the time like going on a patrol or doing roleplay scenarios with like fixing door systems.

 

8-3. A Junior Maintenance is breaking multiple SOP rules such as improperly using tools and disregarding DEFCON rules, what are your next steps?

I will give the junior maintenance a verbal warn and tell them what the tools should be used for and explain the DEFCON rules, if they are persistent to do these things I will get them striked/demoted
