Hypothesis: If a test subject is exposed to SCP-012’s parchment, and subjectively removed and given amnestics, then the strength of the scroll will still affect daily life, without the subject knowing why.

 

Observation: A d-block personnel was brought in with an armed GENSEC escort, along with two fellow researchers in tow. The subject was brought to the LCZ testing area, wherein he was put inside SCP-012’s chamber. The subject reported voices of PAST LOVED ONES and reported visions of the script being played by an orchestra in MOSCOW. Before touching the paper, the subject was asked the following questions, and the following answers are listed.

Q: “How do you feel about this scroll”

A: “I don’t know dude, it’s a piece of paper.”

 

Q: “Do you wish to continue what’s already on it?”

A: “Like add my blood? **** no, are you ****ing insane?”

Analysis: The subject was put into contact with the paper. As he started to touch it, the heart rate sensor skyrocketed to over 130 BPM. (Resting for a human being is around 70). After starting to scratch his wrist for blood, he started writing musical notes on the scroll. As he neared the end of the line, he gouged out more of his skin to secrete more ink for the paper. When the subject was pulled away, immediate fear and rage overthrew him. The GENSEC guard quickly detained and sedated him with a small tablet. The subject was brought to a padded room and left alone for two hours. Within 5 minutes, the subject started eating the padding to “try to escape” and “finish what wasn’t done”. Tearing profusely, the subject was sedated with K-Z1 Gas. Briefly, after waking up, the subject displayed signs of trauma and confusion. He noticed the scratches on his wrist and had no recollection of doing such an act. He sat up and slowly mentioned, “It needs to be finished.” The subject was terminated, and his remains and clothing were incinerated. 

 

Conclusion: SCP-012’s pull on subjects is determined to be so strong, that the strongest amnestic gas cannot rid the mind of its presence. Further testing must be done on the production of this fear in the brain, and what impairing parts of the subject can cause. SCP-012 subjects should never be released back into their cells after testing, and any instance of site personnel coming near SCP-012 must be taken with precaution, if not immediate termination.
