3. Roster Name?: akrew10

4. Current Rank?: CPT

5. When were you promoted?: March 13th

6. How long have you been a member of GENSEC (roughly)?: I’ve been in Security for about 8-9 months. Joined mid to late October

7. Do you promise to uphold all rules instated by GamingLight and by the many Security guidelines?: Yes

8. Do you promise to uphold your duties as a command member in leadership, mentoring, problem-solving, etc.?:Yes

9. Do you promise that you will listen and respect your lower / higher rankings?: Yes

10. Why do you want to become a senior command member? (150 WORDS+):

I want to become a senior command member as I feel like I am ready for the position. I have been in low command for a while and feel ready for an upgrade. I am fairly active in Security and have hosted a fair amount of PTs throughout my time in command and always deliver them when asked to do so. I tend to promote those who deserve it and while it may not be often, I make sure that no one goes unnoticed. How I do that is being active at around 3-4 am EST. I’m usually on at that time every other day and helps those in other time zones or those who just generally have good late-night activity. I can communicate well with enlisted and NCOs alike and try to help everyone have a good time while in d-block. I feel as if I am easy to approach and I spend most of my time in d-block ready to be there if anyone has a question or if something goes wrong. If something does go wrong, I am usually lenient upon newer security and will give a second chance unless the scenario is severe. I try to communicate well with all ranks in Security and I feel as if I do so. During my time in command, I haven’t received a strike and plan to keep it like that for the remainder of my time in Security. I am also DHFTO which helps me gain experience and a new set of skills that I feel will be useful in senior command not to mention being a big commitment to the branch as a whole. I have tried to improve with criticism and mistakes that I made and improved upon ever since I joined command.

11. What would you do if a Security Officer was constantly leaving D Block?:

First, if they did leave d-block constantly with permission, I would have to talk to the NCO giving permission to the OFC and say that the Enlisted need a valid reason to leave D-Block like to go to Med-Bay or armory. If they left without permission, I would tell them that they must get SGT+ permission if they want to leave D-block for any reason. If they happened to do it again then I would give them a verbal warning and he will face removal on the next time he did it. If they did it again, then I would just remove them and place a DNT of 4 days for not listening to command and leaving d-block without permission.

12. What would you do if an NCO kept on leaving d-block with terrible reasons?:

I would confront the NCO and ask why he would keep leaving D-block. Once he gives me his reasoning (which is terrible in this scenario) I would then explain that he would good reasons like low on health, need to go to armory, leading a patrol, etc. Then I would ask him not to leave D-block without reason again. If I see him doing it again I would give him a verbal and put him on either the watchlist or DNP for two days.

13. What do you do if an E-11 private comes into d block and attempts to take command of all of the security?: I would first order them to leave as the MOTD states that E-11 are not allowed in D-Block unless SPECIFIC circumstances are met which in this case they are most likely not. If they constantly try and come into d-block, I would inform them that it is against the MOTD to come into d-block and would immediately try to get ahold of E-11 CMD so that they could deal with it. If they do it once more, I would resort to calling a sit and have staff deal with them since they are breaking MOTD.

14. Explain the process of promoting a corporal to sergeant in your own words:

Well prior to promoting a CPT to a SGT, I would first make sure that they are not on the DNP and make sure that they are on the roster. Then I would bring them to bunks and ask them to go to a separate TS channel. There I would give them the NCO guide and go over the important parts with them like calling protocols on code orande/black, how to give escorts and lead patrols, they can give permission to leave d-block, and join FTO program. If they would like to join the FTO program, I would train them after this process. Then I would make sure that they have a forums account and give them discord tags. Then with the new channels that they have I would explain how they can recommend enlisted for promotion and make NCO activity logs which looks good for them and those that are one with them. They could also be trained for sniper if they haven’t done so. Once that is done, I would whitelist them and fill out the promotion log.
