Background Research: SCP-173 is extremely hostile and sentient, which means it is most likely going to attack fruitlessly until either it gives up or simply continues. Hypothesis: SCP-173 will attack living creatures regardless of the attacks having any visible effect. Observations (What Happened During Test): Senior Researcher Nook, Myself, a member of the Ethics Committee, and a single high ranking security member entered the testing area right before a CI raid, and we began to test the hypothesis with the 2 131 specimens on site. 131-A and 131-B seemed to not stare at 173, not in normal behavior. 173 remained motionless, even without visual contact. This seemed puzzling, so Senior Researcher Nook ordered the high ranking security personnel to poke 173, which was done without incident. We then wrote down our findings, which is when the CI raid started. We packed up and went along our way. Evidence/Visual Stimuli: 131-A and 131-B enter 173's Chamber, making eye contact until doors close. 173 remains inanimate despite no visual contact. Security Personnel pokes 173 and later exits. 131-A and 131-B are escorted out of the containment chamber. End Test. Analysis / Conclusion (What Could Of Caused The Results): 173 not attacking both 131 specimens could have 2 causes, it thinks attacking is worthless thanks to 131's abilities, or attacking is worthless thanks to it's nigh indestructability. Was Your Hypothesis Correct?: No, as 173 did not attack the Specimens. New Hypothesis: SCP-173 will not attack animate creatures that it thinks are immune to its attack. It's kind of short and reading it made me confused of what was happening in the test also don't send security in to SCPs chambers as that is what D-classes are for.
