Mr. Bright Posted January 23, 2021 Share Posted January 23, 2021 (edited) Lore Name: Smit Rank: JR SCP: 049 Object class: Euclid Question / Idea: To gain more knowledge of this so called "Pestilence" Background Research: SCP-049 is a humanoid entity, roughly 1.9 meters in height, which bears the appearance of a medieval plague doctor. While SCP-049 appears to be wearing the thick robes and the ceramic mask indicative of that profession, the garments instead seem to have grown out of SCP-049's body over time and are now nearly indistinguishable from whatever form is beneath them. X-rays indicate that despite this, SCP-049 does have a humanoid skeletal structure beneath its outer layer. SCP-049 is capable of speech in a variety of languages, though tends to prefer English or medieval French. While SCP-049 is generally cordial and cooperative with Foundation staff, it can become especially irritated or at times outright aggressive if it feels that it is in the presence of what it calls the "Pestilence". Although the exact nature of this Pestilence is currently unknown to Foundation researchers, it does seem to be an issue of immense concern to SCP-049. Hypothesis: SCP-049 will give us some information in return for a reward. Observations (What Happened During Test): [BEGIN VIDEO LOG] [JR. Smit begins interview with a greeting] JR Smit: SCP-049 How are you doing today? SCP-049: Eh fine so far. JR Smit: That's good, so I have a list of about twenty questions I'm going to ask you. If you are willing to cooperate we would be willing to give you 2 DClass and a book of you choosing. SCP-049: Hmmm, alright. JR Smit: Does that sound like a good deal to you? SCP-049: Yep [See attached video for questions] (My apologies for the breathing xD) Analysis / Conclusion (What Could Of Caused The Results): SCP-049 seemed happy to answer my questions with some detail but at times seemed to contradict himself. Maybe he is not telling us the full truth? Maybe he is hiding something from us he thinks to important to disclose. Was Your Hypothesis Correct?: We found some new information that this so called Pestilence is linked to the black plaque. He states he detects the pestilence in one of our Research Command by the name of Hugh and he plans to "cure the doctor".
