SCP-500 "The Pangea" Mental Test

Recommended Posts

Lore Name: Junior Researcher Oscar
Rank: JR
SCP: SCP-500

Question / Idea: Does SCP-500 cure mental ailments (depression, autism, ect) as well as physical?
Background Research: SCP-500 is able to cure any physical injury, whether it be a papercut or flesh wound. Using this information, it's safe to assume SCP-500 may or may not 'cure' something related to the brain.
Hypothesis: SCP-500 will not 'cure' mental ailments.

Observations (What Happened During Test): First, I went to D-block to gather a D-Class personnel. I forgot his name, but was cooperative and all around pretty cool. He claimed he had depression in a terribly sad tone, and claimed 'who doesn't nowadays?' So he was perfect for my test. I restrained him and made sure that we got to SCP-500's containment chamber safely, and thankfully (and unsafely) it was already open. He went inside and I watched from outside the cell, but just close enough to see what he would actually do. The subject proceeded to pick up an instance of SCP-500 and consume it. He turned around and looked at me, nothing had happened. Just as we started to leave, he claimed that he was 'starting to feel better' and 'hadn't felt this good in a long time.' I escorted him to medbay, where he got some anesthesia and then back to D-block, where he was released. I hope he stays happy.
Evidence/Visual Stimuli: Unfortunately, I was extremely forgetful in taking a screenshot. Do keep in mind this was yesterday night, sorry about that.

Analysis / Conclusion (What Could Of Caused The Results): Conclusion? SCP-500 can cure depression, or at least satiate it for a little. I don't know about other mental ailments, however. Further testing most likely required.
Was Your Hypothesis Correct?: Surprisingly, no!
