SCP: 038

Errors and/or safety hazards: Can fire bullets back at anyone and can attack back if damaged with a melee weapon.

Question: Will 038 survive a bullet straight at it? Will melee weapons work as well?

Background Research: I did not do this research but was present, it's a tree like object and can copy anything that it touches. Can also make the object turn into a tree like object.

Hypothesis: SCP 038 will take the bullet like any tree would but no effects would occur. With the melee weapon we decided to use a fire ax and some pieces came off but overall it did not damage and did hit the user who was wielding it.

Time of test: 12/6/19 

- During the beginning of the test, it was placed in the Safe/Euclid testing chamber.

- Researcher Administrator Light told FTO MSGT Kilroy to take a shot.

 -As he shot the bullet reflected off SCP 038 and flew from wall to wall and nearly injured a JR.

- Nobody was hurt during the first shot, so we continued with our test.

- Now we wanted to test with a fire ax.

- We placed D-5196 in front of SCP 038 with a fire ax.

- D-5196 was instructed to hit it once.

- D-5196 proceeded to follow instructions and was hit back by SCP 038.

- D-5196 was fine but we took him behind the fence until further notice.

Analysis and Conclusion: The Class D we used was very suspicious of what was going on. He eventually calmed down after seeing a tree as he suspected nothing of it. The JR scientist instructed FTO MSGT to fire straight at it and the bullet came back from wall to wall, and finally died down. The Class D was given a fire ax and told to hit SCP 038 with it. D-5196 was nervous but got the courage to hit it. D-5196 struck it with all his might but was struck back as he walked away. D - 5196 was fine and recovered from it. As we discuss what happened, we came up with the conclusion that SCP 038 will reflect damage to the user who attacked it and reflect bullets.
