What you want to see? - Instead of a day/Night cycle that everyone has been suggesting, make an EVENT with a Night time. Maybe just activate it for, say, 15 or 20 minutes, during which it is dark out and such. After which, it is set back to normal.

Why should we add it? - I believe it offers the best of both worlds in a sense. I know lots of players have been practically begging for a Day and Night Cycle mod, but then everyone else, and quite rightfully so, says that it will cause far to much lag. This way, players that it will cause lag for, will only have it for a little while, and those that want the night time get their wish for a few minutes at a time.

What are the advantages of having this? - (More or less explained above) Best of both worlds thing again.

Who is it mainly for? - Absolutely everyone.

Links to any content - Honestly, you dont really need a whole new fancy mod for this. As this can be achieved with the Fog and Sky editor, both part of Gmod. The process on effectively doing this is at this link:
