  1. Lore Name: Simon Rank: Associate SCP: 049 Question / Idea: What is the "pestilence", where did it come from, and why is SCP-049 obsessed with the pestilence? Background Research: SCP-049, also known as The Plague Doctor, is a Euclid anomaly that "wears" a bubonic-plague-esc doctor's uniform. It should be noted all of their "clothes" are actually organic matter. SCP-049 is obsessed with what they call the "pestilence", which they claim is the root of all disease and decay. Although people have researched on SCP-049 in the past, they have been answered a slew of questions instead of specifically on the "pestilence." Hypothesis: If one were to interview SCP-049 specifically about the "pestilence", they could elaborate on who, what, when, or where it came from and why. Observations (What Happened During Test): We entered the testing chamber at 11:15PM with one Class-D, going by the name Jimmy, and one GENSEC as escort. It should be noted, it was still code black until around the time Jimmy was sent into 049's containment cell first. Jimmy had entered with a pen and notebook, shortly followed by me as the interviewer after him. During the interview Jimmy wrote down notable questions like "If the pestilence is innate to all humans, is it not a good thing?" and "How is this doctor not free of the pestilence itself?" It should be noted during the interview, Jimmy was asked if he consented to remaining in SCP-049's cell after the interview. The following recording shows a long interview/discussion with 049, as Jimmy was taking notes. Evidence/Visual Stimuli: Analysis / Conclusion (What Could Of Caused The Results): SCP-049 was not able to demonstrate what this "zombie" would look like, instead Jimmy's anxiety caught up to him. Jimmy was so anxious he tried to run out of the room to escape, in which the security terminated Jimmy as the security though he was brandishing a weapon. We quickly were able to close 049's cell door, leaving their containment around 11:45PM. Was Your Hypothesis Correct?: Inconclusive, 049 was very vague about the pestilence and its origin and was more concerned on their method of "treatment." Future researchers should be advised to record interviews either behind the cell windows and have D-Class personnel instructed to ask a series of questions instead.
  2. Lore Name: Simon Rank: Associate (Junior at the time of testing) SCP: 682 Question / Idea: Why does 682 hate humanity? Background Research: SCP-682, also known as the "Hard to Destroy Reptile", is a giant reptilian creature known for it's seeming immortality by adapting and adopting its aggressors attacks. For example if you were to try and burn it with a flamethrower, it would then counter-attack by breathing fire at you like a dragon. However, one thing most people forget about 682 is it's sentience. 682 shows signs of intelligence that some say slightly surpass that of a human. However, 682's core principle is its disdain for the human species, but there's never been a clear answer why. 682 has only ever answered vaguely like for example: "Disgusting" or "They're smelly." There needed to be a test specifically interviewing 682 on the basis of why it hates humanity. Hypothesis: If given a chance to have a conversation with a Class-D subject, 682 may be able to elaborate why it hates humanity so much. Observations (What Happened During Test): With the permission of DoRS Sixx, we entered SCP-682's containment chamber around 5:40PM with two security guards as escort, two paramedics, and one Class-D personnel, going by the name Danne or Dan for short. After about 5 minutes of setting up, we were able to lift the platform so 682 and Dan could have their discussion. Originally I had situated myself inside 682's cell to record the interaction. However, due to Dan's lack of interaction, most likely social anxiety, I had to initiate most of the conversation. Due to reasons unclear, one of the modules controlling one of the doors to 682's cell malfunctioned, causing the door to open midway through the interview. The following recording below is SCP-682's attempted explanation of why he hates humanity. Evidence/Visual Stimuli: Analysis / Conclusion (What Could Of Caused The Results): The interview ended with the Dan's immediate death when 682 must've gotten bored/hungry and bit down on Dan's head. Following after the recording, SCP-682 went back to its cell, most likely to rest, in which we took the opportunity to try and close the door manually. We then left SCP-682's containment around 6:10PM. Was Your Hypothesis Correct?: Although SCP-682's answers were a bit all over the place on why, he narrowed it down to an understandable point: SCP-682 hates humanity not only because the torture they cause to himself and other anomalies, but also because humans are the sole destroyers of the environment/nature. Not only should research, but also anyone else who's a member/associate of the Foundation, reflect on the points 682 has made about humanity as more or less a critique of the Foundation; Especially considering we're the majority of humanity that SCP-682 has been exposed to. Although I might not be part of the Ethics Committee, I would still advise future researchers to proceed with caution when testing on SCP-682.
  3. Lore Name: Simon Rank: Junior SCP: 432 Question / Idea: What was/could be found inside SCP-432 Background Research: SCP-432, also known as the "Cabinet Maze", is a labyrinth maze that seemingly fits inside an ordinary cabinet. It has been rarely explored/understood. Hypothesis: Could SCP-432 be navigated/explored? Observations (What Happened During Test): We entered 432's containment room with two Class-D's and one GENSEC Officer as escort. We then stripped the D-Class of any potential weapons or communications and uncuffed them one at a time. The first Class-D, going by the nickname "Ham", entered the cabinet. About a minute later, the second Class-D, going by the nickname "Mole", entered the cabinet as well. The maze seemed to be relatively small, taking about 10 minutes to navigate. According to Ham there were "medkits, armor charges, and other stuff" sitting in various spots around the maze, he then presented us a medkit he had picked up as proof. Two minutes later, Mole had came charging out claiming to hear a loud roar in the distance, saying "I can't understand where the f*ck it could be coming from in a such a small maze." They didn't show signs of mental or physical injury. We then promptly seized the various supplies they may have found, re-cuffed them and returned them to their cells. Evidence/Visual Stimuli: Analysis / Conclusion (What Could Of Caused The Results): Considering the two D-Class came out without injury, we should attempt to conduct more investigations into SCP-432. Questions like: "Can SCP-432 change its maze and if so how frequently does it do so?" or "Where is that roaring sound coming from?" should be raised and answered with more testing. However, to any researcher, especially less experienced ones that are new to the field, should proceed with caution when testing on this anomalous entity. If any researcher is to encounter any activity where the D-Class are consistently harmed mentally or physically, it would be wise to request the designation of SCP-432 to be changed from Safe to Euclid. Was Your Hypothesis Correct?: Yes, however, it should be noted that with further testing they may become more difficult if the maze changes or becomes longer/bigger.
  4. Lore Name: Simon Rank: Junior SCP: 513 (and 330) Question / Idea: What would the psychological effects of SCP-513 be on D-4782's mental health? Background Research: All previous cases of SCP-513 involved a D-Class without any sort of medical assistance. Half of which already had cases of mental illness which played a role in worsening mental health. Hypothesis: We needed a mentally stable D-Class Personnel, with no prior history of mental illness, to be able to ring the bell (513), given that they would receive a sufficient amount of food, water, and medical aid. Observations: After 5 minutes of trying to locate the cell we finally arrived. After one minute of setting up, so the D-Class couldn't run off, we asked them to touch the bell. After about a minute of hesitation they did so. Only about 30 seconds after they started to see a figure in the corner. Over the course of 2 minutes they complained it was scratching them. After 10 minutes of hiding in the corner, we opened the cell to try to give him medical aid until they lunged out of his cell. He then ran to SCP-330's cell, along with the surrounding cells, kicking the doors down as he did. He ran into 330's cell to eat the candy from the bowl, only to have their hands fall off, which violently spewed blood all over the walls and floor. After 30 seconds of his hands falling off he fell on the floor and died almost immediately of blood loss. Evidence/Visual Stimuli (N/A if unable/none): N/A Analysis / Conclusion (What Could Of Caused The Results): SCP-513's psychological effects are unpredictable. If we are to analyze 513's effects any further we must relocate their cell to heavy containment as soon as possible as to avoid another scenario like this one. Was Your Hypothesis Correct?: Unknown (Insufficient data).
